Travelodge by Wyndham Cedar City

The hotel is fine if you just need a place to sleep. Nothing fancy. At 9:30 AM, housekeeping knocked to see if I’d left yet—even though checkout isn’t until 11. The man seemed a little annoyed I was still there, clearly eager to clean the room. Ice machine was broken, but they had ice at the front desk. Basic, no-frills stay.

I had a fantastic room with jacuzzi tub! Pool was very clean, the room was very clean, the staff were great.

The room was adequate and sufficiently clean, although it could have used a detailing. The woman at the front desk was very nice. The icemaker was broken and you had to go to the front desk to get a little bit of ice. There were no ice buckets in the rooms, so the ice was put in a thin plastic bag. The freezer portion of the refrigerator was caked with ice, but we were able to squeeze in our ice packs. The safe in the room was locked and couldn’t be opened. I feel like they tried to do their best to make the rooms clean and comfortable, given that it is an old property. The blinds on the windows worked well. The property itself, on the outside, looks dingy. The blacktop is cracked with weeds growing out of the cracks. The swimming pool is uninviting. The motel itself is located at the north end of Cedar City In an isolated area next to a rundown church or restaurant and industrial buildings including an old tire storage area. There is no common area to sit and it is not a location where you would want to take a walk. You need to drive to all activities.

The TV did not work. We were comfortable and felt safe with. Liked to be able to park next to my room.

Nothing like the pictures they have on their page. 1.the check in the person there toll us they don't allow forr or drinks inside, 2. we got to the parking lot and looked abandoned and the balcony to walk to the rooms looked broken like they were going to fall if you walk on it, 3. the room smelled like wet rugs, 4. there was some tipe of bugs because our legs were full of bites like ant bites but we didn't find any visible bugs, 5. the room had fridge and microwave so it didn't make sense that they told us no food or drinks inside, 6. They drain every time we used the sink or shower smelled really bad, 7. We unplugged the alarm clock because even when it was off it was making all this creepy sounds, 8. The pool was closed and all green. So overall nothing like the pictures.

The pool was green and this area pretty much was a trucker area. I definitely would not recommend

It gets you threw the night. No issued popped up. Only issue is the ice machine needs to be fixed

This was the cheapest place with decent recent reviews for a last minute Saturday night stay in Cedar City. Lady at check in was great. Bed was fine, room was clean, so no complaints. The ice machine was broken. When I asked the guy at the desk the next morning if there was another one, he said, "No," and then just stood there looking at me like it was reasonable not to have a back up for a machine with an old sign on it warning not to plug it in--kind of a clue it didn\'t die yesterday. But, as I mentioned before, it was relatively cheap, and for saving the additional $50 a nicer hotel would have cost me, I figure I can go buy a bag of ice.

The pool is permanently CLOSED, the room stunk like old tobacco. The carpets are stained the tub is stained black

Everything was old, but it was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the shower nice. Nothing special for soap, shampoo, etc., but sufficient. I swam in the pool, which wasn't really inviting, but it was clean and refreshing. Just old, no nice landscaping, just dirt and gravel. Okay for a quick night of sleep.

There was black long hair on sink area and in bathroom. The bed was comfy. The pool was super cold and could use a update.

The Room was dirty. The floor looked as if it wasn’t swept or mopped. The toilet seat was about to fall off. Room has a hot tub in it that had hair and dirt in it. When plugging in phone charger behind nightstand discovered chips on the floor that were covered in dirt. Plus upon check in the lady at the front said I had to pay a 50 dollar deposit due to paying on line. If this room was refundable I would’ve went somewhere else.

I visited Cedar City to attend an 8pm Shakespeare Festival play the same day I checked in which was fabulous!! I will be back for another. When checking in I asked for a ground floor unit. I was told there was nothing available. My unit was on the second floor. The number of cars in the parking lot at 11:30 pm after the play and 7 am the next morning was 5. Also when checking in I let the male rep know that I didn't feel safe considering the surrounding industrial area, gas station, freeway so close, and a car parts/ car repair place with numerous cars parked in and around this business. Also in the Travelodge Wyndham parking lot there was a vehicle with a broken windshield. My room 204 was dirty, the carpet, the sink, and the bathroom flooring !! The vinyl flooring was missing a big chunk of flooring next to the tub. The shower curtain was also dirty. The tub/shower was dated and yellow. I wore flipflops in the shower and for walking around the room. Lots of holes in the wall and door, missing hook on back of bathroom door and probably missing pictures from wall in sleeping area. And there were flies.. I killed most of them. I reported them to the motel rep, but he didn't seem to know what to do. I did not stay the second night that I paid for. Some of the reviews are very complimentary so some of the units must be clean. Outdated is one thing, dirty is another. I can do outdated. I can't do dirty. It gives me no pleasure to give such a bad review.

Very clean. Nice bed. I was a little worried when I read the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised.

The staff was nice but the rooms floor was absolutely filthy! We had to wear shoes anytime we were out of our beds. They tried to make the place look nice but couldn’t get over the fact of the dirty floors and wondering what else was that filthy!!

This place was filthy! There was tons of hair in the tub and in the beds! The soap in the tub was a used bar with hair on it! The room looked like it had never been cleaned! When we complained and asked for the rest of the days we had paid for to be refunded they we rude and kicked us off the property!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

The tv didn't work with remote. Only 1 chair. Floor tile grout filthy. Only one handtowel supplied. Door safety latch didnt work. Carpet freyed and dirty. Will never book a travel lodge again.

Hotel floor was not clean. Walked in and the dog hair was flying everywhere. Large chunks of hair. No toilet paper, had to call to get some.

Some what clean but run down in dire need of a makeover The bathroom in particular was dirty, the tub was awful and the flooring was lifting up everywhere. There were many large ‘picture holes’ in the walls. No coffee in room or service during the night.

