Hilton Garden Inn Kennett Square

I travel to relax and this place had the best hot tub I've ever been. The rooms were clean, shopping and food was very nearby. I would definitely stay at this place again.

The elevator was broken and I have problems to walk and I need to stay on 3floooor

The hotel was a little disappointing for a Hilton. The parking lot was marked off with alot of cones so you could not park close. The tv reception was not great and would often come in and out. The pool/hot tub area was out of service. On a good note there were plenty of towels in the room and I like the soap/shampoo dispensers. I would not stay here again- I would look for a different hotel in the area.

Pool and sauna both closed. Fitness area terrible but they at least offered use of local gym. Cleaning service not available on Sunday.

The property needs a lot of maintenance- the showers, elevators sand even the gym needed work for the week we stayed there

No WIFI, Water main broke in the building. Lobby was a mess due to the water main in the building broke, that flooded out ground floor and control room. Could not get receipt for stay.

This is a good hotel, beginning to show signs of wear. The staff was nice, but sometimes the front desk was unattended. But it was Christmas, so understood. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. We were told we could do the buffet or made-to-order. We chose the made-to-order. My husband's order was OK, but I think I got something out of a steam table and it was not very good (scrambled eggs and potatoes both looked warmed up or steamed, not made fresh). The location was good, so there is always a chance we could stay here again. The jacuzzi was nice.

I was sad I forgot my swim suit. They have a nice little indoor pool. It's nice because they have a small bar, and snack area with sundries available. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well. I would have hoped that, for the price of the room, that the breakfast was included in the price of the stay, but it's an additional charge.

Hotel is under construction, which is fine but don't expect to sleep past 6:25 when it starts. The lobby smelled like cigarettes, the gym was closed, and shower in room WAS DISGUSTING

Elevator didn’t work only bad thing

Carpets in elevator stained, debris in room,mentioned it to front desk when I checked out One of the dresser drawers did not stay closed, mold in shower

This is a good value in a hotel. Its modern, clean, and the staff is excellent.

Renovated and clean!

The staff were efficient, thoughtful, friendly. The property is well cared for and very clean. Everything I expect in a well run hotel.

In short, I would not recommend that hotel. If you are interested in details, we booked 2 rooms-for me and my elderly relative with a limiting mobility, I asked for 2 adjoining rooms for convenience. When we arrived after tiring 4-hour drive we were offered 2 rooms next to each other but not connecting rooms. The front desk person told us they do not have connecting rooms contrary to info at their site. Then he notified us that the elevators do not work at the hotel, and we need to walk to the rooms to the 2d floor. It was fairy long distance for my relative so I asked for rooms on 1st floor, was told they have only one, so we stayed on different floors which was very inconvenient for us, I asked to find me a room close by may be on the next day, but never was offered one. I asked why the info about non-working elevators was not provided in advance, the clerk said it is present on their site, not at Expedia site. I checked later, could not find it on their site. So, when I unpacked my staff and was ready to go to bed at that night, after I untucked my bed I was really shocked to see that the sheets were not changed after previous guest, there was some hairs, pieces of lint, and even a small sharp plastic piece. Btw, the manager has never responded to my e-mail with complaint and to my message on her answering machine. I had to move to another room after midnight with all my belongings, they do not have a housekeeper at night to change linen. Overall-very disappointing!

Absolutely horrible hotel. Checked in at 9:30 pm. Outside was a bunch of teenagers being extremely loud. Check in staff was friendly. On the way to the room on the second floor were more teenagers running through the halls yelling. There was trash in the halls and trash cans overflowing. Once entering the room it had a stale smell. The bathroom had used towels hanging over the curtain rod, used soap and wash cloth in the shower, and the door trim was pulling away from the walls. The TV wouldn’t work at all. Room was very dated, dirty, and dimly lit. Spent 10 minutes in the room before deciding to stay at another hotel and losing the $250 I spent on the “Junior suite” that wasn’t worth $1. Also breakfast was not included which I would assume to be equally terrible anyway. Didn’t even spend enough time in the room to unpack before leaving and going to another hotel nearby. Booked a similar room for a similar price at Home2 suites that was 10-15 minutes away. Wish that would have been my first choice. Home2 suites I would give 10/10. Do not take a chance at Hilton Gardens. It was the worst hotel I have ever booked!

This hotel was very clean and there were food restaurants within walking distance. There was room service every day and all the staff where very helpful.

Room smells of mildew.

