The Baymont is right In The heart of Front Royal literally right at Main St. it is older but clean . My only complaint is the pool was too dirty to swim or cool off in .. Staff very kind and accommodating.. Nice continental breakfast. . Super dog friendly! The whole town is🐕. Great area for walking into to Main St and restaurants across the street is excellent . Also a Dunkin on the other corner .. If in the area would stay again ..

Good breakfast, but all was dirty here, the pool and all is disgusting. Very 3rd world conditions here, no American standards of a hotel here, the food was good for breakfast, but that was it, the parking is far away from your room. The pool is a real scare, so dirty. The entire hotel needs a remodel and paint job, just so dirty and uncared for. Very third world conditions overall. Plus it was supposed to be queen beds, but they are only full, not queen. A lot of lies about this dirty place, the pictures are deceiving. They need to invest in this place better and raise the standards. We would not recommend this hotel as Americans.

you get what you pay for. In this instance, it’s not really a bad thing. It’s nothing luxurious. The property is run down and needs an update and some clean up in the parking lot. But, our room was a super reasonable price, clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. The staff was nice. There was a small exercise room and an outdoor pool (looked run down, but clean) The area is great. Very walkable and close to the downtown area- you can’t beat the location. We felt safe there. Overall, decent stay. We would stay there again if we’re in the area.

Overall, the room was clean and organized. The fridge also worked well. The ground floor location of my room was perfect. Was able to park right outside my room, which made my trips to and from the vehicle quite easy. The front desk staff was accessible, friendly, and very efficient. From a breakfast standpoint, they offered hot (both regular & decaf) coffee before 6:00AM, which for me was perfect, as I had breakfast plans out on both of the mornings I was there. I love the location of this Baymont, as it is just across the street from the beautiful Front Royal Main Street Downtown district. The value and $cost/night I received fit perfectly into my budget. Would recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely plan on staying here again when I visit the area.

Not quite as advertised. Coffee machine and coffee in room, but no cups or mugs. Pool being drained. Included continental breakfast must have been hidden; no signs, no mention at check in. But plenty of good places to eat within walking distance.

I booked this room based on decent reviews and an ok price at a non-refundable rate. The penalty of moving trip dates out later was not much different than what I paid in total for 2 nights. You are pretty much stuck if you book here as non refundable. The hotel houses construction workers and seemly monthly rentals for several families who live there. The place looks run down and is not clean in differing ways. There was hair in the bathtub drain upon inspection and the room did not smell fresh. I believe the hotel pictures and condition are misleading when booking. I would not recommend this hotel and be careful with non refundable rates. I was only at the hotel for around 45 minutes total and did not stay. It did not feel right and I ended up staying with family. The booking was wasted money.

Pictures dont show true picture of room quality. Room was run down and dirty and noisy from other rooms. Have never left a poor review in any other hotel I dont expect them to be perfect but paid extra for upgraded room and was really disappointed

It was the second worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Upon entering, the room had no electricity. Front desk clerk had to come up and turn it on. Fridge was filthy and smelled like rotting death. Walking on the floor made the soles of your feet black with dirt. Clumps of long dark hair in the corners. Toilet seat wasnt connected to the toilet itself and there was dried urine caked around the bolts where it would have attached. The sheets looked clean so i didn't dare investigate further.

Shower floor was warped and would not drain. Hair was on the bathroom floor and towels. Lots of dead bugs behind the bed. Dead bug found under the comforter. Only one roll of toilet paper. Front desk staff was amazing and I have no complaints about them. I did not say anything while I was there, because I honestly was hiking most of the time I was there.

Hair on the sheets checked immediately upon check in, attitude from staff about switching the room as if we were asking too much. Once we came back for the evening i realized my sons feet were black, and it was from the DISGUSTING floor. We booked this because of the breakfast and pool, waffle mix was separating in the cup on dispensing. Apple juice smelled fermented and just plain off with pieces floating in it. Pool was unkempt so we chose our health and stayed away from the pool. Many areas of places let go, dog area gross and unmanaged. Gate fallen down. Over all, dirty and unmaintained. Huge disappointment. Go anywhere else for the price they want per night.

This was a horribly dirty place. Bathroom light filled with bugs. Cockroaches found in the bathroom. Stained comforter noted. Not initially seen because it was at the bottom. Will never stay again

I have stayed at this hotel for several years now because i have family in the area. Through the years this hotel has upped its game. No carpet, flooring very clean, i know because i wore socks and they didnt get dirty. Updated mirrors, comfy beds, clean linens and towels that dont smell like staight bleach. Best of all, very affordable and safe. I thought about paying more out of town but from my first stay to this one, its my go to because its close to family.

