All around great experience

The staff really wanted you to enjoy your time with them. They were kind and respectful especially with the children. I would like to see the outdoor swimming area available because it wasn’t clearly stated that it would not be.

BAD-you have to enter the waterpark through the main lobby only, even though there are gates right in front of the building that you can use. There are 3 different buildings and our building was the farthest away, so we had a longer walk to get to the pool even though our building was right in front of it. The main lobby floors, stores, etc. Always had water on the floor and I seen multiple people fall. And I had to always be cautious walking in the lobby. Staff was mopping it up when they could but the traffic in and out was too busy. It was very inconvenient to have to walk through the lobby of the main building to access the pool/waterslides. The rocking chairs on the baloney are way too big for the small balcony. No microwave or coffee maker in the rooms. I feel that a hotel that is geared towards children should defiantly have microwaves to reheat food or baby bottles. There is 1 on each floor that everyone can use, but that is inconvenient. GOOD-staff was very nice. Good location. Pool/waterslides are very nice. Breakfast food is good, buy advance tickets to get food discount. Pizza is amazing, Coffee shop is great. They provide towels for the pool/waterslides. Arcade is nice touch but expensive. Ice cream shop is very nice and good prices. Considering it is a "family" hotel, it seemed nicely nice proof. Beds were comfortable. I would stay here again if I was bringing kids

Enjoyed the indoor water area, arcade, and breakfast. They need a hallway connecting the second building to the primary building so that you don't have to walk in the cold & rain to get to the main building.

The pool area is awesome, and the location of the hotel. We would stay here again, but recommend dusting and vacuuming better in the rooms. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They had activities for the kids. Great central location and nice rooms which were affordable. My boys liked the waterpark. My 2 complaints are the lifeguards weren't really working but chatting to each other on their walkie talkies and when I called she said outdoor waterpark closes mid-Oct but failed to mention only the pool is open during the week, and slides and splashpad only open on the weekends. We survived but would have been nice to know.

Great weather and we were able to enjoy the outdoor pool as well as indoor pool. Clean and well kept

I’ve stayed here several times now and each stay has been solid all around. The rooms have been consistently clean, the staff has been friendly and attentive, and the amenities are top tier and somehow keep getting better every time I come back. It’s always an easy, comfortable experience.

I was very disappointed in the Fitness center that opens at 9am with check out being 10am makes absolutely no sense. When I select a hotel a fitness center is required and I didn’t even get to use it and had to drive and pay for a day pass at a local facility.

Nice indoor and outdoor pool area. Wish the indoor slides stayed open until the pool area closes though.

The building we stayed in had a really bad smell. We were unable to truly enjoy our selves because the rooms smelled so bad, we opened the door so fresh air could come in , we sprayed the room with lysol and air freshener, but the smell was just awful we advised the staff they came up vacuum but never offered to change the room we had two other groups with us and we all had the same complaint about the smell

Don’t wash the blankets, the room is not clean

The resort was great for kids. The only complaint I have is that our room smelled a little like mildew, I imagine thats from lots of wet kids and carpet...

Our favorite place to stay. So many things for the kids to do. Always clean.

This property was great. We came with our 4 children and had so much fun. Everyone was so kind and friendly, the food from the on site restaurant was fantastic and our room was probably one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. That being said I have some things I’d like to see changed when we come back to visit. These are not cons at all and I’d come again even if they weren’t fixed. -There are some cosmetic issues like flaking paint, bubbling wall paper, missing molding around entry doors and mold in those areas. We stayed in the summit tower and those were some things I definitely noticed. -I’d like to see the pools and water park areas be kept properly maintained, the water was so chlorinated my eyes stung just walking into the indoor water park. The pools were kinda cloudy and you just could tell the water wasn’t properly treated and I’m sure that’s not totally safe. I’d also like for rules to be more clear my child got told they couldn’t wear goggles down the slide (the water again burned our eyes really badly) which was fine but I just would’ve liked to know that before buying them. -I noticed housekeeping didn’t change the top covers for bedding when we walked by them cleaning rooms and I’m not sure if that’s how all hotels work but I thought that was gross. I’d like to know everything I’m touching has been laundered. -Parking could be better. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. We had PLENTY to do and I loved how everything was so child friendly.

The beds terrible and the room was not clean. Found a hair clip on the floor next to a bed. Looked like they didnt sweep or clean the room. Very disappointed in the cleanliness.

Unfortunately our room was not clean. The bathroom was awful the toilet hadn’t been cleaned at all. There was dust and grime on the walls and baseboard. Mirrors and spicket were covered with toothpaste for prior guests. The towels were stained. The carpet in the room had an odor. The mattress protector was not on the mattress and the mattress was hanging out. It looked very poorly maintained. We had housekeeping re clean the bathroom, they sent someone who didn’t speak English so we couldn’t communicate. The kids enjoyed the waterpark, but the rooms needed attention.

