For what you pay, i was expecting more. There's nothing really to do in the area, except the lake. And the resort has no real beach/swimming area. They have a tiny spit of sand, but no chairs there, and the water is gross (as it is in between 2 marinas). If you want to swim, you have to go elsewhere. They charge for kayak/SUP rental (what the heck is my $500/night paying for???) Pools are small, no better than what you would find at a regular hotel. No shade umbrellas. I mean, again, what am i paying resort fees for? Everything was fine, nothing was great

My partner and I, who have been together for 18 years, recently took a weekend vacation to Lake Lawn Resort. It’s conveniently close to home, yet the beautiful establishment made it feel like a true getaway. Everything was clean and peaceful, especially since we visited during Easter weekend. We enjoyed a couple's massage and steam room, had a dinner reservation at the Lookout Bar & Grill, strolled along the lake, and even had a bonfire by the lakeside. There were plenty of activities to enjoy at our leisure. We felt completely relaxed and well-accommodated everywhere we went. As a lesbian couple in an unfamiliar area, we never once felt judged or stared at, which added to our delightful experience. The staff were so friendly everywhere we went and so welcoming. We will be returning to the Lake Lawn Resort again for some R&R.

Unfortunately, the retreat is not handicap friendly. There are no automatic doors and no banks of elevators. Only one elevator exists, it is ancient, and requires assistance to open the door. To bypass the numerous sets of stairs, (the resort is on 3 levels), one would have to go outside and walk on the sidewalk on an incline. This path is not covered.

Staff is wonderful. Even with updates property is dated. Great for families with small kids, lots of activities. Pools are overcrowded with limited space but lake view is nice. Many rooms with parking lot view. Courtyard view is of grass and tents. Food is above average and all the restaurants are great. 1878 restaurant is exceptional.

Our room was very dirty. The room itself was a cool set up and the lake view was beautiful but the room hadn't look like it had been seriously cleaned in a long time. There was dust on everything and I mean everything like an inch think. When I went to give my sun a bath I had to clean it first because there was yucky stuff sitting in the drain and a film on the bathtub itself. I did kindly notify the front desk at check out and they just said oh... For the price of the room I really think that's a shame that they cannot uphold a better reputation than that because we really enjoyed the resort otherwise.

Our room was expensive and VERY dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on EVERYTHING. When I had to give my son a bath, I had to clean gross stuff out of the drain and scrub a film off the bath tub. It smelled very musky in the room as well. I understand this is a lake side resort, but it honestly didn't look like staff had seriously cleaned the room in a long time. I never complain but I did kindly let the front desk know about this and they just said oh... Very disappointing response for the money we spent there. The resort was otherwise great, and our set up of the room was very cool, however it was disgusting.

Lake lawn Resort is one of my favorite places to stay. It is clean and well-maintained. The pools are very clean as well. My favorite part about this place is the beautiful property and the lake views. We will be returning again and again!

Beautiful space and view of the lake. Loved the little patio and chairs. Room was spacious. Linens were clean. Newly renovated so the room had a new feel to it but felt not quite finished…Had a bit of strange empty space in room/bathroom. Not sound proof able to hear other guests nearby and above us. From above us we were able to hear walking, running, jumping, crying etc! Bath was a bit dirty and shower head was filthy!! Overall would stay again. The cleanliness is totally fixable!!

Found a dirty sock in the bed under the covers. Door handle to bathroom fell off and could not keep door closed. Sink would not drain. Bathtub was so slippery that we almost broke our necks…unsafe. Worst stay ever!!! Management was unfazed and did not care. NEVER STAY HERE

Room was very nice and the terrace area was very nice to sit and look at the beautiful lake. Areas near our entrances were not very clean. Also lots of trash in the lake that my husband kept wanting to clean. Outdoor pool was very dirty.

When we first checked in, I had to call housekeeping right away because the toilet wasn't cleaned and there were dirty towels in the tub. The walls are thin enough to hear conversations in the next room and the air conditioner was quite loud and inconsistent. I didn't find the beds comfortable. The big highlights are the poolside rooms, view of the lake and nice staff.

Friendly staff, especially Lynette and Victoria who were helpful during our stay. Lots of amenities and convenient climate controlled walkways around the property. Renovated bathroom and room were wonderful. Only issue is if you are on the ground floor beware of noise from the top level.

Very pricey; paper thin walls; no second day room cleaning; no mandated quiet hours; plastic-y feeling sheets—like sleeping under a shower curtain. This lakefront property is lovely but the resort is consistently short staffed especially in housekeeping. Disappointing.

The room was quite outdated. The floor on the loft area and stairs were lumpy. The bedding was incredibly stiff and loud. It was almost like sleeping with thick tissue paper. The blankets kept you warm, but it wasn't soft and it was crunchy. Totally uncomfortable. The hall space was incredibly narrow as well. The doorway was too narrow to bring the luggage carts in, so as you unload and load the cart, all of your belongings are just sitting in the hallway. For as much as that resort must make, they could have done some much needed updates to ensure their guests are comfortable, happy, and offer convenience during their stay. I definitely will not return to the lofted rooms until they're updated. And even then, I'd probably call to see if they got new linens, or else I'd bring my own.

