Put-in-Bay Resort & Conference Center

We paid extra for a balcony and pool view, however, there were no chairs on the balcony and there were signs blocking our view from the balcony. Very disappointed. The bathroom was quite small and the lighting in the room was poor. The parking also was an issue. Not enough spots to accommodate all the guests. Very frustrating.

Wild atmosphere with a lot of younger kids We couldn’t use the pool because it was packed with “day pass” younger (21 year old) people You can’t hang out at the pool with any beverages or food that are not bought at the pool bar

Received an email suggesting we reserve a golf cart with the hotel prior to our arrival. I called and they said they might have something when we get there but couldn't reserve anything. We arrived and no golf carts were available. We were told to check again at 8 am and they should have something again they wouldn't let us reserve or pay in advance because they arent 100 percent sure. Went back at 8 am and had nothing they said check again at 11. We went else where on the island and were able to rent a gold cart with no problem. The pool says Hotel guests only! We were not able to enjoy the pool until 2 hours prior to closing on our last night do to it being packed with people. They were letting non hotel guest in all day long. All the chairs were reserved with people's belongings but no one was actually using them. Worst stay in Put in Bay ever! Will definitely be looking for a hotel next time that has room for their actual hotel guests in the pool and bar areas instead of this one who seems to cater to non hotel guest buying alcohol all day.

This is a party hotel so keep that in mind when you book. The pool is open to anyone that comes by and on the weekend, standing room only. The rooms are fine but definitely have seen a lot of use. The elevator quit a few times when we were there.

Was not happy about very little parking for vehicles. Golf carts should have separate parking. Also wasnt happy about wearing a wrist band the entire trip. We had no intentions of using the pool, wasnt sure the reason behind the wrist band. I can see adding it later if we wanted to enter the pool area. Our room smelled of mildew and left the window open during the day to help air it out. It was ok for what was intened for however I will not rebook again.

The employees were very helpful and nice! From the front desk to the bar staff they were helpful and kind. The pool area is a great atmosphere if like parties. We had a great time and the DJ kept it going! My only complaint is the “heated” pool listed was ice cold. Then everyone was in the hot tub because the pool was sooo cold. Other than that great time.

This is the 3rd time ive stayed at this hotel, and it definitely wont be the last. Its the perfect location to everything and the pool on the weekends is so much fun! Pool is 21 and over so dont plan to take kids there. But for adults, i would recommend all day!

Great location walkable to almost anywhere. The villas need updating badly. Rugs filthy cushions outside so stained tile floor old needs work.pool area kept nice and clean.

Firstly the wifi wasn't working at the resort during our stay but there was network and wifi at all other locations on the island, but was working at all other locations. The reservation said that breakfast was included, however, after we got there, we learned that there was no breakfast available on the weekend(s). We got a room with a jaccuzi, however, there were no directions in the room on how to turn the jaccuzi on and yes it wasn'r just as easy as to turn the button on in the tub. We had to call the staff to get their help in turning it on. Not to say we did find hair that wasn't ours in the tub. Also there was no microwave in the room. We enjoyed the weekend at the property and on the island.

Put in bay is a great time. This hotel is clean, friendly staff and I’m walking distance to the main strip. Pool party is awesome .

Lobby is the only clean place in the entire facility. Our rooms were dirty, pool was dirty.

Our room was musty smoky smell. It was clean and we liked the courtyard which was away from the pool and bar. If you are looking to party this is the pool for you.

The property was in a good location. The staff was friendly, for the exception of a pool security guy checking armbands at the gate. He is obviously tired of tourists. When we checked in, it was late afternoon and we dropped off our bags and left to meet friends. I was skeptical of the room the first night we went to bed as there were cobwebs in the ceiling corners. The next morning I showered then flipped on the alcove light over the sink. It was DISGUSTING. I’ve never seen so many cobwebs in a hotel! The ENTIRE ceiling-area was one, complete cobweb that reached almost to the front wall. It had spiders and things dangling from it throughout. It had been there a WHILE. When I looked into the rest of the room, there were small cobwebs all over the ceiling… and cobwebs connected the entire curtain to the wall. I’ve never seen anything like it. I took a video, but I don’t know if I can post it here.

