Quality Inn Cedar City - University Area

Easy access to freeway and restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were clean, plenty of parking, indoor pool and pets allowed.

Hot tub broke, very noisy after hours. Could not stay 2nd night and staff very uncooperative. Manager not available .Never received a refund .

This got far better reviews than it deserved. The pool was the main reason we went there and the heater wasn't working, so it was ice cold. The hot tub and eoom it was in was so scuzzy and dirty. Green powder all over the hot tub and small pieces of copper wire. One towel for all of us, in the pool and the room. Room was dusty and dated with red die or blood on the sheets. I wish I could get my money back. Recommend to remodel, clean more often, and restock towels.

Great hot tub

The room was ok. Style looks like it was built in the 60's or 70's. The bed was ok and the room was clean*. The manager first put us in an uncleaned room. Our second room was clean. The manager tried to move another couple in our room the next day. We were there 3 days and they never cleaned up the pool area, used towels thrown everywhere no fresh towels to use.

Upon checking in, had to wait for staff to get done with their conversation with coworkers. When entering the room, the fridge was not working when calling the front desk. They told me that the maintenance guy was gone and that I would have to wait. I purposely get hotels with fridges for my insulin. Had to go get ice. The ice room was disgusting. The same trash was in there for two nights and three days, the hot tub was green.

The room was actually fine as far as cleanliness and condition overall. It didn't smell like it had ever been smoked in which we appreciated. The toilet valve leaked and would run 24/7 if you don't jiggle the handle. One of the wall lightbulbs was burned out or the switch didn't work. Two towels for a room with 2 queen beds is inadequate. There was no conditioner, just shampoo and lotion. These are all minor complaints. The hot tub and pool area were smelly and in poor condition. The jets in the hot tub didn't function. It smelled like a septic tank. The maintenance door was standing open, but apparently the maintenance guy doesn't actually do much. The toilet near the hot tub was dirty and there was no paper anywhere in the room. The latch to the pool area is non-functional and has to be basically broken into. There are signs saying to use pool towels but there are no pool towels in the pool area. You have to walk to the office and get some and they're the size of handkerchiefs. There's a ragged and broken old pool cover/mechanism sitting in the pool area. My kids still had fun but take it under advisement. Breakfast... unless you are a ceral and milk kind of person, don't even bother. Water machine was broken. Eggs were either powdered or cooked from a liquid mix inedible. Sausages were watery and disgusting. They do have a couple waffle irons and a thing of liquid mix if you're into that. Overall it definitely feelt like an "other side of the tracks" motel.

Booked this property because of the indoor heated pool and spa. Got to the pool, and it was not heated. Spa was heavily chlorinated, hard to breath after about 15 minutes, and stained my swimsuit from all the chemicals. Also didn't have much jet action. Room itself was fine, comfy bed, but wasn't worth the extra $30 we paid over other similar hotels in the area.

The pool is out of service indefinitely and looks like it's been that way for a long time. Something that should be listed since that was one of our criteria in looking for a hotel. We booked 2 rooms and they were on opposite sides of the hotel and on different levels. Overall not really impressed with anything.

There was functional swimming pool. Breakfast better than usual at these places. Not savory, but OK with eggs, yogurt, real oranges and cuties, coffee. Very clean and well kept facilitity.

The bathroom was not clean. The carpet was sticky and there was no hot water.

The sheets were gross. The bedding was gross. The floors made your feet black. Did not look like the bedding had been changed in a while. The floor was cleaned in months. It was gross

Room was clean and just freshly updated. Looked very nice. Pool was clean, but no towels

Room was very clean which is important to us. The nights we were there there were also 2 different high school groups staying. Didn't hear a sound from all those kids, the rooms are very well soundproofed. At breakfast with all those kids the staff kept everything cleaned up and well stocked. We will stay there again!

