Outside doors left open 24/7. Very run down outdated property. Not clean at all. Elevator was nasty and in need of complete deep cleaning and repairs.

The elevator was dirty and no current inspection sticker.

We typically stay at LaQuintas because they are pet friendly and until recently didn’t charge additional fees for our pup. But now that they charge a $25 fee, we’ll likely be searching out other options. The Sherman location has full sized beds instead of queens, and they’re just so small. Pillows were beyond adequate, small, hard and lumpy. We didn’t have a very restful night due to the uncomfortable beds. The staff was very friendly, everything seemed very clean and breakfast was adequate. Location was perfect just off the highway. I used the text check in prior to arrival and check in when we arrived was a breeze. The clerk literally handed me my keys without even checking an ID. It sort of bothered me, but I was in a hurry so just let it go. At 10pm another guest tried to enter our room, yelling that we were in their room. Front desk came to our room asking who we were because they had no information on us and said they didn’t know anyone was in that room. It took them a while to figure it out. Lesson learned, we won’t use their pre-check in again. Decent place to stay, but since they’re now charging for pets we’ll likely stay elsewhere. No need to sleep in an uncomfortable bed, if I have to pay for my pup I might as well stay somewhere with better options.

Beware of this Wyndham/LaQuinta! The overall appearance from the highway looks nice. The closer you get, the more it becomes like lipstick on a pig. Lobby shines like a new penny. Then corridors become dirty pathways. Elevator was reminiscent of a freight box, walls were smeared and aluminum protective coating tape wasn’t even removed from last repairs. It malfunctioned once during our stay. Handicapped bathing chairs were scattered about the property outside for employees smoking breaks. Ground covered with cigarette butts. Locking side doors weren’t locked on three different days. Customer safety disregarded! Garden walkways around pool had incomplete areas allowing for trips and falls. Garden beds are either green with weeds or dirt bare. Beware that you MUST ask for daily maid service!! You must request a hairdryer!! Neither was told to us upon checkin!! We were there 5 nights. The room was cool when temp set at 65 on the window unit. The room has more lipstick. Nice at first, then the ugly shows through. Couldn’t close the dual doors to the bathroom because of the paint scraping and shaving off each door. Floor tile wasn’t cleaned after painting. Puddles and drips all over. Pencil markings on wall for accessory placement. Even though we had not requested daily maid service (for a 5 night stay) someone came in the first 4 days and left towels and little bitty bottles of shampoo and shower gel. They didn’t clean the room, the bath or take the trash.

The room smelled of old cigarettes and mildew. Various hair in the sink and bathtub. The pool was not available due to being too green both days of tge stay.

Conveniently located within walking distance to various stores. However, the swimming pool was not in working condition and the cleanliness was below standard, though I noticed efforts were being made to address this issue.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely courteous! It smelled great when I walked in. Although it’s an older hotel, you can tell that the cleanliness is maintained. The breakfast was amazing & included in the price! Eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, toast, muffins, and juices, water & coffee (with flavored creamer) were all options my family and I enjoyed! We didn’t get the chance to enjoy the pool or gym, but both areas looked well maintained. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is being renovated so there was noise in the morning but the upgrades are nice. The room was clean and roomy. The staff was nice. They offered breakfast but I’m not much of a breakfast person so I didn’t go down to check it out.

The pool was dirty had to ask someone to clean it ! Rundown room horrible bathtub stains ! Beds old lumpy ! Loud doors all morning.

This property is in a steady decline. Elevators don’t work well. Elevator bay areas smell nasty on several floors. LQ might do well to turn the place into migrant housing and let them finish the demolition of the entire property

Three different tiles in bathroom with broken, cracked, and chipped pieces. Dirty/moldy. Cracks by the ceiling and chunks of paint/drywall peeling off the walls. Threadworn sheets. Stains on carpet. Giant spider crawling up the wall behind the toilet.

We chose to not shower with the black mold in the tub area. It had a smell in the room. Glad to leave early before breakfast.

ROACHES ROACHES! Theyed sprayed but not clean after they died. I saw a hundred! AIR CONDITIONER WAS UNPLUGGED so OFF in this terrible Texas HEAT!! After no one came for an hour, I crawled under unit where ROACHES were also and plugged it in. SMOKE ALARM BEEPED and BEEPED and BEEPED and guy at desk couldnt stop it but didnt call anyone.

This was our second time staying here ad to our surprise we ended up wit multiple bed bug bites that presented themselves the day after we go home. AS a result I would not recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again.

A cockroach was in my room..I have a video...that was my last stay!!!

Sheets did not feel fresh, they still had winter sheets on beds. One of the beds blankets were full of black fuzz, the room felt humid, the bathroom floor was sticky and the carpet in the room was wet. We checked out after 30 mins of being in the room.

Hotels.com should not offer rooms at this location until they have completed their remodel. This was the dirties, smelliest, unclean hotel I have ever seen. I have purchased hotel rooms from this site for almost 10 years, and this was the nastiest hotel I have never been to. I would like my money back for this stay.

