Got to the hotel at 11:00p.m. after a long day of driving. Because work was being done the following day there was limited parking.Five spots were supposed to be reserved for EV vehicles. Three of the five were taken by gas vehicles. I had very little battery on my car, and had to drive to the nearest charging station late at night to sit alone in a dark secluded area. If I had known there would be no spots, I would have charged my car during day-light hours elsewhere. I was told that normally cones were put in the charging spaces so that they would be reserved for EV cars. The desk had no way to contact the owners of the cars taking up these spots. There should be signs clearly marked "for EV vehicles ONLY" all others towed!

I stay at this hotel every time I go up to new Paltz for hiking adventures. It’s clean, my dog can stay with me, staff is always helpful and nice, restaurants and supermarket is literally across the street, breakfast included in the morning and it’s conveniently right outside the heart of New Paltz and an easy 15 minute ride to the nearest trails. Love this place!

We only stayed 1 night, but the room was clean, and tidy. We are usually very picky about hotels, will only stay at 4/5 star places, and are especially picky about cleanliness but Hampton Inn was great. Exceeded my expectations. Convenient location to downtown. Overall the hotel was updated, neat, clean, and welcoming. I would stay again. Thanks

I have to say that the hotel was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was terrific. The pool was a wonderful addition to a busy trip. And the staff was not only nice and helpful but also funny and easy to talk with. You don’t always find that so this hotel was just all around exceptional.

We have stayed here a few times over the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. We have also stayed at many hotels in the New Paltz area over the years and this is by far the cleanest, nicest and most updated. Their breakfast is also outstanding.

Great place to relax, clean and safe. Staff is friendly very nice breakfast (although HB eggs were cold) but that's ok. Only thing is they need to freshen up the carpeting as it smelled a bit funky at times.

The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was good. The reason it’s 3 stars is because the walls are paper thin. I stay at numerous hotels for work and kids sports tournaments. This was the most noise I’ve heard and it was week nights in November.

Very good hotel - but one MAJOR defect. You have outstanding mattresses on your bed - but perhaps the worst PILLOWS I have ever encountered. Why have excellent mattresses on your beds and the worst - light as air, flimsy, no substance, one's head falls to the bed within seconds - doesnt make sense !!!

The hotel is relatively new and in a very good area convenient to SUNY New Paltz. However, we had an issue. On our first night when taking a shower my wife noticed the water wasn’t draining in the shower and mentioned it to me. I then took a shower and noticed the draining issue however after a couple minutes the draining issue turned into more as what looked to be fecal matter started rising from the drain slot. I rinsed off as quickly as I could and went to the front desk to inform the person working. She was with a customer and asked what I needed. After telling her the details she said she would be up to check it after taking care of the customer. I went up to the room and waited. It was late at that point but stayed awake for her to arrive. An hour later I went down to the front desk again but the same customer was still there. I went back up to the room at what was now nearly midnight. She never came up. The next morning the shower was in the same situation. Brown-tinged water would rise out of the drain. On our way out I said something to the person working the front desk and she said it was noted for housekeeping to check and that she would also reiterate it to housekeeping. When we returned, I could see that the shower had no been touched as the stains were still there and debris that had washed up was still in the shower floor. I then went back down to the front desk and told the person working who was the original person told. I told her again that we were taking

We stay here annually around the same time for a reason here when we search to cut down our Christmas tree. For a change, we thought we might rent a house nearby but all of our kids refused because they love it here. From front desk to housekeeping, everyone is super friendly and helpful. Very happy. Everything was perfect, from easy check in to check out. Great location. Perfect after a ten mile hike at Mohunk, blocks from a dozen eateries and easy walk to heart of New Paltz's eclectic shops and more restaurants. The room was clean, staff was friendly, the sheets were pulling off the corner of the bed and so tight I couldn't keep them on. the water pressure was absolutely horrible the shower had so little pressure you couldn't change the settings on the shower head, and it was a very mild stream. I went to breakfast just before 7am and the dark roast coffee was empty they had no milk or half and half only artificial creamer. The scrambled eggs were cold swimming in water while the top was crunchy. the potatoes were under cooked and cold. the orange juice was like water with a drop of juice and so clear with a mild tint of orange, the cranberry juice was not much better, clear with a mild juice flavor. the first yogurt I picked up was already opened. the apples were all bruised or damaged to the point they had big nicks and brown spots. I've stayed in many Hiltons this year around 120 nights and this was by far the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had.