The bathroom shower head squirt everywhere the tub looked super dirty. The mini fridge freezer had freezer burn to the point that you couldn’t even put anything in it the towels had brown stains on them I rented two rooms my sons room smelt of urine and had dirty towels and a dirty bathroom

Cockroaches in the room. Toilet wouldn't flush. sink did not drain.

They never cleaned the room during our stay. The shower was clogged, and there were ants in the room.

The room was not cleaned- there was thick dust on the phone and alarm clock. The tub had black foot prints it before use. The towels and linens were stained.

Each year, for the past 4 years, we have come to stay here for the Utah Shakespeare Festival and have consistently enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is very good but this time was different. We had ants in both of the rooms, 102 and 103 and in 103 my daughter ended up with a number of bites from BED BUGS. I hate to say this but we will never stay here again. Upon returning home, we discovered a review written 2 months ago about the same problem. Sleeper beware!!!

There were a couple of pretty inexpensive things they could fix that would bump my rating up to 4 stars. The room was clean, however the shower head could use a serious vinegar soaking. It was pretty caked with hard water buildup so that most is the sprayers were clogged. To get decent spray I had to turn it to one that pelted me. The locks on the doors need to be added to. There is only a basic lock. Especially considering it is a motel with doors opening directly to the outside, I would have felt more comfortable with a slide lock or something that can only be opened from the inside in addition to what is there. The ice maker behind the office did not work. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the room was clean and decently up to date.

Room was very old and way outdated, carpet was torn and coming apart, stained Bathroom had what looked like mold and the mildew around the shower was excessive.

Priced accordingly and breakfast was included. The bed was hard just above sleeping on a floor and with the paper thin walls you could hear everything your fellow travelers were doing next room over.

The room was overall nice. The flooring was broken by the bathroom. I forgot about it a couple times and kept kicking it.

The price is just about right. But the hotel itself needs a major renovation. The carpet in the room was dirty with stains (no smell). The bed and the pillows were awful. Shower head was not changed maybe a decade or so. The water wasn’t going fast enough in the tub. I probably would not stay there again. Breakfast area had no AC. It was very hot and was really hard to stay and have a breakfast.

I was happy we had a microwave and fridge in the room. Great price. 😊

They stated the rooms had queen size beds when in fact they were full size beds. Many items in the room were broken or not working. Room keys wouldn't work half the time. We could hear everything going on around. Will not be staying here again.

Arrived at 11:30 at night to no one there to check us in. Called and texted but no answer. Front attendant finally showed up 15+ min later. Super sweet guy but we were so tired and wanted to get checked in. Got us checked in and when we got to our room, there was bags of garbages and towels in the middle of the room, lights were on, bed had dirty sheets and wasn’t made. We went back to the front desk and the guy was gone again. Finally got settled into a clean room around 12:30am.

We had to have new keys made every day, and the front desk staff seemed less than concerned about why - unsure why the keys were not programmed for our full stay? All the staff were pleasant, breakfast was good - just inconvenient to come back every day and not be able to get into the room.

We liked the fact that the property is right off of the freeway and is easy to get there. Check in was easy. The complementary breakfast was enjoyable. There was enough room for all of the other patrons who were staying there. We were able to get in and out quickly and get on with our planned activites.

Good stay, would stay again. Unnecessary strict breakfast time/approach - at 9 am they take everything away and even turn off TV - like they don't want you there, lol. Room/bed is comfortable. Bring ear plugs, as freeway is still somewhat noisy,even from a few blocks away.

I liked staying here because I could walk to the Shakespeare plays. Was a little over a mile, but that was good since I was going to be sitting(!). The room was clean and quiet. I didn't understand when they were going to clean the room, so I called about it since it hadn't been cleaned in a few days. Someone came and did it. Maybe you have to call if you want your room cleaned.

Great breakfast with sausage, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. Room was ok, AC minimized outside noise. Blackout drapes were deteriorating and should be replaced. Good location. Close to fast food.

Great base for exploring Zion and Bryce. The room was large and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Room adequate and clean. Bed very soft Front desk personnel unfriendly, not welcoming and not helpful. Breakfast was not good.
