The breakfast was very plentiful, and the staff were extremely friendly. The front desk was professional and very nice. When they saw we had two children, they even brought out gifts for the kids to each pick two, which was very thoughtful. The parking was not crowded, and the gym facilities were good and clean. The only small regret was not being able to use the outdoor pool—our two kids were a bit disappointed, but given the outdoor temperature, it was understandable. Overall, the experience was excellent and highly recommended. This is by far the best Holiday Inn I have stayed at.

Getting picked up and dropped off at the property can be a little bit of a challenge with luggage. Management has decided to block the front pickup/dropoff driveway so that taxis/Uber can't pull off the busy roadway to allow for loading/unloading of luggage. Apparently this is because they don't want the Starbucks customers to gather in that area. So their solution is that now nobody can use the front driveway (??).

Wonderful hotel stay for 5 nights. Roo.s are clean, comfy beds. Nice outdoor pool. Very close to the skytrain and attached to Metropolis Mall. Staff are super freindly and helpful. Parking and breakfast included. Would stay here again!

Property and staff are good, breakfast was very well done - but small space Parking is terrible if you own a larger truck. their response to alternate parking at this facility is to park on the street paid parking..

The hotel is right next to the metrotown shopping center and shares the same parking garage. The hotel only has 6 floors and has a great hot breakfast with baked beans and congee. It feels like a boutique hotel. We were able to check our luggage at the bellhop before checking in. We also were able to extend our checkout by 3 hours. My only complaint is its easy to miss the parking entrance since theres no signage for hotel parking from the street.

I am perfectly happy with my stay at the Holiday Inn. The hotel is located in the prime area of Burnaby and there is a walkway to Metro Town. Driving into and out of the hotel was easy with clear signage. There are more than enough parking for guests. The room was in good condition, although the staff did not clean it up one day for no good reason. The swimming pool was well heated despite the cold outdoor temperature. The hotel also brought me the convenience of travelling light, they provided two desktop computers for use by guests with printer for my online boarding pass. (Personally I'd prefer not to take my laptop with me when I am on vacation.) They did not charge for local calls, unlike many competitors. Finally, the complimentary buffet breakfast provided many nutritious choices.

Loud but everything pretty much settled down around 11:30, breakfast was decent, nothing special and my room could have used a good scrubbing. Location is really good though and that was worth it.

In 40 years of travel this Holiday Inn Express was by far an Exceptional Hotel and Experience. First and foremost was the staff. Everyone from the Manager, Front Desk, Breakfast and house Keeping. Every employee we ran into had a smile and greeted was warm and kindly. This is a reflection of the property management. When I asked to speak to the manager on duty, she was in the process of stocking the good in the store, which she could have had someone else do. The Hotel was cleaner than any and I do mean ANY that I have been in maybe ever. The baseboards, the elevator was freshly cleaned and vacuumed. The Hotel was immaculate. That being said we use budget hotels for most of our travel, but my wife and I were Very Impressed. And the comfort was impressive as well, we had been on a 10 day tour of Canada, stayed at nice resorts in Banff, but this was the best night sleep we had during our entire stay. If you are going to be in Vancouver then this is the place to stay. Thank you to the entire staff at the Holiday Inn Express Metrotown is the place to stay hands down

The staff were very warm and welcoming. The room itself was perfect for two adults and two kiddos. A lot of hotels only offer double beds, this facility offers queen beds. So this was the main reason we booked. The bathroom mirror was filthy. Toothpaste crusties in the sink along with some short, curly hairs!! Yuck! The vinyl flooring had not been washed as there were hairs and dried stains. The bed was comfortable and clean however. We stayed a quick overnight and I didn’t have it in me to have to vacate the room while they cleaned it again. I do expect spotless for spending nearly $400 for one night.

Had a great stay! My room was very clean, the bed and pillows were really comfortable, and the staff was lovely, even during my midnight visits to the desk. The only slight drawback of this hotel is the noise, it is right beside the Skytrain and the windows in the hotel are quite old and don't look double-paned, its the only complaint I had about an otherwise great hotel. Corporate should invests in the windows at this location to make it a fantastic stay.

Ashley checked us in I believe! She was great and reccomended some great tourist destinations. Lovely and thoughtful staff, clean room with an enjoyable view. Very tasty hot breakfast! (My husband loved the danishes). 10/10 would stay again!

Terrible experience. No free bottle water in the room — had to ask at the front desk, and they only give two bottles once,ridiculous,shouldn’t have put these water in room in advance? Checkout is 11am, not even 12 like most hotels. At 11:20, someone literally knocked on my door with a clipboard to kick me out. The worst part? They rush people out, but won’t even let you check in a bit early. So strict, zero flexibility, and no benefit to guests.

Too far from the free way. Rude receptionist. The check in time was 4 o’clock. I tried to check in at 3:45. She didn’t want to check me in because of 15 minutes early arrival! I was tired and didn’t like the way she welcomed us!

Sehr nettes Personal, saubere Zimmer, wirklich guter Service. Auch die Lage neben der mall und dem skytrain ist super. Einzig beim Frühstück hat uns missfallen, dass unfassbar viel Müll angesammelt wird dadurch dass es keine richtigen Teller und Besteck gibt. Aber das ist wohl so in Kanada. Schade.

The staff was excellent! Very friendly and helpful. The proximity to the sky train was great. The free breakfast was not good and I didn’t like that you couldn’t access free tea or coffee after the breakfast hours like at other properties where water, tea, or coffee are available free all day.