We liked it was close to attractions. The property in general needed cleaned/painted. Dead bugs on window ledge. Dining room had water stains on ceiling along with our room.

Clean room, but shower was moldy.

The bedding was dirty. I found hairs, and it just wasn't clean. Additionally, it's an excellent spot for people in their 20s and 30s.

We checked in and unpacked, several hours later we used the shower and realized there was clearly visible long hairs in the shower, urine splatters on the inner rim of the toilet, (before we used it), and we were disappointed to not have a microwave. Thanks to the front desk lady that came and cleaned because we didnt care to switch rooms. For the price we paid, we expected a clean room/bathroom. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and use of our private jacuzzi, which thankfully, was clean.

Stayed here on our engagement weekend and it couldn't have been better! Clean, quiet, and comfortable!

There was musty smell all the time in the room. The towels were old my husband killed about 3 or more spiders, there are holes in the bottom of the door both right side and the left side. There were spiderwebs all over the room.

Like much of Put In Bay, it is packed and loud on Fridays and Saturdays. Didn't even use the pool or hot tub because they were full of loud partiers. It is an easy walk from the docks to get there and the room is nice enough, though not super modern. Check-in was slow just because of the line. Close to bars/restaurants and they had decent golf cart rental prices. I would stay here again but for me would try a weekday stay.

To start with there was no microwave or coffee pot. Ice machine near room was not working. Shower curtain needed to be bleached or thrown away. Furniture was dusty and floors needed to be cleaned. Front desk check -in was not very helpful or friendly.

Mixed Experience: Great Location, Poor Accommodations The location was excellent, room included a generously sized fridge and staff were generally pleasant. However, the accommodations were beyond disappointing. Swimming Pool - At the time of booking, it was not disclosed that the on-site pool is restricted 21+ on Fri - Sun so our kids did not have access to the pool our entire stay. Room Quality - The room smelled musty and damp. The carpet was sticky, and bedding had visible stains (which the front desk replaced upon request). FYI - no phone in the room. Bath towels were thin and scratchy. The mattress cover was flimsy and tattered. Corners were shredded and constantly bunched. Pillows were flat and unsupportive. Rolled-up pool towels would have been an upgrade. Not comfortable at all. Amenities - The bathroom counter had barely two inches of usable space on either side of the sink, making it difficult to place toiletries. Our room also lacked a full-length mirror and limited hanging space (no closet) which was inconvenient. Cleanliness - We found multiple hairs not ours behind the bathroom door and between the sheets. Reflects poor housekeeping and quality control. Be mindful at night because the bugs will get in the room. For us, the sink area is the first thing you see and in the morning, there was a swarm of bugs around the light above the sink. Overall, would not recommend for the price.

It's such a basic room, nothing in there was updated, there was no microwave. There's no light in the elevator which I thought was weird. I paid extra for the balcony but I didn't realize it was just the second floor. So you're pretty much paying for the area and then the pool, which the pool is nice. But I don't think it was worth almost $300 on a Tuesday.

I’ve stated this hotel at least 10 times because I love the fact that it’s near a pool and a hot tub and they serve a continental breakfast during the week. Plus the employees are very friendly. The cons are they don’t serve breakfast on the weekends and that’s not indicated on the website, and the pillows were. HORRIBLE, every time I go I always forget to bring my pillow, and I always regret it instantly. Lol

I paid more than $200 per night, and this stay was absolutely not worth it. The hotel website claimed to offer breakfast and a pool, but neither was available. I even paid extra for a “view,” but all we could see from our window were the rooftops of nearby houses. When we arrived, the bed even had two mosquitoes lying right on the pillow — completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. The hallways were full of spider webs and more mosquitoes, and the employees were not friendly or helpful. Overall, the place was poorly maintained and far below expectations. I would never stay here again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I had to switch rooms 3 times very inconvenient. First time the refrigerator was not working, second time room was very smelly, finally was transfered to a room that was okay. Talked to the manager claimed they weren't able to smell anything, that was the next day. However, the service representative agreed with us. Not happy about the outcome regarding compensation.

So everything looked Ok but one TV isn’t working at all, and we are next to a maintenance room that had a hight pitched whistle sound coming from there. They said maintenance would go check it out and the second night there it was again. The staff and people working here are excellent, but for the price I’d try somewhere else next time.

