I never got to a room because the elevator was out, and it had been out for 3.5 weeks! I had been booked onto the 3rd floor, and there was no one available to help take my 50# suite case there. Needless to say, I left. How is it that Hampton allows an elevator to be out that long? I've stayed at Hamptons a lot and have never had a serious problem.

The staff were very nice and supportive but the elevator being broken and our room was on the third floor just was not good. We had luggage, computer bags, carry on bags etc. Good thing the breakfast was excellent and was delicious. The indoor pool was available but we only had a few days so didn't take a dip. Hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants. I just hope when I return the elevator is fixed.

Elevator not working and put us on the 3rd floor! Really?! Old hotel and it shows. I suppise the room was clean, large, but the beds were NOT queen size. Truth in advertising?

We booked the reservation through Expedia and no where the hotel mentioned that there are no working lifts, all the rooms were in 3rd flow and we had to carry all our luggage’s to 3rd floor, the hotel staff and manager were very rude did t help any way, I would never recommend this hotel, the hotel rooms were bad and old not maintenard

Location is perfect as there are many restaurants available by car or you can walk to. The only disappointing item was that the Jacuzzi was not in service and that’s what I was really looking forward to. We checked in at around 4 PM and the female staff member was absolutely amazing. I don’t know her name but thank God for her. And lastly, breakfast was awesome.

Found a roach in bathtub. No path from one side of parking lot to the otherside. Had to walk over rocks. Plus entry and exit was blocked by semi.

The doors on the rooms need to updated because you can hear people talking in the hall like the door was opened in the room. There are large gaps all around the door frame. Maybe some weather stripping would help. The free breakfast also ran out of milk and cereal

Rooms were very basic and bland although nice size. Shower pressure bad and hot water not great. Coffee just lukewarm .We were very grateful of younger gentleman who gave 6 of us ideas on where to go after checking in for walk and dinner. He overheard us asking front desk staff while mopping up a spilled water bottle and jumped in with some great ideas. Great customer service . Staff in breakfast area very nice as well.

Shower head did not work well. My wife is short and the spray didn’t reach her. It was just not a good shower head, water stood in the tub, so it didn’t drain well. Also, when the shower was on, the water still had a steady flow from the tub faucet. Other than the shower, very pleasant stay.

Overall our stay was good. Easy check in, friendly staff. Unfortunately the air conditioner in our room wasn't working properly. We originally thought it was because of the over 100° day and it would eventually cool the room but as the night continued it only got hotter in our room. By that time it was too late and I was too tired to report the problem. At checkout we informed the front desk of the issue and hopefully it will be fixed before someone else uses that room. I truly wish it had been a better experience because other than it being several degrees warmer in our room than in the hallway everything else about our stay was nice.

I like Hampton Inns because they are consistent — no different here. In this case though the shower water pressure sucked even after adjusting the head setting. Give me a good hot shower or lose my business.

We had booked a handicap room. When we arrived, we were told that our room would not be ready for another hour to hour and an half which would have been until 530 or 6 o’clock. We asked for another room which we were given. It worked OK for us although it didn’t have the features we had wanted. It didn’t seem like hospitality was the issue, but instead it was business as usual.

There was no up front disclosure about the cost of the pet fee. If I had know Iwas going to be charged $70. I might have looked elsewhere. We stay in a lot of different hotels and that is the highest rate I have ever seen.

Not quite what i expected from a Hampton Inn. Breakfast was lousy, no bacon or breakfast sausage, and coffee was gross and weak. Very small selection of breakfast. Dining area was nice until we sat down. Chairs, table, and floors were dirty. Upon checking in we weren't properly greeted. Just a 4min wait until the front desk clerk came out from the office and said Can i help you. Room was clean but small in size. Water pressure for shower was weak. I wish they had posted on website that the spa was out of service. Otherwise i'd booked elsewhere. Parking was tight.

Very average hotel. Room is comfortable, but fitness room was lacking. Continental breakfast was very basic. It is, however, very close to the dining options in Alamogordo and if you don't have a car, it is preferable to be close.
