We enjoyed the outdoor patio very much. We also rate highly their excelent staff. But, it was isolated from the center of Palo Alto and the University. There are no places of interest within walking distance.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed how the first floor had comfortable areas to work with access to snacks and drinks. Every morning there was a great breakfast with coffee and a variety of hot tea. The staff was friendly.

I had an amazing stay at here. I have stayed at other properties so I am accustom to the room set up. Yes, it is compact but extremely efficient. The technology makes up for the room size - all the controls (lights, window shades and tv) on the iPad. In reality, this is great for a business hotel. I don't know about you but I don't really stay in my hotel room to work anyways. There are lots of public nooks and spaces to work and socialize. The bar was amazing, even if you aren't consuming an adult beverage. They have filtered and sparking water on tap to freely refill my water bottle. They will even give you a water bottle to bring back up to your room. I was really lucky to book during a holiday week. Per the staff, it is a great time because you will have run of the house (and the room rates are amazing). I would come back for a end of week retreat.

The IPad are useful. The concept of the kitchen and the living rooms with functional bedrooms makes CitizenM more like living in our homes. Definitely not like a hotel stay. I will be staying at CitizenM San Francisco in couple weeks. Each CitizenM runs different, but what I like is the interior design. Lots of color! It is uplifting to live with color.

The CitizenM in Menlo Park was great! We stayed one night on New Year’s Eve so we wouldn’t have to drive home after a party. The staff were very nice and friendly. They said it was their slow time of year and usually they host a lot of Meta employees especially in the late summer and fall. We would definitely recommend this hotel. It was extremely clean, had comfortable firm bed, but note the rooms are small. That didn’t bother us, just something to note since it is a hotel usually for single business travelers.

Fun and interesting view of what might be the future of city living! I was completely surprised at the room size but after 10 minutes that didn’t matter. We had enough room for all we needed.the decor is fresh and minimal. The staff are all outgoing, friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

We booked this hotel through Expedia early in the evening but when we arrived at the hotel around 11 pm from a long drive from LA we were told all of their rooms were sold out. There were at least 10 other people in the lobby who had the same problems. Why would anyone not communicate with the customers or Expedia about the rooms being sold out? That would be the question for management. It took us almost an hour and a half to find another hotel in Concord because all the hotels in the area were sold out or had raised their rate to $400 or more. Took another hour and a half to get to Concord and settled for the night. This seems like a nice hotel and it could have been a great experience but this is terrible and made me not want to come back to this area again. Be aware that if you’re going to book this hotel make sure they have an actual room for you because you will be left stranded in the middle of the night. There will be no communication from the hotel period.

I charged my card when i booked online so i can just check in when i get to the hotel. I went to a wedding near sacrament and drove all the way to Menlo Park to the hotel late night to check in. when my wife and i arrived we were told that they had no more rooms available even though i already had been charged and had a confirmation number. There were no more rooms at any of the hotels near by and my wife and i had to sleep in our van for the night. I waited a day or two for my refund and wasn’t given the same amount back but less than what i spent for a night to sleep in my own van with my wife.

Room size was a bit small, got that dorm/capsule vibe. There's a constant rotting smell coming from the marsh area across the street...so unless you want to ride a borrowed bike along the marsh for fun, I would suggest to stay indoors.

Everything was great, but this was my first time trying citizenM breakfast and, and tbh I don’t think it’s worth it. They offer a decent amount of fruits / pastries / yogurts in addition to the main breakfast items (mostly breakfast sandwiches), but I thought the main breakfast items themselves were not that good. I don’t think the $22 / day price is justified unless you have kids maybe AND you know for certain you’ll use the breakfast every day of the stay. Also I wish the breakfast was selectable per-day instead of across the entire stay. That’s why the amenities category is slightly below all the others. Staff, cleanliness, area were all amazing.

Love the futuristic rooms with fancy ambient lighting and relaxing mode. They have super blackout curtains so it makes it easy to sleep in peace. The only downside I have is that the hotel lacked vegan options for paid breakfast. The only thing I could have was tea and bread.
