Quality Inn Luray

The parking lot was very tight. The pool was outdoor, but not heated (in the shade). But the rooms were a good place to crash for hiking Shenandoah. And the restaurant on site was spectacular!

The hotel/motel was a lot older than the pictures. It was clean but very 60 ish. There was no elevator which I should have checked when booking. It does have a restaurant which is open for breakfast. The food was good and we had great service.

The property was not very clean. The carpeting in the room needs to be replaced. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. The pool was not clean.

unfortunately the best part about my stay was being able to check in early. the room might’ve been cleaned but with how stained everything was, i wouldn’t know. the bed sheet had burn holes in it. we ended up going to walmart to purchase blankets to sleep on top of and with. the pool was open but it wasn’t clean at all. we went to take a look before getting our daughters hopes up and saw the people that were swimming in it were kicking up dirt and things that were in the pool.

The check-in was quick and efficient and we were able to get the type of room we asked for. There is no elevator up to the second floor, so one must take the stairs with their luggage. The room was good except that the covering plate for one of the electrical outlets was not on the outlet, but was on the floor. It did not affect the functioning of the outlet plug-in. The only real issue for us was that the bathroom did not have an outlet for a nightlight, and we were unable to turn on the light without also turning on the noisy fan in the bathroom. It made for a disruptive sleep if one had to use the bathroom at night because the fan was noisy. The room itself was quiet, and the HVAC system worked very well, and there were blackout curtains to decrease the amount of light in the room. Overall, I could recommend the Quality Inn in Luray.

The room was dirty, mildew smelling the linens in my non smoking room had burn holes. We booked the hotel for the pool which is not open nor going to reopen.

No elevator, had to climb stairs to second floor. The stairway was so dirty and littered.

Check in was easy and staff person was extremely helpful. Room was nice and comfortable and clean. Although not enough Toilet Paper. Outside needs cleaning up especially in breezeway where garbage is keep and ice machine. Pool needs major repairs. Nice lobby area.

Parking was crowded. No breakfast provided.

Arrived to find the pool was out if service. 1st thing the receptionist said was "It states it on our website." For the price point, the pool was what we were paying for, not the extremely out dated rooms that were dingy.

There was a general manager that was very helpful. The reason why I gave this hotel low star rating was the clean list. The room I went into was dirty. There were diabetic strips left on the floor from the previous person. There were medications that were left under the sink, the bathroom did not look like it had been swept or cleaned properly. The mirrors had fingerprints and smudges on them. The pillows were just thrown on the bed. They did not look clean at all. There were several holes in the wall, the carpet was coming undone and ripped on several corners. The showerhead was broken, it just looked like a rundown room that was not cared for at all There were cobwebs and dust all over the AC unit which made me feel very stuffy and sick after just a day of being there. The area was nice and it was generally very quiet.

Very run down rooms, paint slapped on everything, mold in corners, electrical outlet exposed without cover plate. VERY moldy/musty smell. Toliet seat broken. Fly's and a huge millipede found in bathroom. When brought up to front desk, they didn't say anything...

The room itself seemed like it had been cleaned. However there was a definite mold / damp Oder as soon as you enter the room. The air conditioner Wes EXTREMELY loud. The are outside is loud as well. In the morning I realized why the room smelled as it did there was black mold and dirt all over the air conditioning unit! Eight hours later I am still coughing and can feel it. Awful! The refrigerator also makes lots of noise. I don’t believe the carpets have been cleaned in quite some time do to noticeable dirt picked up on my socks. Gross!! Shower and toilet area had some water damaged on wall and door so the door didn’t close properly. In all I wouldn’t recommend staying there. Pay the extra 50 for a better place across the street. IMO

Blood stains was on the covers we drove back 3hours home the same night. Lost money