We smelled smoking heavy in hallway. You could smell it in our room but we had to put a towel down at door and it helped. We expected a non smoking area

No cable TV for 5 days. Staff lied about it. Didn’t inform us at check in that they had NO cable TV. Continued to say “they” are working on it. Rooms are old outdated, dirty carpets.

We were overcharged at the breakfast buffet and only compensated us partially. Also the TVs never worked in the hotel as well as the pool being closed. So for us, we paid way too much. Staff was nice enough though, it’s just unfortunate they worked at this property.

Location is excellent and very convenient to area tourist locations. The service staff were all super friendly and helpful. Options for food were good, not pricey with a nice selection for grill options. Many options for food exist within walking distance. Room was comfortable with the exception of the a/c unit which was aircraft engine loud. We turned it off, thankfully the night was cool. The room was on the ground level, very convenient, but the occupant above us was heavy footed and one could hear every movement. Overall a nice place to stay overnight.

The rooms definitely need an upgrade. Old type tub/showers. Heat/ac on wall falling off. New carpets, wall paper, counters, and fresh pillows needed. We usually bring ours and forgot. I put a towel over my pillow so I could sleep. Musty, stinky pillows are the worst…clean pillow case doesn’t help. Also on our visit noticed a lot of pets. We love pets but not in our room…and we had to change rooms due to the adjoining room having 2 dogs and a pot belly pig in it. Yes a pig….a barnyard animal. I understand we’ve domesticated them but not to stay in a hotel. I think this is a health risk. I have no idea what diseases a pig carry’s. Hope his head wasn’t on my pillow.

Our room had lots of traffic noise. The staff did offer to move us but we declined as we were only there for 2 nights.

Bed was very comfortable, the floor was quiet at night except for highway traffic. Room was spacious. The reception personnel were very helpful and pleasant. Could walk to eating establishments, to Walmart, and to other local shops.

We stayed at this hotel because it is very close to Longwood Gardens. The rooms could use updating. Our room didn’t have hot water. The front desk informed us that the lower numbered rooms don’t have hot water (about half of the hotel). There is only one generator currently working. Our option was to move rooms. The next room had hot water. Just be warned if you are given a lower numbered room. The staff was helpful and even gave us a complementary toothbrush since we forgot ours. Overall, it served its purpose but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again.

Your front dest staff and the lady from the kitchen were excellent. The young man who checked us in was outstanding. Totally service oriented. Your cleaning staff is exceptional. We did not eat breakfast but it was always crowded when we came down to go out. Your location is so convenient .

Had a stopped up toilet. Called the front desk. Lady laughed haring our dilema. Then Front desk asked us to plunge our own toillet. Chief Engineer comments about not being a five star hotel. Because of insufficient staff on hand. No manager on staff even though the person. At the front desk called them.

Well-kept property, where we enjoyed quiet evenings. The staff is super friendly and go "above and beyond" to ensure the guests are comfortable. Room was thoroughly cleaned each day. We will stay there again when we come to Pennsylvania.

This property is located close to Longwood Gardens, which is great. However, it is located right next to the highway and was extremely noisy. And there is always traffic. There was no hot water in the shower. When I mentioned this to the staff, no response. The staff was not particularly friendly. When I asked for a receipt I was told to "go online". The lobby has a strange mix of check-in, waiting area and bar/restaurant. Not exactly sure if there was food but guests were drinking in the area that people are checking in.

From check in to check out the staff was kind, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the area.

Room was good. Waitress had an attitude. We were the first people in the restaurant and she waited on all tables, but us. She actually walked past our table and did not acknowledge us.

There was confusion around, checking as it was changing of the shift and rebooting of the computers, and none of that was explained to me waiting or apologize for. The place overall is a little on the rundown side, especially in terms of the carpet and outdated furniture. The room was very clean. Towels & sheets seemed new. Lobby breakfast not included in room price.

The hotel was located near Longwood Gardens. My family visited the gardens on Christmas night to view the light show. The hotel was very convenient for a one night stay.

Extremely convenient location for visiting Longwood Gardens. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were well Kept and clean.

We liked the bright, inviting lobby, friendly staff and good breakfast (not included with the stay). Proximity to Longwood is key.

When we arrived, we discovered that the roof was being replaced, the pool was closed, the restaurant was only open for breakfast (not included). None of that was communicated to me before check-in. The front desk had a credit card reader problem. Also, there was no one at the front desk when I had a question. When there was someone at the front desk, they were not even slightly helpful. There was garbage in the lobby, for several hours. A couple of days after we left, I received several text messages and emails...

Chose your hotel due to its proximity to Longwood Gardens. Nice hotel. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was quite good and your bartender on New Year’s Eve was awesome!
