Stayed 1 night

We requested bedding for our pull out bed and they said they would bring it to our room but we never recieved it. There were no tissues in the room, the toiletries were bare minimum, the breakfast had minimal choices and there was a broken hanger on the floor showing it wasn't cleaned very thoroughly. Although I was told the white remote was how I controlled the thermostat I was unable to get the airconditioner or the fan to work. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pictures online did not match the room! Overall it was not worth the outrageous price we paid for the room. We have stayed in places 1/3 of the cost that were better equipped. There was one female cleaner who was friendly.

Our room was very large and had a balcony that looked out over a lawn and some woods. It was very quiet. St. Johnsbury is a lovely town, and the inn has a very traditional look. The breakfast area is quite small, and the food options were limited. The staff were very friendly and eager to please.

We just needed a place to stay the night before catching the shuttle to ride the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. It was perfect for that. We didn't avail ourselves of the amenities other than breakfast, which was ok.

Staff was helpful in providing decaf coffee for us at breakfast each day, replacing the in-room coffee maker, and a few other things. Very nice and well-maintained property.

We typically do not rate accommodations poorly but were compelled to because the online photos were deceptive. Our room was spacious which was the only observation that correlated with the photos. The minisplit and front door lock worked well. Our low ratings were due to a plethora of other observations: small stains on the wall near the bed, a bathroom door that couldn’t close, worn out chairs, bedside stand with a corner whose laminate was peeling creating a sharp edge, two light fixtures which didn’t work, distinct somewhat offensive odor to the room possibly the cleaning solution, and breakfast options which were minimal compared to our experience elsewhere in a similar settings. We will not return.
