Stores were close by if you wanted to walk and they offered delivery if you just wanted to relax. The hotel has always felt like home because it has such a relaxing feeling about it. There is a tv in the lobby along with newspapers if you wanted to just relax there instead of your room. The breakfast room may only be opened from 6 am to 9 am but you can go in there at any time to get a coffee, which I took advantage of one night when I couldn’t sleep. I walked around a bit and then got me a hot chocolate and by the time I got back to my room I was relaxed enough by then and had no trouble falling asleep. I would definitely refer anyone to come to the Sure Stay Plus if they want a relaxing and comfortable stay. I forgot to mention the pool and hot tub, both outside, which are great. The hot tub was incredible in easing my achy bones and joints. Come once and you’ll return time after time.

Clean rooms. I can tell they’ve worked hard to upgrade rooms—new furnishings, bathroom floors and shower tile. Staff was friendly. But know there is no elevator to second floor.

I love the their breakfast bar is amazing. They have everything that you could imagine available for breakfast. The rooms was quiet. The housekeeping is amazing. Five stars definitely. When I return to visit will definitely be my go to the only hiccup is that they don’t have an elevator which wasn’t an issue because we got a room two doors down on the first floor, which was perfect for my walk in those high heel shoes. highly recommended.

This location was really nice and unique. It had an outdoor pool and hot tub. The concrete stone stamping was nice. They had some historical memorabilia in the entryway. The breakfast was good as there was hot food, waffles with the State of Texas Stamp built in.

It's not a bad place to stay, I suppose. It certainly smells better than the place next door. But, the rooms don't seem all that clean. We will try another place next time we are in the area, but may find this is the best the town offers.

The hotel is very clean. Breakfast was good. Elizabet waited on us and she was extremely kind and helpful. She went above and beyond o help serve us breakfast (since we showed up a little late), and she was helpful anytime we needed anything. The room did smell a little must upon entry and felt damp but honestly I think it is just the damp atmosphere being near the ocean. The ac was cold and bed was comfy. I’d stay here again.

The woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. As for the room, it was clean yet dirty, with a few bugs and an old hand towel stuck to the wall. the towels were not adequate for larger people, and the shower/tub was small. the walls were thin so we heard the other rooms tv vibrating the walls. but overall it was an ok experiance.

Stayed for one night before our cruise out of Galveston. There was a problem with a leaky toilet. We moved to another room and the stay was very satisfactory. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet even as we had a room facing the highway. Good breakfast in the morning.

I read great reviews about this place, but, have to say I was a bit underwhelmed with the reality. For those who care, there is NO ELEVATOR to the second floor. So, for whomever is up there, you will have to carry all your bags up. The front desk woman was nice enough to help, but for someone with baggage, it's a pain. The room was a bit "tired" and neglected. Towels were thin, bedspread had holes in it, the actual blanket on the bed under the top "cover" (can't really call it a bed spread) was a thin synthetic blanket with a sheet on either side of it, and there was a big area on the wall missing paint. The bed WAS comfortable. If you ignore all that, my stay was fine, but I also didn't spend much time in the room. I was going to take pics of the bedspread and the wall, but completely forgot.

Check in was wonderful. The lady behind the desk was welcoming and you could tell she cared about people and making them comfortable during their stay. The room was nice and spacious. Everything was clean up kept. The only thing a little off was a musty smell, but it was humid outside and it wasn't overwhelmingly strong. Everything else worked great (AC, Fridge, didn't try the microwave) and was clean and comfortable. A nice place to stay when we visit family.

We were able to transfer to a handicapped room when available. Very nice. Breakfasts were satisfying and I was able to get clean towels when needed. Staff was very accommodating.

Great place great staff. I left behind an inhaler and my brother next door left my baby niece blanket and the housekeepers were honest and returned it to the front. Unfortunately we can’t go back but the honesty of them is what made us feel safe there. Thank you guys. We will be back soon .

i had looked at reviews and "brandi" had been mentioned in alot of them. i had called to make sure the rooms didnt smell bad and were ready to-go because i wanted to make it special for my spouse. Brandi had delivered excellent customer service and went out of her way to make sure we had a nice stay. rooms were comfortable and had no smell. also breakfast was amazing too.
