The room was stuffy (we have no thermometer in our room to adjust it) but contrary to other reviews, we just opened our window and it cooled down extremely fast! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good! Don’t expect a warm breakfast like eggs and gravy but they have bagels, cold cuts and cereal. Free parking right in front of their hotel!

Room was spacious and well appointed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. On-site food all serving great choice of street food, all well priced and cooked to order. Each food vendor served beer, wine etc. Bar open till after midnight. Gift store on same site, lovely items to tempt you. Breakfast served in the cafe area, really good choice and all fresh.

We loved this hotel! Comfortable, casual and very pleasant. We chose it in part because of the food court in the lobby. That made the hotel an even better choice! It was fun and we enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. Hung out there at night for hours - guilty of staying until closing. lol. Seems popular with the locals too. The casual atmosphere totally fit our type of trip which involved a lot of hiking. Our rooms were spacious, clean and had large windows overlooking the beautiful scenery.

Only one night here but a lovely spot with a little gift area and a food hall with a good selection. Rooms were clean and perfect with a window seat and a notice board with a map and things to do pinned to it. For some reason as in the other accommodation in Iceland this hotel also doesn’t supply face cloths we recommend bringing one otherwise everything was provided as expected. Would definitely recommend.

Zimmer war ok, allerdings nicht sauber, Bettlaken leicht fleckig. Abgenutzte Handtücher. Zimmerreinigung nur auf Nachfrage ( ob Kosten hierfür extra kommen, kann ich nicht sagen ) Frühstück deutlich verbesserungsbedürftig. Sehr schöner Foodbereich und Shop

I honestly would have given excellent on the hotel but didn't for only 2 reasons. 1. I tried to change my reservation by one day less than 24 hrs after booking and they wouldn't allow. I know it is a no cancellation reservation, but even so, most places allow a change withing a few hours. 2. We noticed a smell in the bathroom from the moment we arrived. It wasn't HORRIBLE but we all noticed it. Beds were comfy, staff were kind, breakfast was good, several dining options in hotel, and don't be like us and miss out on the ice cream shop inside hotel.

My husband and I had a nice stay at the Greenhouse. The room was nicely styled with vintage and modern details and felt warm and comfy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The reception area is nicely designed with small shops, a cafe and an ice cream parlor, plus they have a great food hall. However, it is very expensive. We ordered from the noodle shop and it was good but not great and very expensive. Approximately $17.00 for a small box of noodles. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and they allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. They were helpful in giving us info on dining and hiking in the area. Parking was very easy right behind the hotel. The only negative was the room was hot but this is due to the geothermal heating system which is beyond their control. A fan in the room would be useful. Also, the bathroom floor gets very wet due to the open shower area in the bathroom. We got extra towels because of this. A solution for this would be useful for the hotel and customers. Would stay again. Definitely would recommend.

Fairly disappointed with this hotel. The rooms weren't particularly clean. There were some old stains on some of the bedding. I was surprised that it was impossible to get extra pillows. Supposedly they have absolutely none on site. The windows aren't the best so it can be quite noisy from the industrial estate nearby. It felt like staying in a hostel above a shop. Which considering it was more expensive than Reykjavik, was more than a little disappointing. The lack of real door locks on the rooms, and no do-not-disturb signs, meant that cleaning staff walked in on me in the shower at 9am. Particularly surprising since room cleaning is only done off you pay an extra charge. Overall I was pretty disappointed. If you need a quick night somewhere, there's definitely worse out there, but for the price you can definitely find better. There were some positives, the beds were surprisingly comfortable and the staff was nice.

Vær obs på at du må kjøre 15 min + gå i 50 min for å nå de varme kildene. Mathallen tilbyr variert og god mat, men det finnes ingen rooftop (som de selv sier de har). Den er lokalisert på en terrasse med et par stoler og en stengt og slitt bar. Vi opplevde generelt at vi fikk lite igjen for pengene, men dette er nok også det beste hotellet i denne byen.