Our stay was great. Everything was nice and clean.

It was a fun weekend. Employees were very nice. One thing concerned me. The room seemed to have a musty smell. It didn’t slow us down. We weren’t in the room much.

Our stay was great! The beds are definitely due for an upgrade, they are not comfortable and the mattress/box spring queen bed rocked as you moved while the mattress was so soft and flimsy that it was hard for 2 people to get comfortable. Internet access was good. Communication prior to our stay could have been better as apparently we were in the middle of "seasonal change" and the pool slides weren't open all the time. Also, an entrance to the outdoor pool needs to be made from tower 2. Having to go all the way around sucks!

Overall, we really enjoy the Country Cascades. The indoor “waterpark” and large pool and warming pool make it a strong contender in the cooler months like The Resort and Wilderness. I’m not a fan of the rooms bathroom layouts (very small) and lack of microwave. The Summit tower is detached from the other buildings which means you have to walk across the parking lot to access the pools and other amenities. That being said, the access to the amenities is poorly laid out as a whole in my opinion as well. You have to walk in front of the resorts main entrance to get to the pools. This leaving you exposed- in your bathing suits- to the elements and other patrons entering the resort, water in the main entry floor, and often a traffic jam of people checking in/out and those who are coming/leaving the pools. It’s mind blowing how they probably paid a fortune for a designer and /or engineer to create the terrible blueprint that they have. the Resort at GC has a much better design and accessibility to amenities IMO.

We stayed in a penthouse room with an upstairs. It was great for the size and easily fit 5. I didn’t like that there was only 1 bathroom and you had to go down the stairs to use it. Also the AC units upstairs didn’t work well so it was extremely hot up there

Very nice resort. Comfy beds and rooms. Coffee shop on site has great variety and very reasonable prices. New indoor water park was very nice. On site breakfast was very good, sausage was just a little chewy. My only complaints were every time someone flushed the toilet or used the tub/shower it sounded like a loud rush and woke me up during the night and made it difficult to sleep some. We were on the first floor so I think that’s why the sound from the water pipes was so loud. Also could use more trash cans in community areas such as by outside doors and by elevators. I don’t like keeping trash in the room and had to go a ways to find a trash can down the hallways in property.

Staff were excellent across the board. All very nice and accommodating. If I were traveling with kids I know they would have enjoyed it. Still a good place as a solo traveler. The doors and walls were a bit thin so I could hear other rooms

We had the penthouse suite. I should have looked more closely at the details. Both bedrooms were upstairs. There was no door between bedrooms and bathroom was downstairs and you had to walk down spiral stairs to get to. There was not enough sitting room for a family of 6. The water activities are great for small children.

Think Knock off GWL family hotel. Definitely geared toward families with children under 10(ish). Several pools, slides, and fire pits areas outside. Hotel was very clean, majority of staff is wonderful and kind. Booked off hotels.com, not certain if that impacted room given but our toilet did not flush properly, it took 2 different daily visits from maintenance to correct, no "VIP" gift was given at check in, room smelled like strong body odor and Axe spray. Elevators were right outside our room and heard all night long. Hallways and ceilings are NOT soundproof so every movement is audible. Beds are very comfirtable, bunk areas are cute. Many activities for younger age group. Location is VERY convenient for trolley, Pirates show, and many restaurants/attractions. Inside restaurants are costly but convenient. Overall nice hotel for younger family however for price point I will not book again. Imho overpriced and underwhelming. (Side note: travel 3-4 times a year in hotels with my children and this was a disappointment for the price. I pay same amount at Great Wolf for higher end food/activities.)

Everything was great except for the wifi it was not great at all

The mattress was the most uncomfortable one I’ve ever slept on in a hotel - the old school kind with metal box springs. It would have been a great stay but for that. Otherwise, the room was clean, service was good, and amenities adequate for the price.

We stayed in the family penthouse which had plenty of space for our family of six. Note that there are no doors on bedrooms which I thought was odd for the back room where there is a doorway but no door. This made changing interesting but it was workable. Also, the stairs are windy and not super sturdy and the bathroom is downstairs while the bedrooms are upstairs so nighttime bathroom visits are challenging. We were there during the off season so it was quiet and there were no crowds. All of my kids enjoyed the waterpark which has three large slides, several small slides, a warming tub, splash pad, and pool area. The activities included were aimed towards younger kids so we only did one. (ours are 9 years and older) The free "snow cones" offered were just freeze pops. Also, check on the breakfast buffet hours before you go because I pre purchased passes but it was only open on weekends so we had to get a refund. They were very good about that though. I felt like the value was worth it. The resort isn't high class but it's clean and neat and good for a short stay. It's located right in Pigeon Forge and convenient to a plethora of shops and restaurants. Pigeon Forge isn't really walkable but you could walk to some things if you wanted to. As far as food at the hotel, they have a coffee shop with muffins and scones and breakfast sandwiches for purchase. They also have a gift shop and a fudge/bakery shop.

Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Gift shop staff was awesome! Rooms were clean & cozy, bathroom sinks drain very slow. Pool area was great. 10/10 Would stay again!

Room was good but the staff at the game room was very disrespectful to my 5 year old child so for that reason we will not be back

Everything was great. We opted to check in a little early and paid the $50 for it. It was worth it. One of our beds was broken and they sent maintenance out within 10 minutes to fix it. The breakfast is fantastic and all of the employees are so kind!

Desk staff was not really friendly. Waterparks were great. One thing I suggest do a soft check in. Becausevat 4pm check in line was really long.

The staff was amazing and upgraded our room because our teenage daughter weren't comfortable in the bunk beds made for smaller children. They had no problem accommodating us which made our stay and experience much better. It is nice to stay at a hotel that has great customer service and wants to make their customers comfortable and happy. This is not always the case anymore for some hotel chains. Thank you so much for your great service and caring about the comfort of your customers.

The only problem with this visit was we were pulling a trailer that took up one additional parking spot. They made us pay $55 extra to have the trailer with us, which is totally acceptable. The problem came when they continued to call us about it and made us park in the very back of the lot, even though we paid an extra sum of money. Parking it in the back wasn’t necessarily such a big problem. It was just a continued calls about it even though we registered it with them. Other than that, this is a fantastic stay.

This place is beautiful, the service and location are very good, I would return to this place.

Nice property and it is walkable to shopping and food.

Decorations for Halloween were adorable. Clean room. Friendly staff. Close to everything.

We walked about a block to take the bus stop and rode Tran to Dollywood.

The property sits off the main road and the sign is not noticable, passed by it twice trying to find it to check in. Sign needs to be better.

We arrived a little before check-in time but they allowed us to check-in. Room was clean and spacious. Staff seemed they had a bit of shortage in areas. Pool areas were great. Only thing we did not like was the breakfast.

Wonderful family friendly stay. I would avoid the food, as it wasn’t much better than something you’d get from Dollar Tree (coffee from the coffee shop was okay). Other than that, swimming facilities were great and clean, activity well suited for young children, and the rooms were cozy and clean. They even give your kiddos a scavenger hunt to do in the room where they have to unlock a chest for “treasure” which my kiddos loved. TV Chanels didn’t match what was on the Chanel guide but, not a big deal. Overall I would stay here again!

Breakfast food was cold and had been cooked hours before. Waffle/pancake was like eating rub. Sausage was hard and overcooked. Don't go to Granny's for breakfast there!

Great place to stay! We had two 12 year olds and a 5 year old. The water park areas were clean and well monitored by staff. Everyone was friendly. The only thing I wish would change is the on site breakfast pricing. You are able to purchase breakfast passes prior to check in. You buy one adult plate for one kid plate. It should be more like a kids eat free or up to a certain amount of kids. The serving platter was huge. We had 5 in our party so $10 for the extra kid is ridiculous.the breakfast was good and convenient. Definitely will be visiting again!

We had a great time so much stuff to do just in the motel and the staff was absolutely amazing especially Mason he went above and beyond from directions to places nearby to helping me cut out pictures from our trip ... The pizza was excellent at the motel and the ice cream shop and the kids almost foundered on the popcorn

Everything was great except for breakfast!!

This stay was one of the best I have had with children. They think of everything so you don't have to. From the artsy kid to the rambunctious. Check in and out with without a hitch. The water park and pools were everything pictured plus tanning chairs for the teens. The amenities I really couldn't speak highly of. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, although I wish they offered apple juice. But that was no big deal as we brought our cups in to eat with us. Every hour on the hour, they had something fun for the kids to do for free. The coupons they give tou saved us atleast $50. Which is a blessing when you have littles. There were no hidden fees as you may expect at other places. The wristbands were an amazing idea. As they were super easy to keep up with versus a card. The staff were all super helpful and very KIND. The beds were comfortable as were the quilts. There were dreamy soft, not as you would expect. The kids bunkbeds each had their own light with USB and plugs. They made things so simple for us. They offered adult beverages which was amazing when jt came to winding down. I could rave about this hotel forever but it was truly an amazing stay. The only negative thing I do have to say is the 'cardio studio' only had 3 machines and neither of the cardio machines work. (bike or treamill) Most parents and guests probably never step foot in there so I can see why money is spent else where.
