Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sherman Highway 75 by IHG

Check in was good, but the elevators were not working. Some ice machines were broken. Good selection for breakfast, but hot food was no hot at all. Room was clean, but bathroom needs a little repair.

The reason we stayed was for the pool and hot tub and it was closed my kids was not happy

This hotel is in desperate need of maintenance and cleaning. The elevator was out of order. Ice machines were out of order. Fan switch in bathroom was falling apart. Chair in room had dirty arm rests.

The elevator was broken. The shower was covered in mold and the shower head was clogged and barely let water out. The bathroom floor was broken and cracked tile. Very poor maintenance overall

The security doors were never locked except the one into our room. The shower in our room didnt work properly. The mattress was extremely hard. The staff was very friendly and helpful but it does not make up for the fact that this hotel was not worth the price we paid to stay there and will never stay there again.

Hotel is getting remodeled. No worries there. Elevator broken. Bed was very bouncy/springy. Needs to be replaced.

They advertised a Jacuzzi. Cold as ice! Ruined our evening with grandchildren! Thanks

This property is old and needs remodeling. There is soft spots in the wall in the bath. Mold on the soap dish in the shower. The pool is closed for repairs so there are no amenities.

For the price we paid: The elevator wasn't working and we were on the 3 rd floor. The side door wouldn't open with a key to get in near our stairwell. The rooms were clean but tile in the bathroom was loose and mold in the cocking of the bathroom. The stairwells were dusty and dirty carpets.

These hotel has dirty hair in beds sofa sleepers broke, pee all around the commode, black mold in the tubs, and the room stunk every disappointed

Staff was pleasant but facility needs some maintenance. Shower faucet coming off wall, killed roach in bathroom and most importantly the door did not lock.

Mold surrounded the bathtub, the fold out bed spring was broken and falling through the frame. Smell of odor in room from mold and doors would not close. Overall felt unsafe and not what I expect at a holiday inn express. Very disappointed

The facilities were dirty and run down. Maintenance and upkeep was bad. Broken and loose tiles in the bathroom and paint smudges throughout the room. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Let me preface by saying that upon arrive I should have turned around and never looked back seeing as how their was parts missing from the sign on the front of the building in addition to the sketchy area it was in… Upon entering the parking lot there were several sketchy men scattered about sitting in vehicles, as well as standing around the building in dark corners. All of these men were in phones and just looked ominous and the whole environment felt unsafe. Per usual and against better judgement, I proceeded to check in. Once inside my room and before I had time to put my things down, there were baby cockroaches crawling about the tables as well as dead ones smushes on the walls throughout the room. When reporting it, the person at the front desk just put that we saw a bug, and never recorded the extent of what was in the room. I wondered if they had just prayed for bugs considering the whole place smelled like some type of chemical. We were moved upstairs where the room keys wouldn’t work, and got stuck on the elevator on the way back down to request a refund so we could leave. Regarding cleanliness, there was mysterious stains of fluids that had dripped on the carpet at some point throughout the whole building. Not to mention that the price was what I consider to be high given that non of the advertised amenities were available. In a nutshell, trust your instincts and don’t proceed when there are clear signs you shouldn’t.

This property was very old and had a very bad odor to it. Also, I booked two rooms at the same time and they were on two different floors. My son saw a cockroach come out of the drink dispenser at breakfast. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Property in very poor shape. I stayed in room 137. A/C did not work properly, wires were hanging down from it on bottom. Black mold in bathtub caulking and around tub. In bathroom, there were holes in wall where drywall had rotted out. Grounds were unkept and dumpster enclosure wide open for the 3 days I was there. In addition, the price of the room per night was one of the highest in Sherman. This is not typical of a Holiday Inn Express who usually maintains good standards.

The facility wasn’t ready when we tried to check in at 3:30. The sleeper sofa was broken and was unusable and only for a single occupant. The suite was listed to sleep 7 but could only accommodate 4.

We’ve always been happy with our stays at holiday inn express. I don’t like to complain, but we did have a couple of things to bring up. My bro-in-law had a frig that made awful sound when compressor was running so we unplugged the refrigerator. Our bathroom floor needed some repair with grouting and we found a long dark hair on tub. ( our hair is grey/white). Please add USB ports to rooms. This establishment is under some updating/ construction, but was not a bother to us. My bil loved the fresh early morning breakfast. We would stay again. Hopefully more room options will be available soon. Didn’t really need a suite.

