Wingate by Wyndham Cedar City

Check in was super easy . Breakfast was great and there was options around the hotel for dinner / a Walmart to get a few things we needed . This was only a one night stay . The room needed cleaned better the shower curtain has stuff on it . The hot tub needs cleaned looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in months . We book hotels that have pools and hot tub to enjoy . The air conditioner is old and didn’t work well . We were already settled in and didn’t ask to be moved but I do believe they would have moved us . For price and breakfast not a bad hotel.

First time staying at a Wyndham property. Had to open door by slamming shoulder into it. TV remote had no battery cover. Batteries kept falling out. Towels were so frayed they'd qualify as rags. Key wouldn't work on fitness center. Took desk clerk 2-3 minutes to open with master key. 🙄 Breakfast was very low quality and in too small of an area. Needs extensive renovations,such as screws missing from toilet seat. Sad.

The pool and hot tub tile need cleaning. Especially the hot tub tile which had not been cleaned in a visibly long time.

Liked the location, great hot breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, liked the pillows, the arrangement of the room with a nice sofa and table. Good frig and microwave and comfy king-sized bed.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Zion National Park, and overall had a good experience. It seems the property was converted from a local inn to a Wingate by Wyndham, which explains a few differences, most noticeably, the hotel didn’t have an elevator. We’ve stayed at other Wingate hotels before, so this felt a bit unusual, but not a major issue if your room is on the 1st floor. The receptionist was polite and made the check-in process smooth. Our room was clean and spotless, including the bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. The towels were slightly worn and a bit torn, but they were clean, so it wasn’t a big concern. Breakfast was consistent with what we expect from Wingate/Wyndham; good variety and well prepared. Parking was conveniently close to our room, which made loading and unloading easy. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay with great proximity to Zion.

Excellent indoor pool and hot tub. Quiet, clean and affordable. I would stay here again.

An older motel style that needs immediate updates. Breakfast was typical hotel continental style. Beds were ok. Room was dated and smelly. Felt like they use a tone of air freshener to hide ancient smells. Hot tub was Luke warm. Pool and hot tub area needs repairs and upgrades to surfaces. I was expecting more. Photos don’t tell the entire story.

The pool was great. The hot tub was not hot at all. Breakfast was good. Great bed.

Expedia listing does not tell you this is a motel. All rooms have doors to outside. Towels were threadbare. ‘Soundproof’ room is not true. Staff was grudging with breakfast food. No elevator.

Room was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, only issue was the hot tub, water was dirty, they eventually shut it down and left it out of order for the rest of the weekend, instead of cleaning and refilling.

Paid for a hot tub room but couldn’t use it because it was filthy, soap scum around the whole tub. Shower was terrible. The vent for the air conditioner looked like it’s never been cleaned. Outside our room by the door looks like someone puked, halls were all dirty and stained, pool had dirt on the bottom, and someone left there eyelashes next to the pool. I would not recommend this place

They hotel was dirty all around. The power did not work on one wall. Could not use light for desk . The microwave would not work. There was garbage in the closet. Overflowing trash cans around property. bath tub was dirty / shower was dirty . Cigarette butts all around outside of property. Picture on Expedia looked nothing like the actual property .I travel a lot for work and this was the worst hotel I've stayed at in a long time The lobby concessions were out. The list goes on and on. Everything was worn out and unkept. This is the first bad review I've ever written about any place I've ever been, but I thought someone should know.

Clean, quiet, updated room. Comfortable bed perfect spot to stop for a good nights rest on a long road trip.

The heater was broken in the winter, so we froze. There were ants on the floor. Our key cards stopped working 3-4 hours before checkout. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The room was not very clean , hair in tub , old glove on chair , no toilet paper in bathroom , food was less than desirable.

It was dirty. Hallways, bathroom, pool, windows, etc. very worn carpet. No coffee in the morning breakfast area because it was “frozen”. Really? Breakfast lacked fresh fruit, breads, & even no OJ.

Worse hotel ever! Total dump! Old and worn down - room was dirty and many things were broken. Breakfast was unsanitary open and uncovered food. Office center broken, coffee pot broken, room TV works off cable box and front desk had to come to room to manually reset to make it work.

There were stains on the sheets and hair in the shower.

There was food in the fridge from a previous guest.

Frankly the room was dirty enough and had a bad chemical smell that we didn't even move in the room. Instead, we asked to be transferred to the La Quinta, also owned by Windham. But because we booked on an outside source, they wouldn't transfer us, so we just lost the money and went to another hotel. I'd say we are a bit picky, but I would have slept in the car first if need be.

The room darkening curtain kept the room nice and dark. The temperature control was good. It’s a very nice hotel.

our hotel room at Wyngate was fine. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the refrigerator in the room was very very noisy. I heard it multiple times in the night. My husband said it was out of balance. He tried to put some cups in next to it to try to balance it, which seemed to help but didn’t last.

The room was the best part of my stay, but had partiers above that kept me up most of the night.

Breakfast was good. Although it was a non-smoking property, you could still smell stale smoke in my room. Sheets were clean.

Late check in from driving many hours. Bed & pillows were comfortable and temperature well regulated. Clean room and efficient at front desk. Sound proof room not exactly accurate... I've not seen that on a description before, so the BF had high expectations and we actually could hear the neighbors muffled tv all night. It was okay with me but I must've slept better that night.

