The Azteca Inn is located in the Golden Zone (Zona Dorada) of Mazatlan and is close to all major restaurants and the beach. It has a neat bar that is very well-known among gringos of Mazatlan, and a pool, and a parking lot which is really convenient if you travel by car. The room is small but has everything you need. The furniture is a bit old, and the bathroom requires some attention and remodeling. Other than that - not too bad for a motel.

El acceso a playa esta a una cuadra y media, hay minisuper aun lado, hay restaurantes mas dirijidos a nivel socioeconomico medio alto y alto o extranjeros, pero tambien hay lugares alrededor mas accesibles y tambien comida rica a mejor precio. Dentro del hotel hay personal amable en general, la alberca limpia, cuartos limpios, aunque el ruido del ambiente se escucha en las habitaciones aun cerradas. Limpieza adecuada. Costo por noche ligero alto aunque lo vale por la cercania y accesibilidad de las amenidades.

Excelente lugar para hospedarse, a muy buen precio , lo unico que fallo fue que la alberca dn tiempo de navidad y año nuevo está muy helada el agua , el restaurante del hotel excelente comida super recomendado !!

We stayed for 2 weeks in February 2024. The room is on par with a Motel 6 and set up the exact same way. The rooms are very small, but clean. Some very much older furnishings. Our lamp was screwed to the end table to not be stolen, which was weird. lol The beds were fine. The pool is not heated and is mostly in the shade so you cant swim in it, only look at it. The area is convenient to bars and restaurants. To use the beach, though, you have to rent a spot/chairs/table/umbrella for about $20 - $25/day plus tip and you have to go through a public access cuz The Playa Maz wont let you go through their building if not a guest. We were stopped by the security immediately and rerouted. We often would just stop at Joes Oyster bar for a beer before hitting the beach to avoid the walk, cuz we be old and lazy like that. lol I would rate this as an average, hotel with VERY small rooms and a pretty good location if you dont want to stay on the beach.

la habitacion estaba muy enpolvada en las cabeceras de las camas los muebles, cucarachas en el baño, un olor a viejo. el restaurante muy bien los meseros muy amables y servicio rapido. la alberca muuy fria.. pero bien.. los huespedes muuuy ruidosos, aunque bueno eso no tiene nada que ver con el hotel.. pero no podia dormir porque habia una familia muy numerosa pero muy grande y tenian mucho ruido.

I have no complaints about the hotel...it was very friendly...good location...kept clean....older hotel but well maintained. Mostly mexican tourists stay there....it was quite noisy but that didn't bother me as Mexico is noisy almost all the time. Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room but other than that i was pleased

The Azteca Inn did not disappoint. The only thing lacking is a mini-fridge. Staff were awesome! They’ll even teach you some Spanish. Close to everything and most importantly, close to the ocean.

The furniture is a bit old, and the bathroom requires some attention and remodeling. Other than that - not too bad for a motel.

Excelente lugar para hospedarse, a muy buen precio , lo unico que fallo fue que la alberca dn tiempo de navidad y año nuevo está muy helada el agua , el restaurante del hotel excelente comida super recomendado !!
