3 Nights. Best Friend and I loved the convenience of everything we needed under one roof. Great Food. Awesome Bands at Ocean Annies, quick elevators and short flat walk to the ocean. Wonderful. 2nd time renting there. We loved it.

Hotel was very nice, everyone was great abd friendly! Pools were dirty and not heated! Parking garage was poorly lite and the top floor had no lights at all very un safe! Had to call front desk eveeyday for clean towels and most days never received wash rags, the only day they did come in and give clean towels they placed them on the dirty bathroom floor!!!! Stacked trash in hallways!! House keeping was a joke!!!!!! Will not go back to this hotel for the price i spent!!!!!

Ocean Annie's resort/sands ocean club never disappoints! Always clean! Location, location, location cannot be beat! Live music, pools, good parking! I've stayed here multiple times and I have never been disappointed with my room or view! Remember your free water park passes because that is a great perk for the kiddos! Will stay again!

Loved that the hotel had bell hops and they even opened the doors for you upon arrival and departure. Bands and bars were very nice too!!

The resort was great overall though it was a bit dated. The condos are privately owened, and the one we had was very dated and had some damage. Also, they didnt provide all of the kitchen essentials to cook. Guest and room service was AMAZING. Everyone was so friendly. Ocean Annie's Bar had fabulous live music every day right on the beach. River City Cafe was DELISH!

Location is fantastic. Indoor pool and lazy river are great but the outdoor pool is small and always crowded even though there isn’t an inch of shade. The lobby is HOT. I was pouring sweat just trying to check in. The whole place could use an upgrade. The ac units are so loud that you can’t even hear ur ocean from your balcony. Beds also aren’t super comfy, my back was tight every morning.

I dont think our room had been used or cleaned for a while when we got there. That said, the room was just okay. The property is older but very large. It is right on the beach. You will need your own chair for the beach. The pool is not heated. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the pool deck and by the lazy river. Live music every night.

The room NEVER cooled down! One of two elevators that serviced as only access to our tower did not work. Had to stand in long lines to get to our room. There were 17 floors!!! Room was very dated . Outdoors was nice. Music everyday @ nice beach bar. Nice resturants on grounds.

even though they have a parking garage, you could never find a space below the 3rd level, The first & second level were always full. When your room is on the 16th floor of the hotel / condos... it makes it a bit unhandy.And the view from the 16th floor of a U shaped building was limited when the room is back in the pocket of the U. The room was a bit dated. and the fridge looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. some of the front desk staff were not very friendly or helpful

Room 1739 was a dirty, moldy, humid, unkept room. We were literally slipping and sliding on the floors due to the dampness of the room. The sink didn’t drain; we couldn’t even brush our teeth without it nearly overflowing. There was mold on the ceilings, walls, and even the bedding skirt. There was dirty clothing and sheets outside of our door for days that we had to walk around to enter the hallway. It was an expensive stay for a nasty room. I have attached photos.

We had to be moved to another room immediately after checking in due to seeing a roach as soon as we walked in. In the room we were moved to, we later saw more roaches on Friday night. By Saturday night, we noticed bite marks on both the adults’ and kids’ legs, and we discovered bedbugs. At that point, it was late and the kids were already asleep, so we did not want to go through the hassle of changing rooms again. The rooms were not clean, and the overall upkeep is far below acceptable standards. We checked out first thing the next morning. I went to the front desk and was given the manager’s email. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great place! Just had some issues with the cleanliness of our room! Sheets seemed re used without being washed, bathroom floor was dirty. The last tenants left some items behind that was just left by room service for us to find, but honestly not the worst place to stay! The environment was amazing! No bed bugs! Vibe was great and staff was amazing!

The room was extremely nasty. The first room I received had a bunch of roaches everywhere crawling . As soon as I turned on the light they started crawling everywhere. The floor was dirty not mopped . The second room I looked at had long string of hairs everywhere Floor not mopped at all . Dirty toilets. Then the third room I looked at floor was dirty there was sheet rock falling everywhere. I would say do better with the housekeeping. Nobody wants to pay money to stay in a dirty place . This shows that you don’t value our money or care what reviews we write or what we think . If you did there would be improvements . Do better . We are the customers without us you will not remain open let that sink in .