The room we stayed in was in need of repair. However, it looked like the room had been repaired and re-repaired multiple times already. There were several holes in the bathroom door where a towel hanger once hung (in multiple locations). And the same goes for the shower curtain rod. The vent in the bathroom was falling out of the ceiling. Baseboards were swollen and warped from years of water absorption and repainting. The bed sheets were all clean and nice although the beds themselves were much too hard for my liking.

The housekeeping was great and our room felt clean and comfortable, however, the room was extremely small. With the two beds, TV, chair, desk, it felt super cramped. We weren't there to hang out in the room, so that was fine and not something that could be changed. The pool was okay, but very old and not super clean. There were a lot of little things that just showed the age of the building or things that needed upgrading or fixing. There was a massive gap under the door that not only let in the cold air at night, but the room was not soundproofed at all. Usually I expect some muffled sounds, doors opening and closing or walking, but we could hear everything! No fault to the hotel, but there was one night were some other guests were up until 2am talking, laughing, screaming, running, going in an out, and we could hear EVERYTHING. Normally I wouldn't care because people are allowed to hang out and they were probably not being that loud, but with the gap in the door, we could hear it all.

The room size was adequate and the bed was comfy. Temp control was good and not too loud. The small breakfast buffet was better than average…it was GOOD. Smaller amounts of food in the serving trays but never ran out…and food kept coming out of the kitchen. The food was HOT and fresh. It was good.

Rooms were clean and housekeeping was good but the hotel itself is pretty worn out. could really use some updating.

WiFi didn't reach our first assigned room. The staff graciously moved us to a room closer to the office.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a delicious smell. Great place to stay when you're visiting family in another state.

All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast staff kept the food out a while longer when we overslept and arrived just before the scheduled end time.

Booked Sunday-Sunday. Tuesday I thought I might have to cut my trip short for family reasons. I immediately checked with Expedia who I booked the room through and they called the desk. They were told I would be able to check out early whenever and receive a refund for the unused nights. When I knew I would be leaving Friday I called Wednesday night to let them know (Through Expedia) no manager was on duty to approve the refund so I called back Thursday first thing. They were no longer willing to refund the remainder of my trip for checking out early. Which I still did. The staff was also incredibly rude about it when I went to the desk directly. It seemed no one had any idea what was going on. Expedia was great throughout this process but the staff at the hotel is made up of children (age wise) who have no idea what they are doing. The room was also fairly dirty with some hair in the bathtub but mostly the wall and doors were absolutely disgusting like they had never been cleaned. I made sure to let them know the first night I was there requesting housekeeping take care of it the next day. It looked like they tried but they were so stained most of it wouldn't come off. Mostly I am must salty about being lied to that I would receive a refund if I checked out early but don't let the photos fool you. There are definitely nicer and probably cheaper options nearby. Even the windows to the pool area looked like they hasn't been cleaned in months. The Breakfast was also very subpar.

Our stay started off with the friendly greeting from Bailey. She arranged for us to have a bottom floor due to my husband’s limitations. ALL the staff greeted guests with a hello and how was our stay. The breakfast was VERY good and eating area well maintained. This property is in the midst of refurb so leave some room for understanding if all is not perfect. I would like to suggest that a bath mat or ruffing up the tub bottom be considered as it was very slippery for us oldies.

the receptionist had an attitude she is not friendly at all, it kinda ruined the excitement of experiencing this hotel

Great Staff, rooms were clean, updated, nice breakfast too! How I rate a room is based on if there is good shower pressure and if the shower drains very well- Wingate by Wyndham Cedar City did not disappoint!!! SUPER PRESSURE, shower drained. Will Stay Again

Great for an inexpensive quick stay to visit our son at SUU. Clean and close to all.

The hotel was easy to find. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The main road was directly in front of the hotel with quite a bit of traffic so it was a little bit noisy but it was expected due to the location.

The place is great near Zions park

Overall a great stay. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Close to the freeway so easy to access and get to the area’s multiple attractions. The hotel was going through some painting and renovations. That was no problem and good to see. I’ve stayed in other Wingate hotels and they’re a little more upmarket but this one was very well priced, had everything I needed and I’d certainly stay there again.

Great hotel right on the main street in town. It's a motel not a hotel (doors open to the outside parking lot, but this city is so cute and safe looking that we never felt unsafe.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is close to gas, car wash, shopping, dining and super easy access to I-15. It's a quick 5 minute drive to SUU campus and the Shakespeare Festival. Breakfast every morning was well-stocked. Thank you!

Three night stay. No morning coffee at breakfast first day, coffee maker was broken but fixed by next day. Breakfast warmer was also out of order but staff improvised with crockpot! Overall a comfortable stay.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, but is in poor condition on the inside. The worst for us was the breakfast. They advertise "Hot Fresh Breakfast" outside on the sign, but the breakfast was literally sitting in Walmart Crockpots next to a broken food heating system. There were people waiting 20 minutes for the crockpots to be refilled. It was embarrassing for the hotel how sad the breakfast was. The juice dispenser was dispensing juice not in the correct label. There were doors throughout the hotel that were not latching properly, such as the workout room. The pool was also not in good repair. It appeared that a homeless person was using the laundry facilities during the day. We will not be staying here again and we will not recommend this hotel.

Check in was great, room was great, hot tub was nice because I was able to do some therapy on an injury, although it was pretty messy with towels scattered everywhere. Price was great. Breakfast was a very poor experience, because at the time I was there a lot of things were waiting to be replaced.
