Cierran las 2 barras de la alberca a las 6:00 y ya no hay bebidas solo en lobby bar. Y los camastros de la playa los recogen a las 8:00 y ya no puedes estar mas en playa. De que sirve pagar el todo incluido si las bebidas me las van a quitar a las 6:00 pm. Tambien para comer snacks en el area de alberca me piden estar en una mesa, no puedo comer en camastros e igual cierran esos snacks a las 6 pm. No regreso

We got extra perks because we booked through Expedia. The Al a Carte Restaurants were very good for dinners and easily booked through the Elite Club. We could go to 5 pools, but only 2 were heated. Great gym, beautiful pools. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Buffets were disappointing and the Pergola Restaurant was like a cafeteria, no atmosphere. Not much for evening entertainment.

Cid Castilla was very clean, staff was very attentive, rooms are a great size, AC and fan worked great! Plenty to do around. Only bad thing in order to get a chair at pool you must go down at 7am to get your towel and put on a chair like everyone does or else they are taken all day. Beach is super full every day, no room to lay and relax.

Awesome heated middle pool. Wish at least 2 pools were heated. Food was hit and missed. Tiered bracelet system was confusing. Never was totally clear what we could/couldn't access. Only able to get reso's for one ala carte the whole week (unless we ate at 9 pm)

Location is the only good thing about this place. Hotel is old and it shows. Bed mattresses and pillows are hard and uncomfortable. When getting ready for bed pulled down comforter and sheets on bed were disgustingly stained. when we asked for them to be changed there was about a 20 min wait in sending someone up it was probably about nine in the evening and we were tired from a long day of travel and just wanted to go to bed, but finally someone came up to change them. That person said that that was normal and they are told to still use those sheets on the beds. We also had another instance in one of their restaurants of dirty table placemats that were used on the table we sat at and were told they were washed that morning and those are just stains and we’re OK to use. We told them to take them off the table and we would not use them. Food quality is mediocre. Staff members seem to not be well trained in customer care for the hospitality industry, making guests wait excessively for things when there should not be a wait. We will not be coming back to this resort.

Upon stepping into the room, the strong odor of filth and dirt hit me. I called the front desk to cancel my reservation, but they told me the person handling refunds was unavailable. Despite not knowing if I would get my money back, I left the hotel immediately. I couldn't fathom how people could tolerate staying there; the sensation of bugs crawling was unsettling.

The resort is very clean and the view of the ocean is amazing. The food for the buffets was about average for a resort buffet. We had plenty of walkable options for amazing food. The cleanliness was amazing. The staff was always willing to help with whatever you needed. Definitely will be going back again

The food was awful You could not book into any a la carts as they were all booked Our room had several issues -safe wouldn’t lock -no towels we’re left one day -tv had 1 channel - no hot water for shower The money exchange was never opened but always had 2 ladies behind the counter? Their excuses were they had no money to exchange They were balancing They were not open and for us to come back in 20 minutes?

The pool staff and dining staff (especially in the buffet) were very good. I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t really “play” at the other El Cid resorts. I found the public washrooms were not as clean as I would have expected. The food at the Argentinian restaurant was fabulous.

Cid Castilla was very clean, staff was very attentive, rooms are a great size, AC and fan worked great! Plenty to do around. Only bad thing in order to get a chair at pool you must go down at 7am to get your towel and put on a chair like everyone does or else they are taken all day. A group of us spent 4 nights at the property in September of 2024. We are between 52 and 71. It wasn't the correct property for us. It is really geared towards families, and multiple generations at that. We all live in Mexico and have proficient Spanish. The property is showing deferred maintenance, and, at times, was really dirty from the crowds. That said---the staff, to a person, were delightful. They were friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely be glad that we were there. Our biggest problem was that 3 of us booked with Expedia and the other two booked directly with the hotel. There was a marked inequity in the bracelets and the benefits that came along with them. We were constantly given incorrect information on what we could/could not do, where we could/could not eat. On the last full day---the two who didn't book with Expedia paid for an upgrade. Well, due to poorly advised staff members, this resulted in an even bigger problem. They jumped levels above us. It was a problem when they were assured we could all go to the marina for dinner. Once we arrived, the staff had to tell us that this wasn't the case. We could join our newly upgraded friends for dinner but would have to pay the menu prices. We did this, it was never about the money. The real problem is that there was never one clear explanation of the levels of all-inclusive packages.

Went with my family for a two day trip been here numerous times in the past this time around it was horrible service from Yolanda a supervisor. ac was not working in the room when I called to complain about it since it was 90 plus degrees outside she worded it “as I want a free day at the hotel. Customer service skills is completely awful. I want to begin with saying I paid for this reservation ahead of time so this comment deeply offended me. I was referred here because of the exceptional service but that definitely not the case. Yolanda is a horrible person and lacks social skills.

We had an inexperienced staff member check us in. I was so upset at the process that I just wanted get to my room. I was checked in by 5 and waited an hour for a room that was never ready and just gave me a room that was clearly beautiful with a beach view. My kids were frustrated because we were waiting in the lobby for an hour. He didn’t explain anything about the facilities but I was already ready to enjoy Mazatlán. The hotel was amazing even the service. The check in staff was my only issue.

The location in the Golden Zone right on the ocean is great. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We did not care for the food, however. There are many peddlers and mariachi bands on the beach outside of the resort which isn’t unique to this hotel, but it can be a little overwhelming if you’re trying to relax.

This was our first visit to this hotel. We enjoyed the beach access and all the snack/food options at this hotel and the sister hotel adjoining. It was centrally located for other food options, souvenier shopping and ease to other areas of town. If you don't mind the bandas playing most of the day and some times the night, this was a great stay for us. Our only gripe is to update the bathroom area of our room (toilet/shower). Otherwise, we would return to this location.

The food was average for AI. The beach property would be better if the banda was not so disturbing all afternoon. I know that this out of the hotels hands but it is very annoying. No relaxation when they are all competeing with each other and some of the guests are allowed to bring an extra large speaker and blare their music on the hotel area of the beach.

I like the golf club is across the road. The staff are very friendly. Amazing views of the ocean. So many activities on location and off. I’ll go back and recommend it. All inclusive or go eat out.

The beach location was convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food buffet was not good at all. They did have some good dinner restaurants. Lots of kids and very loud. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is not the place. It was like being on a cruise ship without the ship. The all-inclusive for the drinks was worth it. Not for the food. There were a number of good restaurants that were close and very reasonably priced.

The view from our 14th floor balcony was outstanding. Our stay was 3 weeks and 3 times we needed to call down for a new access number for wifi. Much more convenient to have it for the entire 3 weeks. The location of the hotel is great. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. The pulmanias are the best invention. Such an easy way to get around.

The buffets were average/below average. I had hair and egg shells in my AM eggs. Dinners at restaurants were good. No music on the beach so the brass bands (tuba, trombone etc) would blast super loud and try to play louder than the next band. Disturbing. We couldn’t hear the beach or waves. The buildings are a little run-down but the cost was low on the stay so it was what we expected.

Hotel and staff were fairly good; the drinks were bottom shelf licor specially the tequila which is what I prefer. Beer was warm and the mixed drinks did not have much liquor. I did enjoy the food but if you want a particular drink I suggest you bring your own liquor and avoid being disappointed. Bartenders were friendly and hard at work but they can only do so much with cheap liquor.