We use the greenhouse Hotel as our homebase for the week. It was the perfect location for our southern coast of Iceland adventures. The room was incredibly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was a great way to end each day. The staff were all very helpful, and ready to give recommendations of things to do with places to go. The food options and bar in the evening were always humming. you could tell it’s a really loved place to go to for tourist and locals alike. The breakfast every morning that was included was exceptional North American breakfast could learn from this place!

We mostly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's definitely trying to be hip with layout and decor. The attached food hall was super fun and had a lot of good choices. The room was small, but had everything you needed. Note that they charge extra to have your room cleaned. Our only issue is that the bar in the food hall stays open until 1pm and there was a lot of noise outside our window from people going outside for a smoke after midnight.

Very good for a night or two stay. Abit noisy at night with heavy doors shutting and its on a busy road . However a great concept and we liked the choice of foods in the market and shopping downstairs. Very close to ther restaurants as well. The rooms were very well done wiith a great shower room.

We had an outstanding stay at the hotel. We had a family room on the third floor and my son loved the bunk bed. Breakfast was delicious and included excellent brewed black tea. We had an issue our first night where the fire doors on all levels had been propped open by house keepers and then not closed which creates a huge fire hazard since all rooms sit off a main staircase with a restaurant at the base. I alerted the manager in the morning, who did a fantastic job of addressing my concerns and the doors were closed the rest of our stay. I was relieved because we really enjoyed our room but would have left the hotel that morning had they not addressed. I am posting this in part to alert future visitors and ensure they continue to close them.

Good location off the highway. Walkable to the waterfall and hikes. Room was hot and stuffy and couldn't open the window because below me was a balcony where people were smoking until midnight. Staff a bit unfriendly from check-in to bar service.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking was very easy. There is an elevator so you don’t have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The breakfast was very good. This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Iceland.

Hôtel bien décorée mais qui privilégie le style au détriment de l'expérience client. L'environnement peut être bruyant en lien avec le vent qui souffle parfois vigoureusement dans cette région de l'Islande. Le petit-déjeuner est minimaliste comparativement aux autres hôtels de gamme similaire en Islande. Surtout le service est décevant : - un accueil inexistant - un personnel antipathique (pas de salutations d'usage, ni aide ni guidance) - nous avons été réveillé au petit matin par un membre du personnel qui a ouvert la porte de la chambre puis a allumé la lumière. Voyant son erreur, la personne est partie sans s'excuser ni éteindre la lumière et a fui le plus rapidement possible afin de disparaître au fond du couloir sans répondre à nos appels. C'est tout bonnement inacceptable.

Surtout le service est décevant : - un accueil inexistant - un personnel antipathique (pas de salutations d'usage, ni aide ni guidance) - nous avons été réveillé au petit matin par un membre du personnel qui a ouvert la porte de la chambre puis a allumé la lumière. Voyant son erreur, la personne est partie sans s'excuser ni éteindre la lumière et a fui le plus rapidement possible afin de disparaître au fond du couloir sans répondre à nos appels. My husband and I had a nice stay at the Greenhouse. The room was nicely styled with vintage and modern details and felt warm and comfy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The reception area is nicely designed with small shops, a cafe and an ice cream parlor, plus they have a great food hall. However, it is very expensive. We ordered from the noodle shop and it was good but not great and very expensive. Approximately $17.00 for a small box of noodles. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and they allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. They were helpful in giving us info on dining and hiking in the area. Parking was very easy right behind the hotel. The only negative was the room was hot but this is due to the geothermal heating system which is beyond their control. A fan in the room would be useful. Also, the bathroom floor gets very wet due to the open shower area in the bathroom. We got extra towels because of this. A solution for this would be useful for the hotel and customers. Would stay again. Definitely would recommend.

This was the first place we stayed in Iceland and we loved it! The food options were great, the drinks at the bar were incredible, the breakfast was delicious, the beds were very comfortable and we had a wonderful time. I have to give a huge shoutout to Benni who was working reception overnight, the 3rd night of our stay. He gave us guidance regarding seeing the aurora borealis and was so incredibly kind and gracious.

Close to the hiking trails. You can walk to the geothermal park and the thermal swimming pool. Safe and quiet. Friendly staff. Lots of food options at the food hall and surrounding area. I would stay here again.

