SpringHill Suites Columbus Airport Gahanna

Property and room was in good condition. Booked this for my father in law and the hotel was very accommodating with picking him up from the airport and his late check in.

Transportation to and from the airport was appreciated - friendly drivers! The front desk greeter was most welcoming! The suite was a little tight for 4 people but clean and quiet. We requested a pack and play and it was already in the room when we arrived! Breakfast selection included waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, oatmeal, yogurt - a great variety for our family. Very comfortable stay.

I was able to fly to Eugene, Oregon and keep my car at the hotel for much cheaper than airport parking. Will definitely be my only choice when flying out of Columbus!

Was very unhappy. There was no pool there. It advertised a pool and was very disappointing.

Suite is out of balance in temperature due to HVAC blocked by bed. I had to check the windows twice to make sure they were shut as you can hear highway and airport traffic clearly. Stayed at another hotel just as close and it was quiet. People arguing for 45 minutes in parking lot in the middle of the night, had to call the desk to quiet them. Shuttle service is a major disappointment and this was the main reason we chose this hotel. Was told that shuttle does not start until 7 a.m. and we needed to be at the airport by 6:30 so we had to keep our rental car an extra day. Both times I went to front desk they did not acknowledge my presence until they finished what they were doing. Toilet seat was very loose, towel bar fell off when I went to hang a towel. Shower valve is on the wrong end of shower so you have to reach all the way to the back to turn the water on and hope you don't turn it too high like I did and had to reach into scalding water to adjust.

Stayed here before an early flight out of airport. Easy Check in - Shuttle was waiting for me at 6am as I requested. I would stay here again if in the neighborhood.

My room smelled bad. Like wet dog and mildew. The carpet had black stains on it. There was dried mud on the sofa. A huge stain in the center of the ottoman, food under the drain strainer in the sink and dirt on the chrome at the bottom of the shower. After complaining, I was moved to another room and it was clean, although the carpet was also stained. The entire carpet in the hotel looked like it was old and needed replacing. The breakfast was powdered eggs and paper thin bacon with no taste. On top of all of that the parking is limited and the lot does fill up quickly. Additional parking is in the back where it’s poorly lit, behind the hotel. Really expensive rates for a mediocre hotel. However, the desk staff is great. Very professional and friendly.

Loved 24 hour shuttle to and from airport. Parked my vehicle there for a small fee while we were gone. Great staff.

I have a handicap parking placard. I know there needs to be certain percentage of handicap parking spots of the entire parking space. I noticed that the handicap spots were always full. Not sure you can do, other than increasing the total number of parking spots.

Another disappointing stay at Springhill Suites. Even though the last time I stayed at a Springhill Suites I had multiple issues, I went ahead and gave them another try. This property was worse. My toilet would not flush or fill. There was pubic hair in my shower, and there was dirt, debris, and hair on the floors. Gross! All I get from the management is "sorry about that"

This hotel has a pungent smell and it’s everywhere throughout! An older building that appears not be not well kept.

No working internet, even when you pay upcharge for it. The TVs (we had 2 in our room) froze regardless of what channel we turned to using the basic cable. Carpets are dirty. Staff was mostly friendly. Breakfast was basic muffins.

We took this trip with our 1 year old. Between crawling and walking in the room his feet, and hands were almost black from the carpet. No visible stains, but they could use a good shampooing for sure. We ended up washing his hands and feet often to keep up.

Tub had hair and didn’t look clean, bathroom sink was clogged! Beds were comfortable, nice to have free airport shuttle

Nice hotel. The room could have been cleaner, there was hair behind the toilet and debris under the headboard of both beds. The room is nice and big with the couch, fridge and office space. Would recommend and stay again. Night staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Noisy!!! The even numbered side is soooo noisy. I'll ask for the opposite side next time.

Great hotel, spacious rooms and friendly staff.

The drain was very slow so my shower only lasted as long as it could before the shower flooded. The bathroom light was very delayed. Some of the outlets didn't work. Towels were not the best quality. These are all very minor things and didn't bother me, but just wanted to let you know about them for future guests!

The room was very comfortable. I liked the layout of the space. Unfortunately, the shower head didn’t work properly. I did have trouble sleeping in the morning due to street traffic and also airplanes flying overhead.

Once again, SHSM's bathrooms just don't make sense. To me. To the left is toilet and shower with a door. Directly across, outside the door, is the sink with mirror. What we need is a normal setup, sink, counter, faucet, fan, toilet, and shower IN ONE ROOM. Nope. So i step out of the shower, having opened my facial pores in order to quickly get to the sink and apply shaving cream. But i cant with guests, and now have to get dressed. If guests want to sleep longer the noise and light of a sink OUTSIDE of the bathroom will awaken them.

Spacious rooms with desk, sleeper sofa and separate bathroom and makeup area. Very nice room, linens, decor. Could use a few AC outlets on the bedside tables.

