The Backpacker house, is literally someone’s house. Beds were basically on the floor. We were told larger lockers would be in the dorm of sharing 5 people, there were no lockers in the room, they were all downstairs. I therefore spent more on the room for no benefit. You have to walk past some sketchy areas to get there. If you do not have a cell phone you cannot check in as it is done by text. Bathrooms were fine.

Lovely quiet neighbourhood. I slept very well every night. Train station, bus stops, a mall, and many lovely cafes and restaurants within a fifteen minute walk. No front desk, everything done over messenger apps, but the response time was very quick and the owner was helpful. You need $1 coins to use the washer/dryers.

Unfortunately, our experience staying at this property was highly disappointing. The cost of 344 CAD per night does not match the quality of the conditions. The room was in the basement with dusty floors, no hot water in the shower, and the shared shower and toilet were dirty. The noise insulation was so poor that every step from the tenants above was very loud. We also did not receive a positive response from the host to our inquiries. I do not recommend this place for staying.

Our stay at the Vancouver Backpackers near Metrotown was great! Checking in was easy, the room was all we needed, the location was so easy for us to take the Sky Train into the city and it was nice and quiet for sleeping. We did not use the kitchen but it looked well equipped.

I am always nervous about staying in Hostels, but this was a great location! The common rooms were clean and well organized, the host was responsive, helpful, and friendly, and the place was a short walk from great food and public transport. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly!

Fantastic stay for what we needed. We felt safe with code locks on both front and room doors. Check in was easy and staff quick to respond. We didnt use the common areas much but the living room looked cozy and standard kitchen. Just what we needed for a place to crash after an event

A very good place to stay on a budget, the area and access to sky train gives the place an extra star. It is a walking distance to a lot of places. The check in was quick and easy via WhatsApp, even the directions to the place were via WhatsApp. I will definitely go back and stay there on my next visit.

Excellent option for late arrivals in Vancouver! I traveled from Ontario to attend a sporting event and arrived in Vancouver around 10:30 PM. I had a terrible experience in the past with another place that didn’t allow check-ins after 11 PM — I lost my money and had to find a hotel at the last minute. Thankfully, this time was completely different! The host was very understanding, and the late check-in went smoothly. The room was kind of messy and not completely clean. Cobwebs in the closet for example. Some of the bathrooms were better kept than others. Overall an okay place to stay short-term or if you do mind a messy area. Service was good and easy to communicate with.

The first night was a tad noisy with people returning late and but I was able to reach out to the property managers who were able to control the people who didn’t realize it was 2 am in the morning. It’s an ideal place for younger crowd who want to have a place and travel and sight see rest of the day. What is amazing the people who run this place will respond to any queries any time day or night.

The room I stayed in had 12 beds which was very uncomfortable except that there was only 1 other backpacker Communication by text only was ok but much prefer face to face They led me keep my luggage there which I appreciate But would not stay there again

I am always nervous about staying in Hostels, but this was a great location! The common rooms were clean and well organized, the host was responsive, helpful, and friendly, and the place was a short walk from great food and public transport. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly!

A very good place to stay on a budget, the area and access to sky train gives the place an extra star. It is a walking distance to a lot of places. The check in was quick and easy via WhatsApp, even the directions to the place were via WhatsApp. I will definitely go back and stay there on my next visit.

For anyone finding a quick place to stay, i recommend this! Owners are very helpful and informative! Came here for just a concert for judt 2 nights and its been amazing! Everything is walkable from the cafe and the mall! Their area is very safe! Would comr back again!

Lovely quiet neighbourhood. I slept very well every night. Train station, bus stops, a mall, and many lovely cafes and restaurants within a fifteen minute walk. No front desk, everything done over messenger apps, but the response time was very quick and the owner was helpful. You need $1 coins to use the washer/dryers.

Our stay at the Vancouver Backpackers near Metrotown was great! Checking in was easy, the room was all we needed, the location was so easy for us to take the Sky Train into the city and it was nice and quiet for sleeping. We did not use the kitchen but it looked well equipped.

A cheap option to see Vancouver, close the the skytrain great if you like backpackers type places which i do. Nice locals pub nearby and had a pleasant 3 nights.

Budget friendly and convenient. Quite close to Metrotown translink which connect you to Vancouver downtown. Clear instructions, which is really good.

No tv very low class got robbed by a girl who left in the late night after I fell asleep reported to staff no response room was dirty and had a funny smell saw mold growing on one of the beds
