The property was perfect and in the perfect place. We loved the indoor pool used to go in it everyday after the beach. We had an accessible room so the bathroom was nice and big. Lots of stuff around from gas stations to a lot of food options, pharmacy, and a supermarket. There’s also a pub/bar inside which is called Christopher’s and the food was really good. The best thing is that this property is just 10-15mins to seaside heights beach depending on traffic. The only downfall of this place I would say is that there’s no continental breakfast and it’s advertised, the WiFi is no good and the beds are not quite comfortable, our bed had a metal clanking noise on every turn but the kids bed did not so maybe it was just ours that was faulty. But other than that everything else was great. Would definitely go back and do recommend.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The downsides were the pillows were too squishy and the tv channels were limited. The shower was roomy with good water pressure but there was no place to put the soap or shampoo except on the counter outside the shower. This made for a wet slippery floor. There was also no bathmat towels so either a hand towel or bath towel needed to be used. The reason I picked the hotel was because it had an indoor pool so that I didn’t have to worry about my granddaughter getting sunburned. The first day we went in the pool it was freezing, dirty on the bottom and cloudy. I advised the front desk but it wasn’t much better the next day. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay. There’s plenty of options for food and entertainment and it’s not far from the local beaches.

Decent hotel. You’re only going to stay here because you’re close to Jersey Shore without the prices. The pool area wasn’t too clean. The guests do not follow policy, and were rowdy in the hallways two nights in a row. We reported it on the second night. Front desk was a little afraid to reprimand the guest in the rooms on our hall, and I believe police were called. The best thing about this hotel was the bar-restaurant combo downstairs. We extended our stay in NJ, but did not stay here. We moved to a different hotel.

Room was clean but in disrepair. Sink was cracked and toilet didn't flush. The doors to the room don't fit properly and bright light from hallway illuminates entire room. The ac unit didn't work properly and the entire cover fell off. There's better options in the area. No need to ever stay here again! The bright spot was the food in the bar. It was delish and the bartenders were wonderful!

As we entered there was a large sign stating-This is a non-smoking facility(?) As soon as you enter the bldg it smelled like smoke. When we get to our room there is a small sign on the door stating "This is a non-smoking room". Upon entry it smelled like smoke. Not happy. We did bring our dog (beagle) so the room was pet friendly. I would rather the room smell like a dog than smell like smoke. We endured it since there are limited pet-friendly rooms. Other than the smell the room was clean and beds comfortable. My only other comment - The door to enter our section of the hotel had a magnetic swipe to use your hotel key. The door was ALWAYS open, not requiring your hotel key. I feel this is a safety hazard. ANYONE could enter the hotel.

The pool was gross. It was dirty. The filter seemed to not be functioning. There wasn't any chlorine (or so it seemed). There were wet towels on the ground around the pool. It was dark inside the pool room. A couple overhead lights were out. One light was flickering.

Stayed 1 night. Stained and worn sheets and towels, lights not working at the entrance to the room, sink was clogged, musty smell, curtains with holes, noisy air conditioner, walls, interior looked shabby, everything looked outdated and stale. I still wonder why they charged me almost $200 a night, will never stay there again.

We left after 1 night. The hallway smelled of crap and were not clean, bathroom toilet didnt flush, baby cried all night while they walked it in the hallway, AC smelled of urine when it was turned on and the bed was made with sand in it. I asked for a ground floor and was told they didnt have any other rooms available.

I will start off by saying the POSITIVE aspects of this hotel: Clean linens, tv worked, bed was comfortable, room temp was comfortable, Housekeeping staff were polite and accommodating, two front desk clerks were polite and helpful, which were an elderly lady and an elderly gentleman. NEGATIVE and DISGUSTING COMMENTS: Front desk staff were not friendly or accommodating,The hallway was foggy with cigarette smoke to the point where it was hard to breathe. I asked the desk clerk about all the smoke in the nonsmoking area and he told me that this hotel was not the Radisson. The noise outside the room, in the bar/restaurant and traffic areas was so loud we had difficulty falling asleep. I had to put a pillow over my head to sleep.I asked if we could be moved twice to no avail, just told NO.We would have left but I paid in full when I made the reservation. The sliding glass doors were filthy. The darkening drape did not close all the way bc hooks were missing, the refrigerator literally stunk. Ants were crawling on the nightstand and floor and on a piece of gum stuck under the bathroom sink. The shower curtain had several holes. The side entrance to the hotel was filthy with bags of garbage laying on the ground and the door was filthy. The property was neglected and unkept ,the pool was cloudy and the surrounding area messy and dirty. In our hallway I saw a very shady deal going down and did not feel safe. I am sad to give such a negative but it's all true.

