The hotel was disgusting and run-down. The bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. The base of the toilet was gross. We ran out of toilet paper twice and towels twice in the 4 days we stayed there. Breakfast was fine but by 9am items were limited. On Monday and Tuesday, there was no milk by 9am for cereal. Breakfast varies a bit from the staff working. On Wednesday there was more fruit and yogurt compared to Monday and Tuesday morning. The pool was green and unable to be used for 2 days which was a main reason we booked this hotel. The noise from other patrons woke us up twice in the middle of the night. The room smelled a bit musty. The wifi didn't work for us on the day we arrived. It was difficult to arrange Uber. The fridge in the room had significant ice buildup and froze some of our leftovers. Its outside of the downtown area but it has nothing to do or no restaurants within walking distance so you need to order in or plan your trip around meals. I would never stay at this property again.

Disappointing, we have stayed there many times in the past and this time was different. Lack of towels, temperature of lobby, pool conditions. I hope this changes as we have been quite happy with this location in the past.

We recently stayed for three nights at this location. When we arrived, two guests were also checking in, but indicated they were already there for 10 minutes waiting for front desk staff. Come to find out the hotel was understaffed for the evening. The free breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn fare, so no complaints other than the Dark Roast coffee tasting like motor oil. The room was quite pleasant. They should do some routine checks on the showers as the caulking around our shower head was completely off and was leaking pretty bad post-shower. The hotel is hidden away off the street, which was nice but also made me a little leery about nighttime activity. Lastly, we were really hoping for our kids to swim, but the pool looked very dirty. However, that did not stop other guests from swimming in the pool.

The hotel seemed tucked away behind trees off the main road but you a could still hear the hay traffic in the room - the front desk staff was not pleasant and the elevators were dirty. The room was clean and the bed was comfy however the front door did not close on its own and looked like someone had previously tried to break in ?!?

It's an older building, but still pretty well kept. Elevator entry was a bit dirty and panel loose. Room was good. Customer service was good. No hot tub and outdoor pool closed for the season, so not ideal.

TV didn't work properly, only got about 5 channels. Mattresses were very uncomfortable, hard as a rock. Lobby and breakfast area dirty. Furniture in lobby is worn and stained and nasty. This hotel needs an upgrade. On a positive note, parking was free and ample spaces. Free breakfast, although options were limited, but it was sufficient, not bad. Shower and bathtub was clean and water pressure was good and hot. Linen was clean and we got fresh towels every other day. Location is not bad, although nothing within walking distance, but only five minutes from highway and 20 minutes to airport and 15 minutes from downtown. Not a horrible experience by any means, but could be much better with a little upgrading.

Location was convenient to the areas we visited. Enjoyed the included breakfast. Beds were very comfortable. Only complaint is the floor in our room had not been vacuumed. A leaf, several pieces of cellophane, hair and threads were on the floor.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, but property needs some updating and a thorough cleaning. The carpets in the rooms, hallways and elevators were dirty with lots of debris which could be easily vacuumed. The outlet in our room was missing half of the outer plate. Not the standard we are used to with Hampton Inns.

The hotel wasn’t clean. We stayed for 5 nights and walked down the same hallway to our room At the end of the day and it was never vacuumed….passing by the same leaves blown in from outside. We were told that our room also would most likely not get housekeeping service and if we needed towels we needed to tell the front desk. We ran out of everything in the room and it wasn’t replenished. The door didn’t close properly so you had to slam it shut (didn’t feel safe because it was at the end of the hall near the exit/entrance to pool and outside area. It’s super loud there and you can hear everyone’s conversation. The place for smokers to go is right outside of the entrance so you’re greeted everytime by a cloud of smoke in your face. The rooms are dark and dingy and the rugs in the room have not been clean since they were first installed….it was gross. Stayed there in a pinch as it was last minute and everything was booked up a s sold out around the area. Won’t be staying there again.

