Hampton Inn Stroudsburg/Poconos

Hotel was nice and clean. Location was a few blocks offf main strip. With lots of options for food and sight. The pool was a nice size for kids. Not very deep. 5 feet. I didn’t do breakfast since Dunkin’ donut was a block away. The only thing was hotel was booked to capacity so the hot water ran out in our room till the next morning. Besides that it was a nice hotel.

When I checked in, the woman at the front desk was rude and not friendly at all. I was not informed about your hot water heater being broken, and I was not told that there was a wedding that night. My brother in law checked in a couple minutes before I arrived. He was told to wake up at 7am if he wanted a warm shower. All night a man was screaming and fighting with someone and kept us up! The people above us seemed to be slamming the furniture on the floor which was our ceiling. The people across the hall from us had a dog that cried. The bed was lumpy and the sheets were pilly. I should have asked for a refund!

There was no jot water the people who checked us in didnt tell us. We received a refund but ut was very inconvenient and unprofessional of those 2 staff people.

Our stay was fun. The breakfast was good., when we were there we enjoyed the pool. One thing, my husband saw a broken chair at the pool, he reported it to the front desk and a day later that same chair was in the same condition with no sighn but just put in the corner.

This is a nice place to stay - with some great amenities including a peloton bike in the gym. The reason for the 4 star is the value on the weekend, when the price surged to nearly $300/night, which is not a good value for this area. Having said that, I would stay there again.

I have atayed in Many Hampton Inns and this was one I wouldn't come back to when there are different choiices in the area. They also should cleen the pool. The bottom was so dirty.

The parking lot was full of ice. Only the driving lanes were clear not the actual spaces so walking was very hazardous. The pool was closed the entire time because of a broken heater. They told us the pool would be fixed before we left but of course that was a lie (holidays, part was on order, etc.). The ice machines were broken on every floor. The first floor bathroom was partially out of order and never fixed. Only 1 out of 2 elevators were working. Only 2 towels were provided in a room meant for 4 people so we had to make a special trip downstairs once we were already settled. Breakfast was ok but old lady attendant was rude and radiated negative energy to the whole area. Not enough seats were available for people to eat. Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day but never came to our room during our 4 day stay even though we called twice to make sure. Front desk attendant on 2nd shift said it "wasn't her problem to fix". Avoid this place!!! We come to PA every year for new years weekend and will definitely not stay here again.

This hotel is very run down. Leaky ceiling right in the lobby. Dirty everywhere. And what was that disgusting smell in the hallways, lobby and elevator???? Good thing it wasn’t in my room or I would have left immediately. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The room was filthy! The entry floor, bathroom floor and tub were disgusting. Stains all over the wall next to the bed. Was not happy.

First room at checkin had mold around the window. I went to front desk asked for manager and the manager was not available so front desk person changed my room. The second room had mold around the window and on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom was never cleaned because there was hair in the tub and on the floor near the sink. The floors were dirty and dirt stains on walls in the bathroom. This place was completely unacceptable. I took photos and when i went to the front desk again to speak to the manager, again the clerk said the manager was not available but they would refund my full cost. I will never stay there again.

The room was not properly cleaned. We let the staff know and they moved the dirt around but did not truly clean it.

Bed and bathroom clean but floors in rooms and vathrooms have grime in them. They need cleaned with a standing scrub brudh. I cleaned motels for a living for awhile before becoming a nurse so I know what needs to be done. Also there is only one table outside breakfast area and I was told it is becIse of people using grills on them so management is not replacong them. Post clear eules snd call the police if customers domt comply with rules. Dont penalize the other guests that have dogs and need to sit outside because of no dogs in dinning area. Also only one table outdide swim area. I travel to poconos once itr twice a year and probably not be staying here. I can see why it was less expensive.....

Horrible customer service. Employees were ever unprofessional. Food looked disgusting. Rooms and hallways reeked of smoke. My room on the 3rd floor smelled like an indoor pool. The air conditioner reeked of mold and the wall around the unit had mold climbing it. The window was wet and full of condensation. All together two thumbs down.

The hotel is old. And the smell coming out of AC is terrible.

I have never seen such a dirty hotel! My family and I had an awful experience and found the hotel to be extremely dirty and unsanitary, I was shocked by the condition of the hotel based on the pictures and reviews online, the photos are extremely misleading. The lobby was dirty, the hallways were filthy with crumbs, food and trash, splatters on the walls, the furniture in the lobby is dirty and the ENTIRE HOTEL smelled awful of smoke! The smell was so strong in the hallway by our room despite the sign saying "smoke free." The conditions at breakfast were horrible, the buffet was a mess and staff followed no sanitary precautions when refilling food stations. Staff let us into an "overflow" room because seating was so overcrowded which was an uncleaned meeting room that was even worse than the hallway! The rugs were covered in crumbs and dirt and overflowing trash. Our rooms bedding was dirty and stained, there was mold in the bathroom tiles. I was just so shocked that this is a Hilton property in this condition. We left our stay 1 day early because we could not tolerate the awful smell, reported it to the front desk and the manager and am pursuing a complaint with the health department.

Hotel had a lingering smell that was unpleasant

Our stay was fine. It was 1 overnight. Room was clean and hotel was quiet, except for the A/C unit in our room, which sounded like an airplane taking off every time the fan kicked on. If i had to, i would stay there again. Very close to downtown East Stroudsburg. 5 minute walk to stores, restaurants and bars. Very convenient. Only 5 minutes from ESU and Route 80.

The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of towels. Check-in was easy. Rooms were clean. This was my second time staying here. I noticed my room this time had significantly more wear than the one before, mostly in the bathroom. There was some water damage and rust stains in the tub.