Staff was very rude during check in for no reason. It felt like I was in high school everything that I was doing I got told no or I was being watched. The walls are super thin kept getting a noise complaint for my tv when even a whisper was louder than the tv.

We stayed at the Lodge side. Rooms were dated, which was fine, but they were not very clean and the carpeted hallways smelled like feet. The resort itself is very nice with dining options and multiple pools. I heard the Lake side rooms were better but I didn’t see them.

When I made the reservation on Expedia and paid online, it was made very clear that there would be a $27 resort fee due at time of check in. When I checked in to the resort I was told there was an $80 resort fee and taxes beyond my Expedia charges. I was given no choice but to pay this. My receipt however after checking out showed I paid a $27 resort fee, this does not add up. My credit card statement shows I was charged $80. This should be made clear upon booking on Expedia. Also, body wash in shower was clearly full, pump did not work. I called the front desk and asked for a replacement which they said they would send. It never arrived. Room clean which I appreciated.

Absolutely love my stay. Went on a girls weekend. We had a ball!! Cassidy at the front desk was exceptional. We loved the welcome reception and also the full service on site. Everything you could ever need nearby. Easy early morning, coffee, nice dining options. I would love to come back with my family and have it on our radar.

Let me begin by saying that the golf course staff was excellent as were the servers at the poolside restaurant/bar. That's where it ends. At 2:00 pm check-in we were told by person at front desk that room wasn't ready and she would call us. While lots of other wedding party guests checked-in, we never received a call. At 5:00 pm we finally went back to the desk to check-in. No apology or interest that we had been waiting. The room HVAC was always either too cold or too hot. The thermostat clearly was not functioning properly. Telephone by bed did not work. No spare toilet paper in room and we had to go to front desk to get some. Bathroom door did not stay shut without holding it,and squeaked loudly, Bed mattress was sagging and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the wind was very strong all weekend which filled the pool with leaves and debris. The pool attendant never once got out of her chair to do anything for the 2 1/2 hours we were there, and I overheard another guest complaining about not using strainer to clean the pool, she just sat there. Lastly, the responses from front desk and management staff when we inquired about things were a lesson in how not to respond to a guest. In response to a question about the room not having been cleaned yet on day 2, the person told us that "we only clean every 3 days, we aren't the Marriott!" Rates they charged for the weekend were higher than any Marriott property we checked in Milwaukee for lesser quality and service. Do not recommend.

We were unhappy with the restaurant service at 1828 and the extreme amount of waiting and also when we were checking out; took quite a while and they charged my credit card when they should not have because Expedia already had it covered as I unsuccessfully tried to explain that to the customer service representative. Overall the resort is good for the money. The resort seemed to be remodeled in the last year and it needed it. I wish they had better food selections. The food was just okay and the bad part is it’s about 15 min.drive to anything good. The pool was very nice and the room was great.

Mandy helped me so much when I booked my stay at Lake Lawn - she was so kind and informative and gave great customer service. There was only one problem - when we went to 1898 for breakfast and everyone was being serviced and we waited 30 minutes for water or coffee - no one knew who our server was - But in the end the food was delicious

The 1878 restaurant food was great. Not many options on the menu. The management needs to get their act together We ordered walleye fish and they were out of it after telling us 30 minutes later then came back to our table and we took our order again and upgraded it to the $50 steaks and then came back and said they only had two left. A beautiful 85° Saturday at a beautiful resort and they ran out of food really super disappointed ruined our evening for the most part need to do something about the management at that restaurant

My husband and I had an extremely peaceful 4 day weekend. This resort is very quiet. Swimming pools are great. Lovely, clean, well maintained grounds. Nice patios for each room, plenty of places to sit and gather with friends and family placed throughout the whole resort. We loved spending time at the nightly lakeside fire pits. We were not very impressed with the dining options but still, we can't wait to come back.

The place is fabulous for a getaway weekend. Views and good for the kids but be aware for the restaurant short staff in both sides and the food there!!. Not worth the money!.

Food in the 1878 restaurant was excellent. The food in restaurant near the bar was not as good. Ordered a schnitzel and it came out raw. The replacement was just a deep fried piece of breaded pork with no taste. Respectionist at check in and out was hard to understand and was not helpful. Resppectionist the next day to get second room was very good. The Golf course was excellent. Our room was okay but balcony sucked. Son's room was a loft and was great with a nice view. Would go back again using knowledge gained.

Beautiful place to stay a few nights on a true lakefront property. Walkable grounds, coffee shop on site & Waterfront restaurant a short walk or 3 min drive for a nice dinner. Pool overlooks lake & plenty of lakefront to walk, relax & enjoy lake life.
