Staybridge Suites Round Rock by IHG

Perfect hotel if you like to find dead bugs (roaches, crickets and small bugs possibly bed bugs) all under the bed and in the closet. Elevator was out for 3 days and probably still is. We also found hair and nail clippings on the floor which is a sign they don’t do basic housekeeping like vacuuming from the previous stay. They have complimentary laundry services but only one dryer out of the 3 work. Overall this was a terrible pick.

What I found: - Roaches, Texas size, more than I want to count - Elevator with sketchy documentation making scary enough noises for me to take the stairs - So many nonworking things including outlets, lamps, kitchen equipment, clothes washer, workout equipment, too much to list - Weird smell in my room and throughout the hotel, especially bad in the fitness center - Wasps at the pool - Some staff are very nice, but overall management cares way more about money than people (and God help you if any event is happening where they are fully booked) - A constant beeping outside my door which is probably a smoke detector battery needing attention - Loud background including a train and very busy highway - Not the safest neighborhood and lacking the typical spot to put your car while you unload your stuff

The suite I stayed in had holes in wall from past shower curtains, along with other holes from wear on the walls. Needs an update on adding USB ports to the room. Also the hotel didn’t have an ice machine.

The exercise room was in very poor condition. Dumbbells were missing The elliptical didn’t work The bicycle had a broken screen The outlets on the floor were broken

Pool unavailable for a couple of days. Makes it hard when you have kids

Long wait to check in. There is no A/C in the hallways of the hotel. The elevator needs attention.. unclean and takes forever to move 3 floors.

The room smelled a lot like cigarettes, and it gave me a headache. Only one washer was working out of the four. It was very inconvenient.

Great stay. Room AC was killing it staying nice and cold! Staff very friendly. Saltwater pool was perfect temp. Rooms were clean. 2 bedroom suites are perfect for families.

The location was ok! But the room had ants bad. They were in the bathroom. In the bed. I was scrolling on my phone and one was crawling up my finger. The refrigerator door wouldn’t close the seal wasn’t working so our stuff was t cold. Finally I put a trashcan in front of it but having 2 little kids they kept moving it. We came for a week to visit my stepkids we picked this hotel cause the pool and the bbq pit. We asked upon arrival about bbq pit they stated let us know when your ready and we will turn the gas on. So we went to buy a whole bunch of meat went to grill and both grills didn’t work! Then we did laundry only one washer worked and we had to dry them for a long time for them to actually be dried!

The gym had three pieces of equipment and none of these worked. The room was very loud in the hall and in the room above us.

I arrived on a Friday afternoon entered my room and found roaches in my room when I went to notify the clerk in the front desk he said “you brought food that’s why you have roaches” (I had just arrived and the clerked blamed me..) he then gave me two cans a RAID for me to spray in the room then he sent me on my way like who does that I requested a new room he wasn’t very happy. When asked about the outside amenities his response was they don’t work when we purchased the hotel we only keep up with the pool. This was one of my worst experience in a hotel I will not be staying in this hotel again. Save your money this hotel I do not recommend!! If I could give it negative stars I would!!

My husband woke to a bug(!) crawling on him and we found roaches in the room the next morning.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Common areas—lobby, stairway, elevator—were kinda gross and dirty. Room was ok, tho the bathroom door was dirty and the place was rather beat up. It looked like the housekeeper was trying to do her best with the poorly maintained space she was given.

This hotel is absolutely vile and should be shut down. I stayed at Staybridge Suites Round Rock from 8/31–9/1 with my family, booking two rooms, and what we experienced was nothing short of revolting. The first room was muggy, dirty, and smelled putrid, with hair, stains, and even a massive blood stain on the mattress. The second room had an actual bug crawling on the bed. After complaining, we were bounced from room to room, inspecting more than seven in total, and every single one was a nightmare—filthy linens, mattresses reeking of rot, and one mattress so badly stained it literally looked like a corpse had decomposed in it. This wasn’t an isolated issue but a clear pattern of neglect and filth throughout the entire property. To make it worse, I overheard housekeeping telling the front desk, “they can’t be looking at all the rooms like that,” which proves they know exactly how disgusting this place is and are simply trying to cover it up. This is not just bad service—it’s dangerous, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. The Staybridge Suites Round Rock is a disgrace to the IHG brand, a breeding ground for disease, and an insult to anyone unfortunate enough to book here. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay in this dump.

Stains on bedding and linens. There is a huge pile of caulking around drain in tub. Completely filthy.

The hotel is very dirty. Our first room had a strong order of marijuana and food crumbs all over the place. We were moved into a different room. It didnt smell but was very dirty. There was a hole in the ceiling with aluminum foil stuffed in it. The walls had paint chipping off and overall poor condition. The walls, counters and surfaces had dirt, finger prints and food smeered throughout. I would never stay there again. If we hadnt prepaid thru expedia we wouldnt have stayed there at all.

The property and the building looks new on the outside, but it looks lot older on the inside and it’s smelly. We stayed there for three days and somebody had puked at the stairs and nobody seems to clean that up. Our room was smelly and partially renovated with paint only.

The pictures on the website is nothing like it is in person! The carpet is dirty! The mattress on the layout bed was filthy! I would not recommend anyone to stay here!

It was ok. Found two roaches crawling around.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. As soon as we entered the room we noted multiple areas with obvious pet damage. Our bed sheets were stained in multiple places. Floor were filthy.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Rooms are old and need to be updated. Stains on bath tub and old aroma to the room. Otherwise, not bad.

