Dampfbad wo ein Bierchen darin genossen werden darf macht besonders Freude. War ein toller Aufenthalt! Essen empfehle ich in der nahe liegenden Streetfood Halle. Im Hotel schweine teuer.

We stopped here for 4 nights recently and had a fantastic stay. There are good amenities nearby. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. Also enjoyed a dip in the hot tub and stat gazed. 5 out of 5 and will be back in the future!

I chose this hotel for the location, which met my needs for this trip. The beds were adequate. The walls were thin. The bathroom was enormous but had a pedestal sink and nowhere to put my toiletries. There were no towel bars or hooks for the towels. The free breakfast was just ok.

Despite what the listing says AND the arrival note from the hotel, the hot tubs are not open (due to hotel renovations) and the pool is freezing. This is the main reason why we paid a little more to book this hotel and we were very disappointed. Additionally, the family room we stayed in, in the basement, was very loud. Any time someone above us showered or flushed a toilet, it sounded like a river was running through our room. And there was a dripping sound outside our window ALL night. I would not stay here again.

The location was great for coming and going with a rental car to all sites on the Golden Circle. Breakfast was varied with excellent alternatives that suited everyone in the family. The family room was spacious and perfect for with 2 older children because all beds were 'real' and standard sized - not 'extra' beds or pull outs. There could have been more hooks - both inside the door for coats and inside the bathroom.

Opzich prima hotel. Kamer die we hadden was echt aan vervanging toe. Wel schoon maar gewoon oud. Gootsteen echt langer dan beste tijd gehad. De douche in bad met het gordijn is ook echt wel klaar. Dit komt op de foto’s niet heel goed naar boven en viel mij wat tegen. Wel schoon en vriendelijk personeel. Vond het voor deze kamer teveel geld.

Loved this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much! I initially booked 1 room but needed an extra because we had another person joining the trip. Upon arrival which was pretty late, the receptionist was able to book us another room at a very reasonable price. Knowing we needed to have dinner and the restaurant was closing in 15 minutes at 10pm, he went over and talked to the restaurant making sure they will seat us at 10pm. We had a great meal with some local dishes and the restaurant stayed open late for us. Very grateful for that from a bunch of exhausted travelers. We were also impressed by the lower floor ping pong room with lots of lounge area. The pool was amazing. Super clean, fast elevator, super neat architecture design and interior decor. Also super neat is their room key which is very unique with holes that look like abstract art. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here the night before a morning flight out from KEF. Plenty of parking on site, shops & restaurants across the street. Filled the tank at gas station next to hotel before heading out. Super convenient. Short walk to thermal bath. Had dinner at hotel restaurant, food was good. Room was clean & spacious. It would be great if we could spend more days here to explore the various trails and use the hotel pools and other amenities.

Overall, a good hotel to stay at. However, the hotel is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from the airport. Hotel does not offer a shuttle service, so you need to rent/hire a car or take a taxi which can cost about $150-$200 one way. Would not recommend the restaurant to eat as the food is not so great. The best part about the hotel is its location. You are in the middle of the golden circle. Overall, I would come back and stay at the Ork.

We had a great stay. Our room was wonderful and we could even see the northern lights from our patio! Only issue for us was limited breakfast and dinner options for vegetarians. I also noticed that most food at the buffet was not labeled which made it difficult for dietary restrictions. Overall, I highly recommend.

We absolutely loved this place. Very quiet and walkable town. Several great dining options around and just a perfect place to stay. Facilities were great and the most underrated part is the breakfast. It was plentiful and best of all free. Iceland can be expensive with food so that saved us a ton of money outright.

Hotel Ork was a wonderful stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant is fabulous. During our stay we utilized the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was excellent all three times. Highly recommend you to visit the restaurant while visiting the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
