The Greenhouse Hotel

The bed was unbelievably comfortable. I stayed for one night but wished I was staying longer just for the bed.

Good location by car. The room was quiet and beds comfy with down comforters. There were a good variety of options at the breakfast and the coffee was good. There is a brewpub and a warm/hotwater swimming hall at walking distance from the hotel. As well as supermatket, wine shop and nice bakery. I would recommend this hotel.

We left a day early even though we had paid 2 nights. Was not aware that there was no dedicated restaurant only “fast food” and that the hotel was in an industrial/commercial area with no dedicated bar. It was full of drunk people and the host at the Yuzu Burger bar was rude. The shop area was lovely and the reception staff were polite. We had a suite, but was very basic with wallpaper peeling off the walls. It was freezing cold for hours until we realised that no heating had been put on for our stay and we had to do that ourselves. I think your advertising for this hotel is misleading and am requesting a full refund as really hated it and was in tears. I did not want to complain to reception as they were polite. For the record i have travelled extensively in Iceland and this was the worst hotel i have stayed in.
