All was fine and newly renovated, but w/less expensive materials: the tub was plastic and narrow and it creaked when you moved in the shower, and no grab handles. The bathroom door squeaked badly which is not good if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The free breakfast was VERY limited! There is no elevator and the stairs creaked pretty badly. Plenty of staff who were very friendly. All was very clean and orderly.

Yes, it is America’s Best Value hotel. Very clean, good bedside lighting, soft towels, magnifying makeup mirror, coffee in room, fridge, microwave, dresser, blackout curtains, laundry machines, snacks sold in lobby. Only downsides are no safe and the king room is a bit small. Nice staff, too.

There are not a lot of hotel options in New Paltz, and this affordable option was perfect for our needs. We were able to do our laundry quickly. The breakfast area is really cute. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

There is nothing bad to say about this place. They are organized and super friendly. The only thing maybe is the breakfast they offer is very limited and the work out room is tiny but gets the job done. We were very happy here and will return again.

I liked the area and parking. I didn't like the breakfast. Nothing 🔥. Also you have to be 18 or older to use the gym. In our case we weren't allowed to use it even though my 17 year olds father was there.

We stayed there this past weekend. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was minutes from the center of New Paltz with convenient access from rt 87. A continental breakfast was included. They had everything you would expect at a continental breakfast, pastries, cereal, instant oatmeal etc. The specialty coffee machine was a wonderful surprise. We will definitely be staying there again. Thanks for the hospitality.

My husband, my son and I stayed here for two nights, while visiting family in the New Paltz area for Thanksgiving. The bathroom was clean and had the amenities we needed. The room smelled a little musty when we first entered, but it seemed to be clean. The bed was okay, and there was a large TV with a screen that swiveled. It was nice to have two desks, a refrigerator with a large enough freezer to refreeze our ice packs for the trip home, and a very large closet. The complimentary breakfast was nothing fancy, but very adequate - and still complimentary - at a time when many hotels are now charging for breakfast. I would stay here again the next time we are in the area.

This hotel is very clean, the staff is excellent and very accommodating. It’s next to major throughways and roads, but it’s very quiet. The rooms are fantastic. Clean, large, recliners, great bathroom facilities. I would recommend this over the Hampton Inn that sits right next to it 10 times out of 10.

Average motel experience, except the bed was particularly bad. Looking at the bed you could see two large depressions, from one person on either side, and that the foot of the bed was higher than the head. It does not cost much to buy a cheap mattress. Would never stay here again.

The managers attitude about it was so rude. When I looked at the hours realized that we were paying over $250 for 19 hours in a run down hotel. Our room reeks of cheap carpet cleaner. Never again will we stay here.

Finally somebody showed up 25 minutes later. Hotel check in time is at 4pm. Shouldn’t hotel management make sure front desk is staffed during check in hours on a Saturday at all times? Room is clean but extremely dated. You look out the window and you’re staring at a wall. Hotel charges too much for the room and service you get.

Check out was complete different experience because a different lady was very friendly. The stay itself was ok. The check in process just killed the mood and ruined my day. I don't like it.

When I checked in, I told the girls the office Cynthia that I had a service dog. She didn't see the dog, but she gave me the worst time. She ruined my stay there. The hotel is beautiful the next day I spoke to Denise when having breakfast and I told her how rude she was. First of all, it is against the law for them to question anything about a registered service dog. She told me there was no such thing as registrations and I thought she was not gonna let my girlfriend and I stay there. We had been driving from Daytona Beach and we were exhausted , so I didn't argue with her. She was also rude to my girlfriend later on at night who she didn't know was with me when she went down the hall with an ice bucket. She just said it's over there very rudely and then when Sharon asked her if she meant the ice machine, she said yeah it's over there. if it wasn't for her, everything would've been fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable and everyone else there was great. I hate to give a bad review because of one person because it's not really fair.