Clean but average room and hotel overall. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers in the bathroom were in a bad place. The room had 2 TV's and 2 remotes; however both remotes only worked with the same TV , so there was no remote for one of the TV's.

Super nice large clean room with kitchenette, desk sitting area and loved the king bed. Closet to everything including airport.

The entire staff was amazing. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and had many options. The free shuttle was a wonderful surprise.

Upon entrance, the employee just sat there did not even greet me. I said hello good evening. I have a reservation and at that point, she asked me for my name. She did not smile. She wasn’t warm and friendly. She was just nonchalant. The room was comfortable Yet there was a few issues. For one the shower curtain is up so high it barely touches the tub so when you have the shower on and you’re using the Handle the water gets all over the floor. Also, they have a large kitchen area but not a table. Why all the space without a table that was quite strange. Upon leaving the same employee was there and she did not say have a good day. Thank you for staying with us. Nothing. Just not friendly.

The lady at the front desk was hands down the nicest, most polite I’ve ever encountered during a stay anywhere. GIVE HER A RAISE!!!

We had a reservation booked through expedia. I got an email from springhill that it was time to check in. When I attempted to check in, I received a error message that they could not find the reservation. I called the morning of check in, to the hotel front desk and was assured that they had 2 rooms for us. At 9:30 pm I arrived with my 1 year granddaughter and family and was told that expedia made a mistake and their were no room. However, I received emails from Marriott and I talk to a springhill staff member, so I know that Springhill did have our reservation and did not honor it. This left us in a terrible bind. I am very dissapointed

This hotel is definitely dated, but the staff makes up for it in their service. I don’t think I ever saw a staff member without a smile on their face. They did a really great job. The breakfast is fairly good. Nothing to write home about, but it was satisfactory. The room was good.

This hotel is just 'ok.' I stayed here because I was flying in late and there was a complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Upon checkin at 10:45pm, I went to my room and the toilet was running. I didn't want to deal with waiting for Maintenance to come help - so I immediately asked for another room. I was given a different room - but it was quite dirty. There was a crushed cracker on the ground, a dried pineapple on the ground, dried liquid on the bedside table, a dead bug in the bathroom sink, purple something all over 1 of the walls. The electronic shade didn't work - so it was like not having a window, at all. The heat didn't work and the outlets weren't strong. Although I made sure all of my electronics were charging before I went to bed - nothing charged all night. I was pretty frustrated. I asked for a different room on my 2nd and last night there and they gave me a much better room. I was disappointed in the service and the lack of care for my terrible experience on night 1. I expected to have a discount taken off my final invoice or a complimentary night for the dirty room on night 1 - but I didn't get anything. The price was right for this location - but don't expect a nice Marriott experience. It was not a very clean hotel. I was pretty disappointed and I don't plan on staying there again.

There was no one at the front desk when we arrived so we waited 20 min to check in which is fine but then we got to the room there was one wash cloth for 3 ppl there was someone's drink in the fridge the table plug in by the bed didn't work right and this isn't the first time ive stayed here i was here last year and didn't have an issue

The staff here are very friendly and helpful! This seems to be an older property, but it was clean and well maintained. The rooms are very quiet. If I hadn’t been told the hotel was full, I would never had known. Breakfast had lots of great choices and my dinner at nearby Hickory House was amazing!

Convenient to downtown

We've stayed there three times. Will stay there again, the location is very convenient when we visit Ohio.

great hotel for what we needed and close to airport..

Location was good room was very nice. Having separate sitting room is always awesome. Every thing is provided and I must note having coffee always available in lobby was a plus. The Mgr was truly concerned about our needs and the check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Only recommendation is change room windows to a more sound barrier option every noise on road side could be heard.

For the most part, it was a nice stay. This was our second year in a row saying at this property. This time around, the breakfast selections and the cleanliness of the breakfast area where not what they were a year ago. We hope that that was just a "blip" in service and that it will get back to where it was previously. We would probably stay here again because of the comfort of the rooms, but might try anoter hotel next year during the annual Jazz and Rib Festival in Columbus!

This was a very busy hotel, likely because it is so near the airport and has an airport shuttle available. The room was spacious (2 beds and a separate area for the couch with a nook for the counter/sink and desk). This worked well for us travelling with 5 (lots of luggage). The one downside here is that the breakfast area is so small for the amount of people using it. The seating is fine, but the actual breakfast service area is basically one long counter and very crowded. The staff couldn't keep up with providing enough food both mornings we were there.

Staff was really wonderful however when we got to our room the bedroom area didn’t have any power. It was midnight when we checked in so I was a bit frustrated to have to go back down to the front desk but they did get us into a new room rather quickly. Breakfast in the morning was disappointing because it was so busy and there wasn’t any food available.

The staff are always excellent, the breakfast bar food and staff are excellent, The hotel is clean and room was clean.. THe King bed was ok seemed a little stiff and maybe old. OVerall Excellent.. Thank you..