Did not honor my expedia price. Now I am filing a complaint with my credit card.

Loved the location of the resort. It was within walking distance of downtown Put-in-Bay. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival, three young employees were at the front desk. I was not greeted in any way, and had to ask if anyone was actually working. One answered with a sarcastic, "no." And then one of them finally checked us in. Fast forward to our first night in the hotel. The room above flooded and water poured into our room at 3am. I promptly ran downstairs to alert the front desk. After 10 minutes of no one responding I went back down again only to be yelled at for demanding someone do something. I was then told I would be kicked out of the hotel if I didn't calm down. After the so called manager came to the room and told us she would not do anything and threatened to kick us out of the hotel. I will never ever stay or recommend any adult staying at this hotel. The lack of care or professionalism is something I've never experienced at a hotel. Additionally, it's was full of obnoxious, loud, and intoxicated guests and the staff did nothing to police the situation. Nothing was offered to compensate us for being up half the night. Steer clear of this cesspool of incompetent and unprofessional employees.

The staff was not friendly at all. They made an error in booking and put us in a room that could only accommodate 4 when we had 6 listed during booking. The managers response was “the best we can do is charge you $200 in CASH” to accommodate the remaining occupants. They had no other rooms available.

The staff was wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was also great - central to everything we wanted to do :)

We had a wonderful two days here. The check in was easy. The pool was great. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Caroline for not only doing her job well but was a smiling face and positive attitude towards all.

When I arrived they told me I wouldn't be able to have my room cleaned. I would have to come to the lobby and get my towels. I was there 3 days. I called to confirm my total price and when I got there I had to pay extra fees. I specifically asked if there was other fees. It was so loud at night. Fireworks shot off at 3:00 in the morning. (It was June) Front desk was more interested in eating pizza than to help me. A/C didn't work correclty. Will never stay there again.

I made reservations in March for our stay in August. I called the hotel 3 different times about questions staying at the resort. I asked about service dogs. But when I got there, the manager was very rude about us having a service dog. It is against the law to ask questions about service dogs except for 1. dog for a disability 2. what service is dog trained to do. She did not let us stay there., We had to go to Bay Lodging Resort which the service was absolutely wonderful - thank you!

Excellent time on Put In Bay. This hotel was nice - no frills but the rooms are sound proof which helps with all the fun people are having at the pool and on the streets.

Breakfast was not at par for the price of room. Coffee was like water. Plates were small and styrofoam. Silverware plastic. It looked very cheap. No server in the breakfast room. No water

The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from Delaware Street (the main street with most of the shops/restaurants), so it was a convenient location in which to stay. We really enjoyed the hotel pool and Blue Marlin pool bar. Even though it was colder the day we visited, we enjoyed getting a drink and sitting out in the pool loungers, listening to the music, and hanging out! Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than expected as it included toaster items (bread, waffles, bagels, etc.), muffins and danishes, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, and coffee. Would recommend this hotel and will plan to stay here again on our next trip to PIB!

Sheets were dirty and had stains. They don’t have room service. They don’t have breakfast during the weekend. This was misleading as not clarified on Expedia.

Overpriced. No breakfast on weekends. My jacuzzi didn’t work. They sell pool admission so pool so packed it’s standing room only. They shut down road to deter ppl they didn’t want there leaving us unable to get back to hotel easily. Zero frills. Wanted 10 dollars for bottle of smart water in a 380 a night room. The room was equivalent to a motel 6 not a 385 a night place.

The only problem we could see is we were confused about breakfast. There is no breakfast Saturday and Sunday. One other problem was the price I agreed on was not the price the hotel charged me at check in.

Very clean! Great pool and pool bar/grill. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Hotel staff very friendly. Definitely would stay there again!

The location was great , the timing of the year late October and it is the end of the season for the island. However for a $200+ a night for the room, I should have been notified that there would be no breakfast which is included in stay, no coffee makers in the room- The cleanliness of the room was not good , there was a water bottle cap mixed in the blankts on the bed. Comfort - the towles were rough snd small the beds are firm. The staff was friendly and it was a quick check in.