The hotel staff was very nice and my stay was pleasant. I didn't encounter any issues and was very happy with the cleanliness of the rooms. Check-in and check-out were easy. I got a lot of communication from the hotel beforehand. The free breakfast was basic but adequate. The coffee from the machine was very good! The location near grocery store and gas station was very convenient. The drive into the main part of New Paltz was also short, which made this a great location to stay at. The only surprise was that the double beds were very small. They were larger than a twin but not the standard double-size. It was a tight squeeze for two thin people. .

Both front desk employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. Due to its location right at the intersection of I-87 and state highway 299, traffic noise was intrusive. Also, turning into the street where the hotel is located was difficult as it involved making a left turn across 3 lanes of traffic waiting for the traffic light. It was actually easier to go down the road and drive through the Hampton Inn's parking lot and take the back way into America's Best's lot. The Continental breakfast was just average.

The motel is a little tricky to find as the entrance is adjacent to a busy intersection, but the motel was very clean, the staff friendly, the upgrades appropriate and once inside we never heard the traffic. AND...the price per night was substantially less than most motels we checked in the area.

Exceeded all expectations. Nice new remodel and easy stay. Only downside is being right next to the highway, but thick glass kept it mostly quiet.

Location, Location, Location at a reasonable rate! The checking was easy, the room was comfortable. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast wasn't bad! The downtown is worth checking out for boutiques and restaurants. The Gunk's and Rail/Trail are minutes away. I'm not a fan of rugs in a hotel room though.

This place is in a good location. Across the street from many stores, including a big supermarket. Walk about 10 minutes to restaurants on Main Street. Front desk customer services are very friendly. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy. The coffee was very good. The only things want to highlight are the property is pretty old and it’s right next to the highway and the AC is loud. Our room was on the back, so it was not so bad. Otherwise, it’s good place to stay overnight for short term.

Easy access off of Interstate 87. The property was clean and well-maintained. Bed and room were very comfortable. Included a breakfast buffet. Limited choices but enough for a start to the morning. Staff were attentive and welcoming.

Nice, affordable, no frills. Great staff. Where they fall short is the included breakfast: a laughable assemblage of tiny, zero-sugar yogurts, unctuous fruit cocktails , and assorted carbs (pastries, waffles, toast). The coffee dispenser is an asthmatic automatic thing which is slow enough that a line forms. From the number of people who brought their own food, they clearly knew not to expect much. Luckily there is a grocery store a short walk away. Still, a good place as a base for exploring the area. It’s affordable and you are truly getting what you pay for.

This hotel is very affordable, and very comfortable, convenient and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were so helpful since we like to economize by buying food at the supermarket rather than eat in restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day. We had plenty of big fluffy towels. Breakfast is not as sumptuous as at some other pricier hotels, but it was perfectly adequate to fill up on--and we LOVED the coffee machine where you can customize your own espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.

Only stayed here one night but the staff was very nice. Room was very clean which is always the most important thing for me. The only slightly disappointing thing was the breakfast that didn't have any hot options. It did have different kinds of bread and waffles that you could toast, a nice variety of coffee and hot chocolate machine, nice variety of cold drinks, yogurts cereals and your other traditional breakfast things. But no hot options like eggs etc All in all would recommend this hotel Just know that the breakfast is not something you're going to write home about lol

Typical stop over hotel off the highway and very well priced for the area. Clean and comfortable except the highway side was loud. Breakfast was convenient but could add some more items… coffee machine was fantastic!! Cappuccino… lattes…. Espresso… and more!

Breakfast was just so so, the only hot item being toaster waffles. Not a fan of the one cup at a time coffee machine. Otherwise the stay was excellent at a reasonable price for the season. Clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Our overnight stay was a quick one. Check in was easy. Our room was very clean and tidy. Parking was free and there was plenty of it. The continental breakfast was standard - kept us energized for the day ahead. For the money spent, it was a great value.

Very nice motel, with complimentary breakfast and parking. Room and hotel overall were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is on the other end of New Paltz’s Main Street from the shops and restaurants but it’s a quick drive downtown and beyond to most of the hiking trails and the Mohonk/Minnewaska preserves.