Room was dirty, sinks were clogged, coffee maker had mold inside water tank and lid. Marks on bathroom wall looked like feces. Had to switch room on our 6th day of a 7 day stay. New room was dirty, cabinets swollen from water damage, paint peeling. Marijuana smell throughout hotel. Unable to use luggage cart on 6th day move due to bell hop stating they didn’t loan them out. Very disappointing for the money we spent and was charged.

We paid for an ocean front condo. A roof with ac units, a covered sun lounge area, & the roofs of Ocean Annie's beach bar were between our balcony & the ocean all blocked the ocean view. The waves were barely a purr because of the ac units, pool chatter and Ocean Annie's live music. (The live music was the BEST part of the SOCR. It was excellent! Too bad the rest if the resort wasn't) Our room and the hotel were dated but that would be ok if it was clean. Our room had roaches! Someone sprayed & left 7 roach traps in in full view, We didn't use the stove top because it was so grungy. The drains were filled with gunk. The kitchen and bathroom floors needed mopped & the carpets needed vacuumed. A staff member called housekeeping about the cleanliness but nothing was done. At checkout the clerk said, "Ok. But you did mention it to housekeeping?" No concern at all. The parking garage stairwell are disgusting! Peeling paint, seeping walls, dirty steps. Really gross and we had to use the stairs because the elevator was broken the last 3 days of our visit. (An out of order sign wasn't put on the elevator till the day we left.) Condo owners need to check their units if this company is maintaining and renting their condo. In hind sight we should have asked to change rooms. Our bad. But shame on the resort for not giving us a different condo when they knew we had roaches. A

Website says “beach towels” in two different places so I didn’t pack any because I was flying and they are heavy and take up a lot of room in a suitcase. In actuality, you can only use them at the pool and are forbidden to take them on the beach leaving me without a towel on the besch until I bought one. The wording needs to be changed to state “pool towels only”. My least favorite part was lack of the view. Because of the shape of the building, I could only see a small portion of the ocean, no sunrises, no sunsets, etc. However, it got worse because I was on the top floor and the balcony wall is very tall concrete walls on those units. If you sat in the furniture on the balcony, you literally could see nothing but that concrete wall, regardless your height. So the balcony was completely useless. With a few minor tweaks, this resort could be great. Right now I would rate ot 3.5 out of 5.

Front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful checking in on Monday May 19 at 5 pm. There was not any luggage dollies or bellmen available anywhere. The room and balcony was great. We loved the music at ocean Annie’s. Great to have 2 places to eat on site! Pool and lazy river had so much seating! Sheet was scratchy. Plenty of pillows and we could not use our plug in Roku on the tv. Internet was slow. The view was amazing. The beach was wide with lots of soave; very easy to get to from resort. Rental chairs with umbrellas were available to rent. Area was quiet and clean.

The bathroom tub, bedroom wall lamp above the nightstand, balcony slide door, and balcony furniture had rusted and broken areas that were patched up. The room smelled mildewed! There was no shower curtain, only one broken up bar of soap, no rags in the bathroom, and the slide door lock wouldn’t work properly.. had to call maintenance to repair it. Finally, the hot water NEVER got hot..only warm! It looked different from the beautiful pics online, for sure!

Good place for the money.... the worst part was the neighbors with apparent adjoining rooms with their children who screamed all hours a the oarents screamed back ! If that wasn't distracting the guests below us smoked so much non tobacco product ...I fear I got a contact buzz !! Not the best place for a family vacation with teenagers... pool was always packed with either adults or really littles ... not much interactions with staff but they were respectful and responsive when needed.

Somehow we accidentally booked for the “old side” of the hotel which is in desperate need of updates. Not sure if there is a way to know which side you’re booking on. Also walls are paper thin and thermostat wouldn’t stay where we put it. Not sure we will rebook this hotel in the future.

Property had a lot to offer but the staff was rude, I had to give the desk my license to use a luggage cart and when I returned it she had accidentally given my ID to someone else. Elevators are very noisy , walls are thin, you hear everything in the room next door. I had to ask for clean towels even though the sign says they would be replaced. Love this hotel... You're at Myrtle Beach but with none of the crowd. Never have to leave the resort if you don't want to. I do have one complaint. I checked out today everyone was nice during our stay, Chris the bellhop was great. The black woman this morning shift with the very friendly bald man was very very rude for no reason. She come very close to getting told how rude she was. If you don't like your job leave!! Other than her perfect trip as always!!!