We walked in, spent five minutes. Tried not to touch anything once we saw the first indicators of filth. Documented with photos and left. It was absolutely awful. Huge wad of hair in an unclean toilet, tile in sink area filthy, shower floor gross and had debris on it. Brown crud in the corner of the toilet area and smelled like urine. Worst of all was the beds. One smelled like pee, the other had yellow stains on comforter and absolutely covered in unknown stains on the “mattress protector”. On arrival there was an ozone machine running and a smoke smell in the room. Within a couple minutes, office staff came to retrieve the machine. On check in, another guest was complaining of unresolved cleaning issues from the day before. A word to the wise: keep driving even if you’re tired. Don’t stop here. We were scared that our pillows had touched theirs. We did not want our blanket in that bed. We would rather sleep on the sidewalk outside the room than ever climb into bed here. Even though we were exhausted, we walked out and immediately drove to Woodstock to a different, clean hotel. Never had to do that before in my life. This quality inn needs a serious deep clean and staff training before renting again.

DISGUSTING! There was hair from other guests on the pillows and sheets. The towels and pillows were stained and our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Will never stay at a quality inn again.

Our stay was short lived. We were unhappy with the quality of cleanliness in the bathroom. There were dirty wash clothes still in the shower and hair and dirt all over the floor and shower. The room didn’t feel clean at all.

Mold growing avove shower (room 113). After reporting and stitching to another room, the staff placed another guest in the mold infested room. Report sent to local health dept.

The room was not the cleanest. Hairs in sink, toilet still dirty, leftover dirty washrags from prior guests. Surfaces needing a good deep clean. Floors were dirty as well. It was ok for a short stay but dont expect it to be very clean.

Clean bed, thankfully. Bathroom and stand alone sink were pretty foul with hair and dead bugs on the vanity, wall and ceiling. Sink plumbing wasn’t great. A/C was good.

Shower was only tepid.

The TV didn't work, the coffee pot didn't work. Had to change rooms.

We were initially concerned by the somewhat dated, however, the rooms have obviously been recently updated and we found them delightful! They aren't luxury rooms, but we didn't expect that. They are, however, updated, clean and comfortable. We were delighted to find nice showers not outdated, stained tubs. We only experienced 2 problems. There really isn't adequate parking, which, I understand is difficult to remedy. Our biggest complaint, was that we had a faulty smoke detector that began going off sporadically at 2:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach anyone at the front desk. By 6:00 a.m., having had very little sleep, I finally went to the front desk. There was no attendant available. A note was left and we did not receive maintenance help until after 9:00. We weren't happy to have lost the night's sleep because there was nobody at the desk to assist.

Check in was good and staff was friendly. We didn’t do breakfast. Room had some issues such as bathroom door was chipped and dirty. Towel rack was broken so we had no where to put our towels. Room had a musty smell to it too. It is a little dated. Bed was pretty comfortable.But the price was good.

AC extremely loud

Motel still had outside entrances to your room. Fresh paint in the room was done poorly. Paint from the wall was on the ceiling. Wall also had dark spots where the paint didn’t fully cover whatever they were painting over. Biggest complaint was the TV. There was no channel guide letting you know what station or show was on each channel number. When you tuned to a number, it still didn’t tell you what station you were on or what was showing. The TV picture also did not fill the entire TV screen. There were black bars on the top and bottom of the screen making the picture appear squished. The heater in the room was also so loud it was nearly impossible to turn the volume up loud enough to be able to hear over it.

This is a hole in the wall motel. Not like the photo on this page at all. The room was in desperate need of upgrade. Not worth the $115 price. The beds were not comfortable. the AC was ancient. the bathroom was so tiny and the fan sounded like a tractor pull.

Rooms need some attention. Toilet did not flush without taking off tank lid. Exhaust fan clanked and was noisy. Room smelled weird.

The staffs we met were very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for those visiting the cavern nearby. However, the room was not comfortable. The hotel room was partially renovated but excluded the bathroom, and the bathroom was really worn down! Moreover, the mattresses were quite old and the springs inside felt out of use. All of us could not get a good sleep during the stay. To be fair, the price is hard to beat so you cannot expect too much.