The Greenhouse Hotel, was the perfect spot to land on our way around Ring Road. It was clean, modern, and full of charm. The food hall had a great variety of food choices for everyone. It was also located super close to the Thermal River, for the hiking enthusiasts.

The room was simple but clean, a bit warm with the unseasonably high temperatures we had but they gave us a fan that helped a lot. Having access to the food court was great, and the included breakfast was a perk. The gift shop is very nice too. The location is convenient although a bit industrial.

What a beautiful place! We stayed 4 nights to explore Iceland's southwest region. It was pretty centrally located with (for the most part) easy, free parking. There are a bunch of cute restaurants in the greenhouse, and nearby, when you are too tired from a day of hiking, to drive far. The hotel has a delicious breakfast buffet (variety of delicious breads, meat, cheese, eggs, jams, nutella and fruit) The staff was friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay here again.

Food hall had a good selection but was not open at good times. Food options Only open from 1130- 9. Most days we’d leave hotel by 830/9 for excursions, hiking etc and when we got back around 9 at night all the food option were closed. In the morning the only option was the continental breakfast ( surcharge ) which was mostly breads and pastries. Would be nice to be able yo grab a hot breakfast before a long day on the trails. Overall hotel clean comfy and in a good location. Only downfall to our roof was bathroom shower has no door and is in the smaller side so when you showered everything in bathroom got soaked

Lots of food options! However not one safe thing for someone with a gluten allergy to have … had to go to a different town to find something. They have a breakfast included but it’s just sandwiches or yogurt parfaits which again not safe for gluten free. Other than that a very lovely hotel !

It was a very mixed experience to be honest. To put the positive sides first: If you're looking for a great variety of drinks and various kinds of foods you'll find an Icelandic Eldorado here. From Hveragerði there's plenty of opportunities to visit the typical marvellous places of the Golden Circle and many more. There are shops inside the hotel where you can buy clothes, souvenirs and more. There are shops around the hotel as well. But there have been more disturbing things about it in our opinion. The rooms were very basic and not very comfortable. They became quite hot during day and night, an open window couldn't handle that problem. Every night we had screaming people on the hotel floor next to our door, slamming doors and preventing sleep till late at night. We checked out before the actual end of our stay and fortunately got another hotel. The last day we had dozens of black flies in our room leaving as many itchy bites on our skin. Breakfast was below standard, if you want more special items you have to pay for it. Our conclusion: if you're a young hipster who loves to party all night, meet many people and just need a simple room you're at the right adress here. If you enjoy coziness, comfortable and cool rooms and prefer a good night's sleep we would not recommend it.

The theme & design of the hotel was excellent. However, there were a number of things we didn't like: Eateries were in the food hall only. Although a wide choice was offered it was often crowded & noisy. Not always wanted. A quiet ample sized main restaurant should have been present in addition to the food hall: offering breakfast & dinner options. If you wanted that you were advised to go to the hotel opposite. Which incidentally was very expensive. Therefore, no meals included in the price. No housekeeping included in price for nearly £200. For 4 nights no change of sheets etc. Although we could request fresh towels etc. This is the first time that I have been to a hotel without housekeeping as part of the room price. Das Hotel hat für uns perfekt gepasst, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut! Das Einzige, was wirklich schade war, dass es keinen roomservice gibt (die Zimmer werden auch nicht während des Aufenthalts gereinigt). Eigentlich würde ich mir das von einem Hotel wünschen/erwarten. Aber ansonsten war alles klasse! 👍

We loved this hotel! Comfortable, casual and very pleasant. We chose it in part because of the food court in the lobby. That made the hotel an even better choice! It was fun and we enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. Hung out there at night for hours - guilty of staying until closing. lol. Seems popular with the locals too. The casual atmosphere totally fit our type of trip which involved a lot of hiking. Our rooms were spacious, clean and had large windows overlooking the beautiful scenery.

This place seemed brand new! We were very lucky to get a room at the last minute. The front desk staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was tasty too! I wish I had realized we could request cappuccino or americano at the counter. Instead I drank plain coffee. I’m still not sure if the counter coffee would have cost extra, I’ll find out next time we return. Thank you for a great night sleep.