This property is not very clean and dated. The lock was not working properly, there were stains on the sheets and walls had guck on it. The air conditioner was loud and room smelt musty.

Stay wasn’t bad, it just didn’t stick out; very underwhelming. Couch was scratched up, they didn’t have linens for the sofa bed and the AC wasn’t the best. We only stayed one night, and got what we paid for

Hot water was not working

The pictures don’t do justice. The rooms are much nicer than the pictures showed. They are also huge!! Only one complaint the water pressure at least on the 4th floor not so good.

Bathroom tub faucet broken

Very spacious rooms, kitchenette is wonderful, and two tvs!

1st room we received had a broken a/c unit and was extremely hot. Asked for another room and the a/c unit would not go below 78 degrees and in Texas summer heat that's way too hot let alone night time trying to sleep. Shower curtain was held up with rickety screws and almost fell down several times while trying to shower. So we just left and had to book another hotel down the street rather than try a 3rd room at this place.

We got a 2 bedroom suite with the kitchen and 2 restrooms. It was for myself my sister and mom .We loved it it was so spacious . This is the second time in 7 days and I’ll be back next week!

Hotel is quiet and good for families but sofa bed is really uncomfortable.

Someone was given a key to mine and my husbands room and we were awoken at 12:36 am

Hands down the worst travel hotel experience we’ve ever had and that’s aging quite a bit since I travel for a living. We arrived on time for check-in, checked in and arrived at our room to find an entire family asleep in the beds for the room we were assigned. Went back downstairs and alerted the young woman at the front desk; no apology, no acknowledgement of the awkward situation, she wasn’t even surprised. She simply took back the key and handed us a different one. We get to the room and it’s in a sad state of disrepair; toilet doesn’t function (at all), the bathroom ceiling drips water constantly, the walls are horrifically water damaged and there is a massive hole (8 inches wide) in the middle of the bath tub that’s been patched with some kind of putty that is now moldy and cracked. We have five people in the room and we have two pillows and one sheet set. We called down for the appropriate number of bed sheets/pillows for the room and someone brings us ONE pillow and one flat sheet. We went downstairs to alert the staff of the issues as we were heading out for graduation and the my assured us they would fix the toilet and bring up sheets/pillows. We get back 6 hours later - nothing. We go downstairs and tell the staff for a THIRD time and the man at the desk says “well, we are housing tornado victims.” While admirable, not an excuse for not being able to support customers paying $200 a night. Don’t even get me started on the disaster that was breakfast. Disgusting

I was checked into a room that was occupied so they put me in another room which all the amenities didn’t work and the fridge wasn’t cleaned out.

Our family stay was during spring break. Our first vacay trip. Ms Debbie checked us in and was so friendly. Our reservation was messed up and the hotel didn't have bedding for all of us. It was ok because Ms Debbie was ready to accommodate us however she could. She made sure we were comfortable and was able to fix everything. They were short staffed and there was only so much they could do. Our room wasn't all the way cleaned and she was very apologetic. Despite not having all the help they needed, these employees were working hard. We were all over that hotel and in and out, so we saw them. Kiddos to Staybridge and Ms Debbie for a job well done. They only have 2 hands guys!!! Raise please.....

Very nice bed. Spacious. We got two rooms for the weekend. When our other party arrived the room they were assigned was not clean when they keyed in. Fortunately, the staff acted quickly to find them another suitable room. Good breakfast. Lots of pillows! YEAH

Good service

Very unsafe. The front desk lady gave us keys to three different rooms and wasn’t sure if any of them had people in them and just wanted us to go up and check. There was also people sleeping on the couch in the lobby. Very strange.

Clean, safe, convenient and good breakfast. If you want a suite, this is the choice

The property had easy access to local eateries, downtown area, plus was very polite and courteous.

The hotel was very nice for us. We took my older mom with us and had a two bedroom suite which was great for our travel needs. Very comfortable and convenient area with lots of restaurants nearby.

Great longer term hotel stay as each is a suite with a kitchen sitting room and full sized fridge and stove with a microwave. Wifi and breakfast included along with free parking. Close to the freeway and 24 hour staff on site for those late arrivals or early morning departures

The room was spotless and the beds were super comfortable. We all had a great sleep. The morning breakfast was nice too. I would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

We loved the room! We were super that the breakfast didn’t start until 7:30. We had to be gone by 7:00.

Room and bed were good. Breakfast was not good.

The first impression on check in, was visibly dirty carpet in the office. The stairs where stained and dirty as well. I did enjoy a hot breakfast.

The room was dirty , corners looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The bathroom had paint peeling and the shower did not look recently cleaned. The breakfast was also very limited and not well stocked or replenished. They ran out of outdoor towels for the pool and patio area looked unkept.

Terrible breakfast, no eggs the casserole was empty, no bacon, bread toaster doesn’t work it burns half of the bread, the waffle machine dispenser is so low that a line that you have to wait on the lo for 15 min, and the orange juice tastes only water.

Breakfast needs to be improved - no bread, or bagels available. Eggs were dry and well done

Area was fine, night staff was fantastic. Didn’t interact with day staff at all. Breakfast was subpar, nothing was restocked, couldn’t find anyone to help, etc,. Room had several cosmetic things that were bordering on falling apart. Otherwise ok stay.