I called to let them know we would be arriving later at night. When we arrived check in was quick and simple. Parking lot layout had us a little worried but turned out fine. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. Would definitely stay there again if we decide to travel to Laray for another weekend trip!

Rajesh Patel the manager was helpful and explained in details with the places of interest near by. The hotel was clean and centrally located with many points of interest. I highly recommend this hotel.

I called them and told them we’ll be arriving late, at around 12am. They confirmed it was not a problem, we would have to call When we arrived, door was locked and after trying to reach anybody for 45 min we had no choice but to get a hotel across the street for $200

Check in experience was not great. 8:40 pm and nobody at the counter and doors was locked. Picked up the outdoor phone and it just rang. Called the number on the door and nobody answered. Waited about five minutes and tried again; no answer. Walked around and found someone. He was upset with the computer and it made me feel uneasy how he expressed his anger (multiple outbursts). Room smelled like something had died in it. Baby cockroach on the wall. Shower pan was angled to the center but drain was located on the right side so when I showered it was just standing water. Smell was so bad the next day that I was gagging in the room. Switched to another room and no smell. Rod was very apologetic and helpful in getting us another room. Also door key stopped working so had to go back up to the front.

An unwelcoming person at the front desk upon check in. No housekeeping service was provided to us. When we called about it were told the housekeepers were gone for the day & we’d have to go to office for towels. The room was dingy, dusty, cobwebs, & the bath is tiny, the toilet was dirty from previous guest. Overall a pathetically rundown property that has quite a nerve charging $160+ per night.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was okay. Front desk staff could have been more attentive. Attached restaurant was okay for breakfast.

The worker's are very friendly and the hotel is close to where I need to be. Well keep staying there.

Unexpected terrible. The male front desk when i checked in was friendly enough. The other female front desk on two next days were unfriendly, rude and unhelpful. There was a phone hooked in room but NO SERVICE, No dial tone so I couldn’t call front desk to ask for Wi-fi password. I had to use my phone looking up their hotel phone to call them. I told them about it but they ignored and NEVER fixed the problem. On second day, there’s no wi-fi, I had to go to front desk asking password because the room phone DIDN’T WORK! Terrible experience. Never use Quality Inn again.

It is clean, affordable, conveniently situated in the heart of Luray. Dining options within walking distance. 2nd floor balcony offers a nice view of the town and surrounding hills. We stayed the night of July 4th and watched a great fireworks show from the balcony. It's a 5 minute or less drive over to Luray Caverns.

Great location if you’re visiting Luray Caverns. Hotel is old and in need of updates. Patches to ceiling and walls. Doors had chips etc. Bathroom was a little dirty but other areas of the room were clean. No complimentary breakfast but there is an onsite restaurant for breakfast. Staff was friendly. Parking was easy and close.

Very nice location, beautiful town, quite close to Luray Caverns

The room and hotel were older but updated and very clean. The location was convenient to walking downtown to shops and restaurants.

Very quiet, a little outdated but I just needed a place to stay overnight on a roadtrip, good location for food and close to Shenandoah. Great location. Staff was friendly

Room was clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Service was good. Parking was great. Great reastaurant for breakfast. And the Italian restaurant next door was great for dinner. Only issue was a very loud A/C that probably needed maintenance.

For the price, you can't beat the location in regards to the caverns and it's right on the edge of the little town. It was very clean! You can tell that they have been doing some updates and still have more to do, but it's a small hotel with a very clean pool. I would have liked the restaurant be open for dinner and not just breakfast, but there is a great Italian restaurant right there and the Mimslyann Inn is up the hill which has GREAT food!

Went with my brother and his family, sister and her family and my Mom. We had three rooms. Only one was a bit unclean. Moldy bathroom ceiling, light plate missing and stained sheets. However they were extremely receptive and changed out that room for another which was good 👍. Wonderful place for the price. The restaurant has delicious Breakfast, the bowl was my favorite!

Nice hotel to stay if you’re visiting the national park. Does not have a free breakfast, but it is attached to the breakfast place which is nice you don’t need to go anywhere far in the morning. Room was clean and quite.