Easy to get to. The room had peeling paint in places, window had no screen. Heater/AC unit only blew cold air even when it was in the heat mode and set at 74-75 degrees.

The room has a Moldy smell. Valuable Safe Door would not close, so it is a tripping hazard. Phone in the room didn't work, found out it was unplugged along with the alarm clock. Has new Granite Table Tops and none of them are attached to the Tables and the Granite Table Top on the Computer Desk is on backwards so the front edge is very rough and sharp and can cut somebody, neefs to be rotated 180 degrees. The Freezer in the Refrigerator needs to be defrosted. This was all in Room #107.

Loose outlets provide unreliable current. No coffee pot in rooms. Worn carpet.

A lot of easy to fix items not repaired. Large holes in bath linoleum. Exterior dirty around perimeter. Freeway signage not lit. Very old property. But the price was good

The rooms were comfortable, even though they were small. The room we were in was 'remodeled' but I would say it probably was more of a face lift. I would recommend a rug by the door to the room. The floors are LVP and water was tracked everywhere (it was december with snow when we stayed.) Overall, I think we would stay there again. The price was okay for what we got in amenities.

The room was very heavily dosed with carpet cleaner smell. Not all the towels were clean. The bed was saggy in the middle, like a canoe. The ice machine was broken and the coffee was terrible. Not the worst place I've stayed but I'm not staying there again.

We stayed in a remodeled room. Beds and linen had not been updated. Location was out by itself with no restaurants near. New TV was not programmed. but great TV. Ice machine was out of order.

I understand you get what you pay for, but not only was the location a little sketchy but the staff was incredibly rude. Rude over the phone when asking questions about an early check-in a week before, and rude in person when we showed up for our APPROVED early check in. We would’ve probably stayed here even with the issue we faced when we showed up but the staff’s attitude killed it for us. We left and got a different hotel.

This Travelodge hotel is a basic, no-frills establishment. However, the staff, particularly Lynn, provided exceptional service. Promptly addressed our concerns and offered practical solutions. Her customer service skills are exemplary. The hotel's location is clean and quiet, with freshly brewed coffee available every morning.

You get what you pay for! we just stopped for a night on our way north. staff super nice and willing to accomodate us is a short notice the guy was 10/10. room needs a little more in the cleaning ness of the floors.

No one at front desk and had to wait for clerk to arrive after calling his phone. Low budget so condition not unexpected.

I booked a 2 queen bed room on expedia. When I arrived the desk person said it was a 1 queen bed room and up charged me $11 or $12 dollars. This is bait and switch.

Front desk clerk was amazingly helpful and even came to help us figure out the TV. Great price and location for a quick stay. They were even great to accommodate my dog!

I had some issues and spoke with Lynn. She was extreamly helpful and helped me in so many ways. I originally said the hotel didnt ean much from me....but after talkingnwith lynn, this hotel is a 5 star hotel.

It took forever to check in. She blamed the computers constantly being slow. She asked inappropriate questions. It was embarrassing as my son was present. I try to keep a low profile. The location was hard to find and not a nice area whatsoever. There was gravel, pavement and old automotive buisnesses surrounding it. The rooms were okay. There was so little room between the bed & the door, my big toe was "scalped" by the door. Never again.

We were told they required our vehicle license plate number on file to "send to a collections agent of you damage our property" after having already payed a deposit and having put a card on file. When I stated that I wasn't comfortable providing that information to be used that way i was told to leave. Now the GM, who told me this, is refusing to refund or help simply cancel the reservation for the following days. Also, told me i was "shady" for not wanting to provide such a weird request. 0 out of 0 stars dont stay here.

The rooms inside look exactly like this picture and that was the best part. The motel itself outside has been freshly painted but the surrounding area is not well kept run down and dirty. The website said coffe/tea in room but no coffee maker? I've always had coffee makers in room. Also ice maker was broken and the pool was really old as well and not upgraded. Air Conditioner in unit was really loud and that's why I left at 4:00 AM!

Area was very dark for late night arrival. Surrounding area abandoned and trashed.

It was clean, quiet and convenient ly located off the interstate, will definitely stay on our next trip to Colorado

This was alright for what we needed (traveling as a family of 4 with 2 parents & 2 young adult children). The facilities were fine, the room was clean enough, and the staff were kind. However, the area around the property is definitely not very nice or clean, since it’s next to the freeway. We didn’t really mind, since we just needed the room for a night while on a road trip. But don’t stay here for views. The room itself is nicely quiet except for the air conditioner, but you can adjust it. The ice machine wasn’t working when we were there. Other than that, all was well enough.

Breakfast does not exist, There is false advertisement, there is no breakfast, the hot tube has a malfunction, the pool is in the middle of the parking lot, next to a mecanicshop Ice machine it was out of order for weeks, the bedding smell like Throw up it did not had a fresh smell, the hotel sorrundings was a junk yard, mecanic shop, desolate area. Some of lights in the room were not working. The hotel was That's dirty and poorly maintain, my personal opinion This is a SCAM for the price. I count get coffee in the way at when i checked in

No coffee in room but after 8 oclock you could go to front office and get a cup. Problem is we are already gone from motel. Want to take a bath can't there is no stopper to plug the drain. Need an extra luggage stand can't get one. Need ice not available. Want to check out before 8 office not open.

Front desk staff was easy to work with and very engaging. The staff told us about the dining in the area. The room was very clean and comfortable. The price was great and they were pet friendly. Next time we travel we will definitely check in with Travelodge again.

Online it says they have an indoor pool and serve breakfast but neither are true. That should be undated. Apart from that is a good place to stay for the price. Clean and close to the freeway. Good place if you plan on not spending a lot of time in the room.