The staff qas friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and warm. They room was updated and very spacious.

This is an older hotel in need of repair! The bathroom floor tile lacked grout, the AC never cooled our room enough to sleep comfortably! The elevator made loud popping noises making you wish you had taken the stairs. On a positive note, the young man at the front desk was a positive joy!

AC/heater did not work very well so we experienced swings from too warm to too cold. Otherwise our stay was good.

Employees were great and friendly. Property itself is showing it's age. Shower had little water pressure, light above bathroom mirror was coming apart, tile in bathroom was very uneven and coming apart and the shower was very mildewy. Almost fell in the shower as the traction strips in the tub are worn beyond usefulness. Breakfast was good.

Property was having construction, and our room was dirty and stains on all furniture. The pull out bed was held together with duct tape. Beds seemed clean and it was a quick trip overnighter so we stayed.

The couch in the suite was broken (didn't pull out), the showerhead was broken, front desk was quite rude/impolite at check in, staff was rude about stocking breakfast items.

Staff was amazing and so so nice. Room had clean bedding and bathroom was clean. Carpets need to be cleaned and there is construction in the building. The pull out couch was broken and a/c was broken in first room. They did move us and were quick with help.

I called to confirm my reservation, and later that morning they called me back to let me know my room was ready and I could check in early at no additional charge. Didn’t even ask them to do that! Excellent customer service!

Hotel.com advertises suite with 2queen beds and 1 double sofa bed a room that sleeps 7. This hotel DOES NOT! Have double sofa bed in a room. It is a TWIN SOFA BED. It sleeps 5 There was no manager on duty at the time of my arrival. I had to speak to front desk manager over the phone. She was pleasant and apologized all they could offer was a roller away bed be brought in or charge me for another room if available. The 2 front desk reps that were there; 1 tried her best to be pleasant and helpful the other was rude and combative talked over me even while on phone with manager. The next morning At check out I asked for my receipt, the manager made herself known to me. She Apologized gave me $45 credit to my credit card says my reservation was through Expedia as I showed her I used hotels.com. She apologized for the 2 front clerks behavior from the night and stated that other issues going on that night lead to their poor customer service that had nothing to do with my situation. I let her know that was unfortunate and I thanked her for the credit and her time.

Loud location. Room was clean and inviting. Bathroom floors were cracked and tile’s loose. The pool room was relaxing. Breakfast was fun for our little one.

Easy to find

Difficult to walk safely to a restaurant. Ventilation system very noisy. Nice breakfast.

Area was quiet. Hotel was older. Lobby smelled musty. Bathroom calking around tub was ugly. I expected better from Holiday Inn.

The property location was great, but this property has not been properly maintained and it is time to update the the rooms. Also, we experienced alot of noise from the room above us nightly and it was hard to rest. We contacted the front desk and I'm assuming they contacted the other guest, so the noise was down for the first night, but every night we experienced kids jumping up and down. So we didn't get much rest and on our trip. We were up visiting ailing family and it would have been nice to have the elevator and ice machine working. We chose this facility oppose to our usual and based on the brand we look for better. Just time to update the units furniture and bedding. Also, need to improve the lighting around the facility due to duck off view of the hotel.

My stay was about like any typical stay in a Holiday Inn. It's a nice clean, comfortable, and affordable room.

This Holiday Express is old & dated, in poor condition and awful compared to the very nice hotels around it. We've stayed only with Holiday Express for decades while traveling nationwide, business & pleasure. This place is a dump. The bkfast food was not even edible. Furnishings are old, bathroom shower & tub faucet did not work, linens old. Water all over floor to the elevator & elevator was all wet; ice machines were out of service. The LaQuinta next door is being gutted & remodeled. This Holiday Inn hotel should be as well.

Do not stay at this hotel. There is no A.C. in the halls or pool. The heat was unbearable. Breakfast took 20 minutes for food to be made. The sleeper sofa in the room was severely broken and I had to wait for 45 minutes for a roll away bed. It is also being renovated, which they won't tell you before your stay. Also, i was charged twice!!

Kerig coffee pot was dirty, refrigerator didn’t work and smelled horrible..cinnamon rolls were severely overcooked or leftovers from day before..didnt try anything else.