Housekeeping is terrible, no clean towels, had to buy our own toilet paper ( kept asking for it and could not get it) One elevator out of 2 were working entire week. Fire alarm was set off, front desk had no clue until we told them. Did not feel safe in this resort. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

It was great other than my wife and son had to crawl out of the elevator cause it was stuck between two floors !! Then when I asked the front desk is there any compensation she said it was a mechanical issue they don’t own the elevators!! I then told them it’s your hotel your elevators!! No child and mother should be stuck in an elevator for 20 mins and there’s no ac in them at all !! My son is only seven years old I believe they could have done something for the inconvenience!! Definitely got to do better with customer service !!

Ladies at check-in did not greet you with a welcome of hello and acted as if they had an attitude when you asked them a question. No smile. No hello how are you. At check out no thank you for staying with us. NOTHING. We were in a corner room with only a small view of the ocean and more of the buildings when I BOOKED AND ASKED for ocean view. When asked for another room they said they didn’t have any and come to find out they actually did. The buffet breakfast was horrible. We had to pay even though when i booked it said breakfast was included. When taking a shower the water did not flow down the drain it was backed up and water was at our ankles when showering. The light bulbs was burnt out in a lamp in the room. The patio was so hot you couldn’t sit out there bcs the air conditioner blew the heat from the back of the unit. I WILL NOT STAY AGAIN UNLESS I HAVE AN OCEAN VIEW ROOM.

This hotel is great if you are looking for a cheap beachfront option and manage your expectations. We had a 2 bedroom suite for me and my 4 sons. It smelled like mildew and its dated, but it was a full suite with a kitchenette, pull out couch and a sizable terrace. The hotel doesn't supply towels for the indoor/outdoor pools, beach or lazy river. Bring your own! They have a tiki hut by the outdoor pool and they have live music playing which is pretty sweet while you're on the beach or at the pool, but the party goes pretty late. You'll hear it in your room. It's close to the main drag, but far enough to not have the noise and the parking deck is tight, but hey free parking!

Overall our stay was great our room was clean, the property overall could use some updates. We were right above the pool area so the band played until about 11…not a deal breaker as the band was really good but if you have kids may want to consider this. Location was convenient and close to things to do. The price was very reasonable for peak summer dates.

I was a little nervous to stay here due to the existing reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the lobby. It is beautiful. Little bit of a party scene at Ocean Annies but still kid friendly. Walking distance to Apache Pier. The rooms are individually owned, so you don't know what kind of room you will get. My parents also booked a room, and theirs was the same price, but way nicer. You get a free round of golf at Diamondback, but that is quite the drive from the hotel. There is another golf course across the street. I have played there before. Overall, I had a much better experience than what the reviews stated. I was nervous walking in, and had a very nice time. Parking deck is kind of sketchy, it gets packed quick and if you have a big lifted truck, you may not be able to get on the upper levels.

The best thing for me is that it was located right on the beach, so the room had a nice ocean view, and you could walk out the back of the building and directly onto the sand. Overall, it's about what I expected given the price. There is live music at the bar that lasts until 11:00pm, so if that is something that bothers you, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The River City Cafe’s food was delicious and there was a great band playing from 2pm - 11pm and the beach bar. You could spend the whole vacation at the beach and pool and have a great time.

I enjoyed the entertainment, the staff was very helpful and friendly, I was placed in the wrong room but the error was fixed immediately with no hesitation! The bar inside was Lit! I didn’t have to worry about being to loud lol! The parking sucks but I won’t complain I just hate car garages

Do not sleep on this resort. It is not the newest kid on the block, but the vibes make it a 5star experience. From breakfast at the onsite restaurant to karaoke at the bar in the evening. You don't have to leave the property to have a great time.

The resort was not up to what I had experienced at a resort in that area before. Breakfast bar was limited and not able to take food out of restaurant. The cost of breakfast was not clearly defined. It was written as if everything was included in price but drinks were not. Our room was right over the bandstand , bathroom floor had not been swept. Room very small and shower head leaked when in use, needs to be replaced. I would not recommend this resort nor would i stay there again. My only complaint is after being a 20 plus year customer of this resort I was disappointed to see that in the fitness center/gym the weight machine had been removed and only bicycles and treadmills remain which by definition is no longer a fitness center/gym hence not being able to use a real weight machine made me angry so that obvious question is why was it removed?