Location and breakfast was great! Big issues were: 1) The heating/AC had a mind of it's own and needs replacing. 2) I have no issue with a dog friendly hotel but two dogs barking at midnight was ridiculous. I finally had to call down as it was obvious that the owners had left the dogs alone in the room 3) House-keeping didn't come and clean the room as we stayed two nights.

The beds were so bad, we ended up leaving a night early due to lack of sleep. Breakfast was your typical frozen junk. There was no sound insulation between floors so we also didn’t sleep because it sounded like people were bowling upstairs

The property & room were very clean, however, there was no microwave or safe in the room - these had been advertised as being two of the ammenities.

Staff was great. Very friendly and polite. The room was a bit dated. Bedding was ROUGH. I have sensitive skin and could not sleep with the comforter. Also, is there a shortage on toilet paper? Why only one extra roll???

Flooring is separating in the rooms. Time for some upgrades.

No major complaints. We had a nice stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was definitely clean, which is the most important part. I would have given this a 5/5 rating, but our room was supposed to come with a mini fridge and it didn't have one. We ended up not needing it, so it wasn't an issue. I would stay here again mainly due to cleanliness, how quiet it was, and convenience to Main Street Stroudsburg.

This is one of the cleanest, well run hotels we have stayed at in this price range. The breakfast that is included in the price of the room is one of the best we've had. Gluten free options were also available. We experienced impeccable customer service from every employee! Astounding!

Great location being walkable to Main Street. Kiki checked us in with a warm smile and friendly welcoming! She was great. Unfortunately, the lady who checked us out today was quite the opposite--no smile, no response to our "Good Morning!", and when I asked about a receipt, she responded by asking for our room number and then a firm "you call Expedia for that"--that\'s it. She clearly needs training or a new job! Hope this feedback is helpful :)

Even though I reserved and paid for a room with 2 queen size beds for 2 adults, I was given a room with one single bed. When I showed the staff at hotel my reservation, they said they were full and could not give me the room I reserved and paid for. When I asked for a refund, I was told that because I made the reservation through a 3rd party app, they could not do anything. Then why did you accept the reservation. Staff behind desk are very rude. I will not be back.

Miss Shirley(kitchen) John and Kevin (hotel maintenance) Were very friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff were extremely unapproachable, not friendly at all. At some points we felt very uncomfortable being witness to a personal dispute with the front desk lady and her relative who lived on location. Police were called to the scene. It seems like this location was occupied by staff members family who lived on premises. Daily hangout and get togethers at the front desk seem common at this hotel. It’s more like the staffs private reside and they just allow you to stay there. But not without angry looks and unapproachable attitudes from the front desk ladies. I do not recommend this location at ALL. PS This is my first bad review to any Hilton I have have ever stayed at. This place shouldn’t hold a Hilton LOGO because it does not meet Hilton Standards.

This property was conveniently located within walking distance of food and with easy access to the highway. When I pointed out that my room’s fire alarm was missing, they offered me a new room right away. Breakfast was great. My only disappointment was that I got an abrupt, “we don’t do that on weekends” when I asked for a late checkout. A “well, what time would you like? I’ll see if we can make that happen.” would have been nice, even if they wouldn’t have been able to allow it.

We had noisy neighbors the first night but the front desk promptly took care it. Second night was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, professional and respectful.

A poorly supervised hotel with some very weak staff. Not unusual to see staff watching content on their phones during work hours when there is clearly work to be done. I asked for an extra blanket and had to come to the front desk to get it. Staff at the front desk are sometimes friendly, but too informal in how they address people. I noticed two doors that don't lock unless you push on them as they close, and yet the sign says that you need a key card to enter. That is a security issue.

This was my second stay at this property, and both times I booked a king room. Unfortunately, on both occasions, the king rooms were overbooked, and I was placed in a smaller room. I understand this can happen, and the staff was able to move me once a king room opened. However, this time the new room I was given was a connecting room (which I had specifically requested not to have) and the AC was broken. I asked to be moved back to my original room, as I preferred a smaller room with working AC over a larger one without. Additionally, one day while I was in the middle of a shower, the water completely shut off. When I contacted the front desk, I was told maintenance was working on it and that service would be restored soon. Despite these issues, the staff was kind and accommodating, and the facilities overall were good.

It is a nice location during a drive between Providence and Pittsburgh. Walkable to a nice main Street and lots of shops.

Staff was friendly and room was clean. Plenty of parking. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Came for a show at the Sherman and was great to be able to walk there. Would recommend this hotel!

This is my go to hotel when visiting the Poconos because everything is within the vicinity. Only thing I would say is that the lady cooking the breakfast needs to change up the eggs because she kept serving the same western omelette and not that many people like that.

We found the breakfast subpar. Overall our stay was excellent.

Staff was rude (Amina the front desk staff). We asked for our room get cleaned up and the staff said It was not due for cleaning. The only thing that's nice about this hotel was the pool. Other than that. I won't recommend to family to stay. I made a mistake saving extra 40 bucks a night and end up with a disaster stay. No Netflix, microwave. The breakfast was like jail food.

I did not care for the breakfast service during the first morning of my stay. The waffle machines were broken or not turned on and the juice machine was dispensing only water from all juice selections (this was at about 6:30). Kitchen employees seemed more interested in taking "smoke breaks" rather than being attentive. Also, employees reeked of cigarette smoke when they came back inside. Smoke is not what I am desiring to smell when I want to eat. The second morning, breakfast was a bit better. The woman that appeared to be in charge seemed to genuinely care about the guests. She said that the circuit breaker keeps shutting off the waffle machines? She was very apologetic and kind, as some things appeared to be beyond her control.