You could tell that they were trying to improve their appearance w/a sloppy paint job, chair covers, painted drywall compound all over walls too look like a “style” rather than putting it over cracks/holes repairing the drywall properly & wood-looking vinyl flooring. But it’s still a dump & in definite need of some updating- unfortunately because it has concrete walls- quite a bit of demo would have to be done to upgrade to modern standards. The “sleeper sofa” was a very uncomfortable & very narrow futon-not a sofa & not big enough for 2 people. The AC worked- 1 of the 2 microwaves in our “suite” worked. The internet was not high-speed but was free w/no security on it. There was a stove top in the “suite” but there was no way I was cooking anything on it- the burners sat wonky on the top & looked dangerous. Having 2 bathrooms was nice. The sheets were crisp & clean. The pool was very basic but the water was swimmable. The breakfast was basic but edible- sausage link, cereal, make your own waffles , pancake shaped egg disc, bagel, toast, & regular drinks When we went to check-in they asked for my credit card ( I had already pd for the room in full through Expedia)- I told the clerk I pd w/ Expedia …long story short - she charged me 2 additional times w/ 2 different prices for the room that was already paid in full. she assured me that “this was how it was done” & that Expedia would be altering their “hold” to reflect what they charged me.

Beds were very comfortable. Room has received some nice upgraded flooring etc. Bathroom still needs a little work... caulking was not done, trim needs to be painted, shower temperature was set too low. Bathroom walls were quite dirty.

All of the staff was friendly and helpful, holding open doors as we brought our things in and out and just in general very pleasant. Breakfast food was always full and warm. We tried the Thai restaurant in the evening and this was excellent. If ever back in the area would stay here again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but clean, quit and comfortable. The breakfast had a great variery and was well stocked. There was plenty of seating. We stayed for one night on our way to Shenandoah and Luray Caverns.

We were very excited to be near the historic downtown and forest. When we arrived our room was the farthest away from the area around back. The lock to go into the stairwells did not work. UNSAFE. The room next to our was padlocked shut. We tried to open our room and the green lights lit up but it was impossible to open the door. I told the staff about issue. I asked to move feeling unsafe and unable to get into the room. She said it was not possible. We waited 20 minutes back at the room for someone to come and unlock it and no one ever came. It was after 9pm and dark. I decided to drive 3 1/2 more hours to our final destination then to continue to stand there in the dark. Front desk took my key and said everything was "taken care of." The next day I called the manager to make sure we were not billed and she told me there was a ticket for maintenance to come and unlock our door?????? What? This was the next day. No one was EVER coming to let us in that night. And we were charged and currently trying to dispute it.

The location of the property is amazing. Walking distance from Old Town and not too far of a drive to Shenandoah National Park. It is a refurbished older hotel. It's a clean property but rooms need some a bit more TLC.

We stayed here at the stars of our Skyline/Shenandoah vacation. While the outside appearance might make you think it is outdated, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The onsite restaurant serves Thai food and it is really good. The room rate includes a hot breakfast. The hotel location is centrally located close to the Shenandoah river and the northern entrance to the Skyline drive. We had an excellent 2 day stay!

The best thing about our stay was the friendly customer service: Carla, who greeted & checked us in was absolutely lovely, setting the right note for our stay. The room was clean and some updates had been done (light adjustable mirror and the bathroom itself). The complimentary breakfast was generous, and again the friendly care of Ashley who served it added to the pro's of our stay. Nice landscaping in the common area, and the pool had just opened and was nice. The only downside to out stay was the metal wrapping that surrounded the bed (apparently something all of the Baymonts do) - it echoed and vibrated whenever we moved during the night, making a noise anywhere from a light gong to sounding like a creaky metal garage door opening. Most baffled as to why anyone would thing this was a good idea, and the other guest we talked with over breakfast also complained about it. That aside, we'd still probably return, as the staff was so friendly and the location was convenient to the main street of Front Royal, and the good restaurants that Carla had recommended to us.

Very cheap hotel. Close to Main Street and we rate this hotel higher. Breakfast had no coffee even though the one responsible noticed, but did nothing to make more coffee. You get what you pay for.

The parking was atrocious. The breakfast was not good. The eggs tasted Yucky cappuccino machine was broken couldn’t get no coffee and it was so crowded in there. You could hardly move people fighting over food like vultures. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