Front desk and service at this property was friendly and helpful but many things about this property and the cleanliness of the rooms and property are lacking. There are some attempts to renovate, but it just doesn’t compensate for the employees standing around complaining and smoking and the general lack of cleanliness around the property and the rooms. Bathroom smelled of urine very strong, hair all over shower walls that wasn’t cleaned. I would not return to stay here and am surprised at the good reviews.

The floor of my room had multiple sticky spots, especially between the beds and the floor was carpeted, mind you. I can't recall bugs (roaches) ever being an issue in hotel rooms that I have stayed in previously, but I can't say that now. The first night of my stay there was one in the bathroom, and I squashed/flushed it without much thought. The second night I had one crawl on my leg while I was reading in bed and another one crawl across my phone charger that was sitting on the nightstand. Roach number four was seen crawling on the wall behind the dresser/refrigerator on the morning I checked out. Door card readers/locks were wonky and didn't instill a lot of confidence that they would work as intended. The front staff seems to know this and provide "tips" to try to unlock/open my room door.

The bathroom doors would not shut completely. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom, while clean, was not in the best condition. The tub did not drain quick enough so even a 5 minute shower left you standing in water. Lastly, I was not provided a do not disturb sign in the room and housekeeping relentlessly banged on the door at 8am. Will not be staying here again.

Was a pretty good experience. Was presenting at the school's there for the week. Was very quiet. The staff had smiles on their faces and were very helpful. The only concerns I had were that the room door had a hard time closing and the toilet was loud. The rest was great.

It is finr for a night or so.. you can hear other people in the halls and in the rooms. Ac is ok. Not great. Does not get cold cold.

Under construction. Room still had painter tape. TV didn’t work and front desk couldn’t help. Handle on shower came off. Toilet was used and not flush. Floors dirty

Room 229 needs the key lock replaced. My key card worked perfectly for exterior doors. Had to keep inserting my card in the room lock to the point it frustrated me 😂

We booked one of the most affordable hotels we could fine. We spent our days at my grandparents and this was just a place to sleep. It's older, showing some wear and tear, but was clean and the staff was friendly.

Had to change rooms 3 times bc the tv didn’t work. Front desk was super helpful but said maintenance was already gone.

I arrived after the 3 PM check-in time and was told our room wasn’t ready yet, and that no handicap-accessible rooms were available - even though I had reserved one. They said it would be about 20 minutes, so I left and came back. When I returned, the room was ready — or so I thought. I walked in and found that it was already occupied. I had to go back to the front desk and was given a different room. This one, luckily, wasn’t occupied, but it wasn’t clean either. The coffee pot had mold inside, and the light switch looked like it had mold on it too. After complaining at checkout, the manager did call at the end of his shift, but I unfortunately missed it. He left a VM stating he will call me back tomorrow and hopefully this situation can be fixed. Overall, it was a pretty frustrating and uncomfortable experience.

Very disappointed with slow response to noise ruckus at 2:00 am. Finally resolved by police at 4:00 am

we arrived a midnight, no one was on duty, we called the front desk, no one answered, we stood in the lobby and listened to the phone ring for 10 minutes. we went to all the doors for offices and knocked, and no one answered, finally we had to go to another hotel, I want my money back from this reservation.

Traveling in from out of State...got a call from the hotel when about 20 miles away...they had to cancel my reservation due to being overbooked. Needless to say..put me in a predicament.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There was some remodeling being done but it never interfered with our stay nor was it loud or bothersome. Thank you for making our stay that much more enjoyable.

Front desk lady could’ve been friendlier and more attentive. She had her headphones in and was watching a show on her cell phone. Seemed bothered to have to check me in. Said very few words to me at all.

This is a nice hotel that’s conveniently located right off HWY 75. We were in handling some business and were happy that our bed was really comfortable, room was very clean and staff were all very friendly!

Staff was very nice and check in was easy I was concerned about staying here because the outside of the hotel needs attention and there were a lot of people gathered in the parking lot drinking. The lobby area and hallways looked dirty but when I went into my room it was very clean and I slept well

Very old, carpet is badly stained not only in the rooms but all the hallways. I wouldnt walk around the room bare footed. Walls are dirty and very worn. Elevators sound and look like they are on their last leg. Has a very bad smell in rooms and lobby. Swimming pool was not open, even though it was 101 degrees outside. Bathroom was horrible! When we pulled into the hotel parking lot, it looked like we were pulling up to a thug party. Loiters all around. Couldn't use the front entrance due to construction, had to use the side entrance which was never locked. No key card was needed to enter the building. We went out with friends sat night, got back to the hotel around 1. Door to side entrance was unlocked. No security of any kind around. Felt very unsafe!!

I was just traveling through. The staff was nice, easy check-in, front lot parking, right off the hwy. The bed was comfortable, room was LARGE and clean.

The facility is not far from Oklahoma and for the property, it was clean and neat. The breakfast was good and the people there were friendly.

Nice older hotel. Not as clean as it should be. Clerks were amazing. Breakfast not as a good as most La Quinta Hotels.

I liked the breakfast. The rooms were clean but the carpets have seen some days.

We just had a one night stay. It's an older property, signs of wear and tear everywhere, but they keep the entire place very clean. The room was just fine, great beds. Good breakfast, 4 different brews of coffee to choose from. Nice touch. Great value. Will stay there in the future when we visit family in Sherman.
