Best Western New Baltimore Inn

We were asked at checkin if we were going to use the pool. We were not advised that it wasn't heated. This was a major disappointment

The back door was accessible without a room key the first time we tried entering that way. Key was needed the second time. This inconsistency was troublesome for safety reasons. The first room we were assigned on the first floor had a very unplasant odor - could have been a smoking or pet room. Desk agent immediately reassigned us to a second floor room much better cleanliness wise but now we had to lug our bags up to the second floor.

The hotel is being renovated. However, it is still an awesome place. The staff was beyond friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and spacious (we had a king suite). The pool area was clean. The best part of the trip was the free breakfast in the morning. I have never had such an amazing breakfast. They must of had 30 food options and 10 drink options. I would go back again just for that breakfast!

They park their transport van directly in front of the hotel so you have to drive all the way around the back of the property and then drive backwards in a one-way lane to get to the main lobby entrance.

Room and bed comfy. Dirty pool and stairs leading to 2nd floor rooms was dirty.

The staff was very helpful but the hotel was run down and in need of updating. There was constant noise from the room above. Someone overloaded the washing mad machine creating a fire that set off the smoke alarm. No damage but very unpleasant experience to have the fire department arrive. I checked out early and would never return to the area

Some rooms had towels under their doors. Seemed odd

Friendly staff. One of the doors to the outside did not self latch. My tile floor and carpet were filthy. Otherwise the room was nice. Not a fan of powdered eggs. Otherwise, the breakfast was decent.

When I checked in my room, there was still garbage in the can from the previous renter. There were a lot of cigarette butts inside the hallway to the side door. The breakfast buffet was nice. The menus in the courtesy book are outdated and prices are wrong.

I stayed in the King suite which was big and very spacious. Breakfast was great. We yook advantage of the pool...the water was nice and warm. My daughter loved the hotel. Would stay there again for sure.

Dirty. Socks were black walking around in the hotel. Wouldn’t stay again

The positive was a well informed lovely woman at the front desk who was great. Negative was the dust on furniture; broken iron; a tub with the drain top left on the side of the tub; a toilet you had to manually stop or it would run all night.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet, even though it is right next to a highway. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good.

Dust behind all furniture, mold/mildew in inside of shower curtain, all electrical outlets were old and not right fitting, breakfast was good. Staff were friendly.

This place was super dirty the sheets were dirty the bathroom shower and hand sink was disgusting dirty. The whole experience was horrible.

Our room was dirty. There’s still candy wrapper and empty soda bottle in between the bed and side table. The foot of the lamp is so dusty, like thick dust! The breakfast was good though.

Booked a pet friendly room as a very last minute thing. This was the last room they had available due to a wedding. Got to hotel and checked in late and crashed next morning when I opened the blinks I saw all the filth. Stains on the carpet, pee stains on the wall. Black rings in the toilet. When I went to shower there was a used hand towel in the shower. Upon checking out I discussed my concerns / issues with front desk attendant. She “ Rebecca” was very sympathetic and professional. They gave me a full refund. Even though that room was not the best her customer service was. I believe I got an un cleaned room that is not often used.

The toilet didn’t work well, the air conditioning cut out middle of the night and the cleanliness of the entire building was bad but there were bottle caps and other garbage located around the beds in my room from previous occupants.

It was filthy with work being done throughout. My husband and I were could not stop b sneezing with eyes burning. The staff understood and made arrangements for us to move to another hotel.

There were dirty brown tissues at the base of the bed and the bed spread was badly stained with body fluids. So gross. I had to bring my own blankets. Should have left and went somewhere else but was too exhausted from traveling all day.

Under construction, new stuff looks good. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom small and the water pressure was horrible

The room itself was great. Clean, new, really comfortable mattress and quiet. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations. The hallways were fully of laundry carts, mop buckets with dirty water in them, and the hallway carpet was a hot mess. Once the construction is done, it will probably be better.

While the staff and room was fine, the hot water in the shower was lacking. By that i mean there was none.

The fridge made a weird water swooshing sound all night and the hallway noise was a little loud at times. Other than that my stay was short, the bed was comfy, everything looked clean.

