Old and run down. Parking lot was broken up and mostly dirt

More than half of the rooms were red-tagged as unsafe.

Check in was friendly enough. The outdoor/parking area was poorly maintained and bad shape. The room was clean but very run down. The toilet was not securely attached to the floor and the TV would not turn on.in general, a poorly kept old property.

Back stairs to second floor should be condemned. Wood was warped splintered and old !! Old disgusting carpet. Needs major repairs. Wouldn’t even give one star.

Motel were really bad shape. The guy In check In were really nice and freindly. Pool were full of mud. Though, there wasn’t mention, that there would be a pool to swim, but that pool made everything look dirty. In the yard was trashes, really messy. Room were tolerable, but there was some bottle In the fridge. Location didn’t feel safe so we left and didn’t slept there at all.

Staff placed us on the very backside of the property which was dark (no lighting in the parking lot area) and therefore made me uncomfortable to leave me car parked out there. I was up all night checking on my car. Not to mention every drunk throwing a party there was placed in the same area. If I want concerned about my car, I sure would not have slept regardless due to all the noise. Well not stay here again.

Ok for price. Property needs retrofit.

Based on the motel's photos showing an inviting full pool, I booked a 3 day stay in August. On arriving, it appeared that the pool had been covered and closed for the entire season-- or maybe years. What could be seen from the fence looked completely deteriorated. Most of the motel is closed (condemned? about to be torn down?) and only a small section of the motel had a few guests crowded into it-- the parking lot was very deteriorated, like gravel, and it was difficult to park. The room itself was aging/average at best; and the door was almost impossible to open (had to have another guest help me, twice, and they had the same problem). Refrigerator made loud noises all night. Worst of all, I asked that evening if I could cancel my other 2 nights, they said sure, just do it at check out in the morning. At 7 a.m. I checked out, was told I'd have to email the manager to request a refund. The refund was denied, said it was in the (presumable fine print) in the Orbitz booking. Also tried to get refunded the last 2 nights through Orbitz, a process that took 2 months, and was again denied. Turns out one could only cancel a day BEFORE arriving. Buyer beware! Based on this unpleasant experience I've completely lost faith in Orbitz and will not use them again.

This place is a ruin. There's a giant sinkhole in the parking lot. The room was clean but the bathroom counter was worn, the sink had been painted and it was flaking. The television was laughably bad with a useless remote and the satellite signal cut in and out. A motel best suited for drug deals

I can say that our room was clean but outside was very shady. Many closed down hotels and restaurants as well as many feral cats toamimg the property. Slept with one eye open.

The room was a little dirty and the appliances was old.

The property dates from Route 66 days, and looks every bit its age. I was expecting the worst, but the room, dated though it was, was clean and comfortable. Shower and bathroom old but good. The TV turned on but all channels were unwatchable because of snowy screen. AC unit worked very well. Room quiet except for train tracks on other side of road. The area itself is very very poor but walkable...I walked three blocks for excellent Mexican food. But the town has seen better days so it can be unsettling. Recommended though if you need a good night rest at good price.

Our room was horribly disgusting. We were really upset about this room situation. We almost slept outside in our truck.

Entire property is run down. Did not feel particularly safe due to remote location. Room was dated but clean. Price was cheap so you get what you pay for.

Got charged even before checking. Got keys and went to the rooms. None of the keys worked. And once settled TV didnt work.

Towels in poor shape, shower did not work properly, ceiling in bathroom fall particles & had a tooth brush up above the mirror in the bathroom, and an unpleasant smell to the entire room. No AC or Heat control. Noisy fan in the bathroom. The beds seemed clean. Breakfast food was fine with waffles, muffins, cinnamon toast.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. Our initial room had a wall heater unit that made a lot of noise for a bit when it first came on. They gave us a different room for the 2nd night and said they were repairing the heater unit in the room with the noisy one. Being along Rt 40, there was heavy train traffic and a whistle would blow 4x with each train. It was pretty well muffled, but that noise might bother some. I would assume that the train whistle noise would be an issue with most hotels in the general area.

Stay was good. No problems with check in. Room was outdated but was in good condition.

This was a very old style hotel and didn’t remind me of a Days Inn

It was fairly typical of an old motel that hasn’t been kept up. I can understand the lack of reservations has the location is a bit off the travel route. It was a cold night yet the heater keep me warm. My shower in the morning was a shock! Only Luke warm water. Then went to use the hair dryer and it made a horrible sound and started to smoke. The front desk did being me another. Can’t say I will stay there again.

Very friendly and be professional staff. Easy deposit and efficient processing. Even had an amazingly fast late check in

The clerk was extremely nice and explained why the charge does not show up on the receipt when you use Expedia or other third party sites.

I did not stay there. Had the room canceled but still was charged with it

We had a reservation that was not honored. Unfortunately for me and my family with kids there were no tooms available anywhere within a 5 hrs drive. We were forced to sleep in our vehicle in 30°weather the night before the eclipse.

The staff needs to work on customer service even though they were polite, I sat there waiting with not one of them asking if they can help me

Upon arrival, we had to wait 25 minutes to check in, and only 1 person in front of us. The room and stairs needed repairs and paint. The shower didn’t work and the bathroom needs new sink and toilet. After I took a cold, barely any water shower, they gave a key to my wife for the room next door. She said everything in that room was fine. Our room had no nightstands and only a table and chair that looked like it had been pulled out of the dumpster. They weren't busy, so why did we get this room? Breakfast was bad! Coffee grounds in coffee, no waffle mix, and only Yogurt.

There was literal gunfire out back. The beds had something black on the sheets, the front desk attendant was rude. We had a police officer come by at 1am so we could load up our vehicle without risk of becoming a violent crime victim. Avoid this place like the plague or become another statistic in Gallup.

This hotel is very rundown and showing its age. The surrounding area doesn’t appear to be very safe. It is located across the street from the railroad tracks.

It's not in a walkable part of town, it's a little old, but the staff seems to take good care. Clean room and everything worked. Plus they had continental breakfast. Perfect spot for a guy riding a motorcycle cross country.

Desk clerk told me on the phone they had a waffle maker for breakfast. He lied. Poor breakfast offerings. Beds were fine.

The turnitures are broken. There is no hair dryer. The sink faucet has hot water, but the shower only has slightly warm water. There is not enough food for breakfast, very very limited choices. The small refrigerator has broken legs. The only good things are the beds are clean and the staff is frendly.

Arrived late night, was placed in back of property. Had a hard time opening the door. Dead bolt did not work. Was a bit worried about security since it was 3 women traveling. Free breakfast was free , did have waffles. Whole motel was a bit worn out. Not what I expected from Days Inn. Only plus was price was right.