From the time we pulled into the parking lot, entered the front lobby, and entered our room, we saw nothing but filth. Outside, the sidewalk way dirty, stained, and just generally unclean. Walking into the front lobby, the area was dirty. The gathering (breakfast) area in the lobby saw dirty and torn carpet. The pullout chairs were stained and dirty. The front desk had friendly staff, but the area was cluttered and unorganized. Arriving on our floor, we exited the elevator to find a carpeted hallway that looked to be un-vacuumed for some time. The carpet was also stained and dirty, which matched the corridor walls. Once we entered the room, it was tight, to say the least. The carpet was torn, stained, and needed to he vacuumed. Found on the carpet was a pill of some sort. As we travel with a service dog, we are blessed to have found the pill and disposed of it before our dog ingested the pill and experienced a negative outcome. The bathroom was good sized and general y clean. The shower head had several different settings, but if you tried to find a different setting, it was difficult, as the shower head was not attached to the shower wall. The water was hot, however, and got the job done. We did visit the breakfast area prior to our departure from the hotel. The area, as noted earlier, was generally dirty and unappealing. Food choices were plentiful, but typical “free” breakfast items. If you want to watch TV or use the Internet, this is not the place for you. Although warne

Rooms on back side of building noisy due to highway on the hillside above the parking lot. Charging four dollars a night for parking when they don't even ask for your license plate number is ridiculous. The drain in the bathroom sink barely drained. I would say this is a below average Hampton inn.

The room was clean and the facility itself was fine, but the thermostat in my room appeared to be broken or malfunctioning, it would flash "low battery" and just as soon as the fan/air conditioner started it would shut back off again. As a result, the temperature in the room was uncomfortable and the noise produced by the air conditioner starting and stopping every few minutes made sleep impossible. I brought it up with the front desk and they told me unfortunately nothing could be done until maintenance arrived late in the morning, which is understandable. I do wish I would have been offered a different room if that were possible. I ended up checking out hours earlier than intended because I could not handle the noise.

The check in process was a little hectic. I booked my room then the next day I added on another day. When I checked in, they made me check in both mornings that we stayed and pay an incidental coverage for each day. Just very inconvenient. It was quiet and bed was very comfortable.

Customer service was amazing. Mike at the front desk was very nice and Rebecca was super helpful. The entire hotel was extremely clean. The breakfast bar had different choices every day and was also very clean. This will be my go to hotel whenever I visit Pittsburgh. The location is great, free parking, the drive into the city isn’t bad- especially if you go the back way around the tunnel.

Overall it was ok, the room had a weird smell and the AC unit didn't really work as I like (I like to sleep really cold). Breakfast was your regular continental breakfast, nothing special but convenient to some people. Close to the city (12mins) but it's in a sort of commercial/industrial area. It's completely surrounded by trees, so you feel like in a jungle, but with the highway noise right next to you. If you want something more affordable (sort of) than staying in the city, I would recommend.

No lighting at the end of the street to see the street sign. Brush obstructed a small sign. Larger sign was one sided and covered with brush. Took almost two hours to find location. Called the hotel and was told, " you not to far from us....look for the sign". Pretty hard to do in the dark, with no lighting and brush covering the sign. Hotel high on a hill. Brush all along entrance road. Looks like abandon property going to hill.

We just stayed for one night but it was clean, updated, and smelled great when we walked in. We were greeted by friendly woman at the front. The only thing was there was a hole in the bathroom where they removed a hook and moved it. But that was it. My son and I had a good stay. A little tricky to get to but it was nice

The Hampton Inn - Green Tree is such a gem! Just outside of Pittsburgh, it is minutes from all of the sights in Pittsburgh, but has plenty of parking, is near many local restaurants and bars and is quiet. It also is reasonably priced.

The room is standard with basic necessities. The only issue is the TV color is way off and most of the chanel is not working. I presume since everyone has their own devices no one is watching TV anymore. One thing has to praise is the breakfast they serve are pretty good compared to what we normally get. They have kielbasa, roasted red potatoes and omelet which you don't see in a lot of the hotel when serving fee breakfast. I have to give them a 2 thumbs up on that