Clean property and room. Friendly staff. Walls and doors don't keep out much of the surrounding sounds. Like many hotel pillows, they are not the most comfortable. The bed was very comfortable.

This hotel has seen better days and is in desperate need of updating and maintenance. The a/c unit must have been blowing mold spores into the air because I filled up with congestion and coughed for half the night. We finally showered and left at about 4am just so I could breathe again.

We stayed for one night, and this was conveniently located off the interstate. The person at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Check in was very easy. Our room was on the second floor and a staff person helped carry our luggage up the stairs. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, heat worked great, the bathroom was clean and the shower worked with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included. The breakfast area was very clean, coffee was hot, and they had the usual breakfast food you find at hotels. A lot of places and restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday, so not a lot of options available. We ate at Paul's Pizza & Pasta. Very casual, but the food was very good. Our stay here was nice, no issues or complaints. I would recommend staying here.

Expedia itself has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Hotel itself is a little below average for $200/night but is decent enough. Staff are really no help at all if you need anything. Would stay again if it was the only available spot nearby.

Good breakfast some staff not so friendly but must was.

Service was exceptional but otherwise it was an adequate, normal hotel.

Rooms were clean and staff was professional. Overall the facility appears dated and could use some renovation. bathtub drain seems to be in need of some cleaning. As soon as we opened the room, we were greeted by some utility tools and screwdrivers that were left on sink by someone. Apart from that the stay was satisfactory for the price paid. Location is about 45minutes drive away from any of major local attractions so that's something you need to keep in mind while planning a stay. recommend staying with family and pets.

Convenient location

Convenient stop from Massachusetts to upstate NY. Easy thruway access. Breakfast better than most hotels.

It is reasonably priced and closer to the hiking trails. We loved the trails we were able to go to and had a good time.

I went with my family , we loved the stay. The breakfast was good. The pool was warm too and my kids loved it. It is about 40 minutes from the catskills, we booked it here since everything in Catskills was booked, but it was worth the 40 minute drive, we felt it was good choice.

The hotel that was in the middle of nowhere, outdated, and a place to stay if you're in the area for a quick overnight and just need to rest your head. The beds weren’t very comfortable but not the worst hotel beds I've ever slept in. We chose Best Western over the Holiday Inn Express because of the many reviews that highlighted the "comfortable" beds. My friend and I would have to disagree. VERY noisy and a little smelly BUT the staff were GREAT and very accommodating. Food was what you would expect from a Best Wester (I assume-first time staying at a BW and am someone who travels OFTEN-like I said only chose that place because the location was close to our retreat center -Dharma Center (Claverack, NY-a quick 30 minutes away) and the reviews highlighted the "comfortable beds"). We stayed for 2 nights (3 days) and there was loud music every night and kids running up and down the hallways ALL night. A BIG plus was that Paul's Pizza delivered and they have some EXCELLENT NY style pizza! They are open until 10pm on weekends BTW. All of the ("hot") breakfast food was microwaved (eggs, potatoes hash browns, and bacon) so it was not at all appealing BUT the staff who replenished and maintained cleanliness of the food area was VERY clean and friendly. Would I recommend the establishment?...NOPE, not particularly...but would I tell you NOT to stay at the BW?....NOPE-stay at your own risk.... Consider it a gamble, with the odds not necessarily in your favor. Kudos to the staff!

Property was good, the buffet breakfast leaves a lot to be desired though.

Nice property to stay at, breakfast included, watery eggs, and what looked like three day, old sausage, and a bunch of brown bananas, we’ve had better. While the bed was comfortable, they put a queen size sheet on a king size bed, and expected it to work, it did not. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay.

The staff was very welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best ones I’ve ever had at a hotel. They have a person who works everyday from 5-10AM to keep the food fresh & hot. The room was cleans& the products for showering were high quality.

This was overall a good stay. The best parts were the very friendly staff and the excellent breakfast spread. The room was fine, very comfortable and clean except for some old grime and cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom. Really the only complaint is that the exit doors at the end of the hallway shut VERY loudly, and we kept waking up due to people coming in and out at night and early in the morning.