Hotel was extremely dirty. Stained sheets, dirty bathroom, smelled of smoke all over. Old, outdated room. Asked to be moved due to the smoke smell, was offered 1 other room 5 doors down. When looking at it, was told we couldn't touch anything and needed to make a decision right then and there. Decided to leave.

Expensive. If u travel with service animal. You will get a gross room. Did see rooms in front. They were cleaner looking. Slider door didn’t work right. Struggle to close or open. Absolutely awful. Let me share with you some of the lowlights (and mind you, I’m usually pretty forgiving. But once I was already mad, all these tiny things that I normally brush off, became just another turd in the pile). -Rock hard bed -Filing cabinet style bed frame -Disgusting jacuzzi -Cracked shower floor -Rotting wood in cabinets -Dilapidated curtains -Crumbling door frame -Pixelated tv -Ice machine was hidden behind what would normally be considered a closet in the hallway. I only found it cause I could hear it. It wasn’t labeled. I took a chance and opened the door -“Smoke free”, not according to the smell in the halls -2 shower heads, both half functioning -4 beat up standard pillows on a king bed -The room next to us (room 109), a fight broke out at 3:30am (Friday night). They threw a chair through the sliding glass window. The cops showed up. The manager was beyond useless as my boyfriend talked to the police. Because the hotel was full, they still rented the room out Saturday to a separate couple, but didn’t bother cleaning the glass on the patio. I contacted Hotels.com twice. 15 minutes after we arrived and the morning after the fight. The hotel was dead set on refunding nothing for me, even with Hotels.com contacting them. Screw this place It only let me add 8 photos, I took like 20

Where do I begin!? WORST HOTEL I ever stayed in!!!! The bathroom door did NOT shut, the slider door on the first floor did not lock (the lock mechanism came out and went nowhere) and there was a j hook on the floor to lock it (super sturdy 🙄), had to place the suitcase rack against the j hook to feel somewhat secure, not to mention it was the first floor where anyone could potentially enter. The blanket was flimsy and there was a huge hole in the sheet. The shower curtain had holes in it too. There was an argument/fight in the hallway as well. I would NEVER again nor let someone I know stay at a Howard Johnson based on my 1-night experience at this location!

Not being able to see the building from the photos should have been a red flag. My daughter and I were alone and would have felt safer on the second floor. First floor rooms all had old sliders that went out side (as an old motel does) and it felt icky. The room had a broken lock and when I asked for a room upstairs I was told no since I had gone inside the room and touched a bed. The manager told us he'd fix the door and then left us standing in the lobby for 20 minutes. Never came back to tell us it was fixed. The bed foundations were metal so when you moved it sounded like someone was banging on your door. The walls were very thing and you could hear the neighbor sneezing. This was not a good stay and I was very disappointed with how were were treated.

The bed foundations were metal so when you moved it sounded like someone was banging on your door. The walls were very thing and you could hear the neighbor sneezing. The hotel had some upgrades but he room was still outdated. I had booked the room on Expedia as a pay later and they charged my card right away which I was not prepared for. Then they charged the deposit on the same card even though I wanted it on another card which caused an issue for me. There were hardly any towels and the bed was hard as a rock. For the price of the room, I expected better.

Sink broken in bathroom, someone broke something outside my room, sticky & broken glass .- not cleaned up for several hours. No ice bucket. Had to ask several times. Overall service poor. The girl handling the front desk did all she could do until “management “ came in. Not a place I would stay again. The room should not have been rented out in the condition it was in.

Upon check in, desk clerk was rude, and rather than answer questions, rolled her eyes, and handed us a list of breakfast and pool times. Location was run down and, although clean, in need of updating. Although our floor was "non smoking", the hallways reeked of marijuana smoke. In the morning, (fyi, 45 minutes before breakfast ended), the coffee had run out. There seemed to be no breakfast attendant present, so we asked at the front desk. The desk clerk --- who was quite harried --- told us that she'd try to get in there asap. Upon inquiring, she stated that she was "it" ... both desk clerk and breakfast room attendant. Later upon checkout, the clerk, barely took time from what was obviously a personal telephone call, took our key cards, but did not inquire about / offer a receipt.

When we walked into the room our feet/shoes literally, audibly stuck to the floor. Each step made a sticking sound as we picked our foot up off the ground. There was no microwave in the room. No phone to call the office. Only 2 pillows per bed, no extra blankets anywhere. We had a 3 night stay and our room was cleaned zero times. Everything was disgusting. There was absolutely no protein at breakfast, not even yogurt. The waffle mix was watered down so as soon as you got your waffle onto your plate it completely deflated and it essentially dissolved in your mouth, completely devoid of any flavor. We were verbally accosted by what appeared to be a drunk, homeless man at breakfast. He told us we were an abomination to the Lord, because he believed one of us was a lesbian. Thankfully the staff overheard and kicked him out. The staff was very kind but the premises and the “amenities” were far worse than “subpar”. It was truly a disgusting experience.

Where to start??? The front desk gave a key to our room to another guest at 4am and the guest (no fault of his own) attempted to enter our room while my family was sleeping. My children were terrified for the rest of the night wondering if a stranger would come into the room. When we called the front desk, we received attitude from the staff. The manager was not onsite in the morning, so we asked for him to call us to discuss, and he NEVER did. When we tried to check in there was no one at the front desk for 20 minutes. While waiting I was accosted by another guest who was angry that he was waiting in his room for over an hour for towels. The locks at the entry doors were not secured. The bar was super loud with karaoke. We were assigned the wrong type of room. We went to the new room. The room was 78 degrees when we entered. We had to go to the car to get fans packed for vacation. It was a disaster.

When i checked in, the hotel overbooked & gave away the 2 queen bed room & gave me a king bed & a cot for 4 women. It wasnt fair & we booked the double queen room for a reason. The front desk vlerk this night was so nice & helpful that we grinned & bared it but it was uncomfortable for the 4 of us this way. We survived but it was uncomfortable.

We checked in and the staff was extremely rude. The gentleman was in the back in his phone and it seemed like we were inconveniencing him by checking in. We tried calling 5 times to let them know we were checking in late and never once would they answer the phone. Once to our room our toilet was coming undone from the floor and the toilet seat had a massive crack in it. The thermostat was ripped off of the way and exposed wires were there. The room comes with a blow dryer but it was not working so we I had to leave with wet hair for the day due to them not being able to provide a working on once asking. The manager came to address our concerns an hour later after being told he would be up in 15 minutes. They switched us to another room for our next night and it was in better condition but the bed was extremely hard.

The property was perfect and in the perfect place. We loved the indoor pool used to go in it everyday after the beach. We had an accessible room so the bathroom was nice and big. Lots of stuff around from gas stations to a lot of food options, pharmacy, and a supermarket. There’s also a pub/bar inside which is called Christopher’s and the food was really good. The best thing is that this property is just 10-15mins to seaside heights beach depending on traffic. The only downfall of this place I would say is that there’s no continental breakfast and it’s advertised, the WiFi is no good and the beds are not quite comfortable, our bed had a metal clanking noise on every turn but the kids bed did not so maybe it was just ours that was faulty. But other than that everything else was great. Would definitely go back and do recommend.

Tiny towels, rationed by housekeeping. No sign of the continental breakfast, and a seedy restaurant that didn't have most of the drinks on the menus. Blinked and missed the coffee. Wobbly toilet and drippy shower that flooded the bathroom. Cheap on the easy things that make an economical stay, bearable.

Decent hotel. You’re only going to stay here because you’re close to Jersey Shore without the prices. The pool area wasn’t too clean. The guests do not follow policy, and were rowdy in the hallways two nights in a row. We reported it on the second night. Front desk was a little afraid to reprimand the guest in the rooms on our hall, and I believe police were called. The best thing about this hotel was the bar-restaurant combo downstairs. We extended our stay in NJ, but did not stay here. We moved to a different hotel.

The room itself was nice, however it was dufficult to manage the room temperature. It took a while to figure out the right temp on the thermostat. Iy was either way too cold or too hot I was very dissappointed with the breakfast offerings. I was hoping for $300/night we could at least get a pastry or bagel and juice. The juice machine was out of service and nothing was offered in its place. There were no fresh fruits, bagels or pastrues. Just dry cereal, white bread and make your own waffles. Not very accomodating for people with digestive issues.

The ac unit didn't work properly and the entire cover fell off. There's better options in the area. No need to ever stay here again! The bright spot was the food in the bar. It was delish and the bartenders were wonderful!

The room was clean. Only complaint is that there was no stopper in the sink. They allow pets, the dog next door to my room started barking at 5:30 AM. It seems to be a large facility, pet owners should be in a separate area. It was okay for a one night stay. I liked the idea of a pub with pub grub attached to the facility. The Pub seems to be a local hangout!
