The hotel is nice from the outside I didn’t like the parking lot because is not in the hotel,you need to cross the road and is dangerous and is for two hotels,kitchen drawers were falling apart,the first day the bathroom didn’t have towels,they have too many rules,and some of the stuff in the front desk were rude,Imary was the only lady who was nice in the front desk,

Uno de los elevadores del edificio alto no sirve, por lo que el otro se tarda años en llegar y Cuando llega viene ocupado del personal de servicio. No hay internet, solamente wifi pero sin internet, las toallas del área de albercas se terminan a cada rato, el check in es a las 3 pm y me hicieron esperar hasta las 4 pm

We have stayed at the hotel on annual vacations for 30+ years. The location in the Golden Zone is fantastic and the pool area is one of the best in the area. However, there have been minimal if any upgrades to the rooms in that time. They have removed the water dispensers that used to be available on each floor so you now have to buy bottled drinking water. There are televisions in the room, but we had no English speaking channels this year. The rooms are clean, but the decor is old and shabby. This year, there were dripped and splashed paint/whitewash on the floors , walls, and artwork. The beachfront loung areas are fantastic, though security did not allow us to enjoy our coffee and pastries from a nearby shop on the pool patio. Any food ordered at the pool is now prepared at the poolside snack bar, and is not up to the quality it was when it was prepared by the restaurant. The Ceviche is excellent, but other items were cold or dry and overcooked. They seem to now cater more to the locals and those with all-inclusive stays than foreign visitors. The hotel seemed to clear out many of our favorite staff members about 6 or 7 years ago. We are no longer treated like an old friend, but the new staff, while not the same, is still friendly and attentive.

Second time staying here & I just love it. So convenient, beautiful views, tidy rooms & very wide space ranged rooms as well. Love the staff here very friendly & accommodating. My favorite part is the pool & bar.

The property had a great view of the ocean and the islands. After a few bumps after check in, we were moved to another room and we liked it better. For the price they charge, the property should be better maintained. The room was not very clean. There was mold in the bathroom. The safe box was broken. We were promised a new one but never got one. After we demanded a new room, we were moved to a new one. The safe box worked but the fridge did not. I don't think i will stay here again. Expefia should do a better job monitoring the properties advertised in your app.

Mi experiencia fue un poco desagradable ya que el wc se encontraba tapado y cada vez que íbamos al baño no bajaba y teníamos que hablar a recepción para que nos resolvieran el problema , al mandarnos al personal encargado destapaba el baño y salpicaba mucha agua sucia la cual ya no acudían a limpiar , por lo que nosotros con toallas lo realizábamos , el baño creo que se encontraba en malas condiciones ya que se tapó como 7 veces al grado que decidimos mejor ya no ir al baño del cuarto e ir a los de uso general , aparte que el cuarto se olía muy feo y teníamos que dormir con ese olor , lo único que nos resolvían era en ir a destaparlo pero no funcionaba, las instalaciones muy bien pero el baño del cuarto nos causó desagrado y no nos llevamos una buena experiencia

The rooms are dirty and in bad shape. The rooms need to be completely remodeled and the mattress was old and full of stains. The corners on the floor look like there is mold buildup. And the grouting on all the floors look like mold and dirt. I would never recommend that anyone stay at this location!!!

Been going here for 30 years but the property needs some deep cleaning, basic maintenance at a minimum if not a major renovation it is very tired now. Hot water would come and go. The staff are amazing but they can only do so much the owners need to spend some money on the building.

La habitación limpia, la cama y baño igual limpios, la atencion fue buena y rapida, los pros; limpieza, atencion rapida y amable, cama comoda, junto al mar , playa bonita. Contras: las puertas y ventanas de las habitaciones son algo antiguas, asi que el ruido pasa muy fácilmente, las tvs son pequeñas en las habitaciones, asi mismo los muebles son algo pasados de tiempo, pero en general muy buen hotel.

The facility needs repair. Specially the air conditioning system. It was leaking and very cold. We couldn’t adjust the temperature. The hotel is in a good location. Close to the beach and restaurants.

We love Costa de Oro for the well kept grounds, the pool area and restaurant, its location and staff. Our only complaint is that the rooms are extremely dated. All the bedding needs to be updated, the paint job in the rooms are terrible and the furniture needs to go. We mainly stay there for the views, location and the staff. If you’re looking for a nice room, this place is not for you.

They won’t refund the all inclusive even if you don’t use it. They will tell you they will but then make you contact Expedia and when Expedia calls them to try to get the approval they reject it. Their dining services are very limited. There as only one restaurant open. The restaurants need to be reserved 24 hours in advance, but they are all booked so you only have access to buffet and snack bar that’s open limited hours therefore making the dining experience not worth it. Drinks and food are extremely cheap so you are better off paying what you consume as you go. The food outside of the hotel down Zona Dorado is amazing, down miss out by just dining with the resort. When you book beach front suites you are limited to a small area of the hotel which makes it look very consolidated. The staff at the pool, buffet, and rooms are excellent. The front desk and manager can improve their customer service.

My sister and I felt discriminated due to not being with our spouse to decide to purchase time share. Someone call to our room saying we had a courtesy breakfast, woked us up, we rushed down the stairs n this lady said if we were with our spouses or single they could of offered a breakfast after going over a time share deal the hotel was offering. I think that was so wrong. I felt offended by it because this lady say thank you, booted us out with no breakfast. I couldn’t believe it. Why doing that to people? Other than that the hotel was amazing, clean and big! The ventilation kind of noise , It annoyed me at times it was on the whole time we were there. Other than that little issues. It was fine. I hope next time staff treats me better.

Loved all the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean would have liked a mini fridge in the garden view rooms fun actiivities like yoga and water aerobics beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean easy to exchange money at front desk and wonderful massages at hotel for a very affordable price. great value for the money

Staff at the front desk has terrible customer service. Room was is terrible shape. Leaking a/c unit puddles of water all over the floor. Also ceiling was leaking. I informed the front desk about my concerns and no personnel went to check the room . Also a/c was terrible

I have stayed at the Costa De Oro so many times. It has been 12 years since my last visit. Although many of the staff I loved have moved on, the service continues to be great. The front desk night staff Jorge and Augustin are so professional, helpful, and welcoming. Luis at the pool offered us excellent service. And we cannot forget to mention Eduardo, Juan Carlos, and Salomon at Adobes who took excellent care of us and have so much pride in the work they do. The location is great, pool is clean, and walkable to so many places. I've come both with friends and with family. It is accommodating to both.

Loved that it was ocean front and our room was right above the beach. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many good restaurants and the staff was friendly. We did not like that there is no heat in the rooms, we hit a cold spell, many nights went down to about 11 degrees C. The hotel did provide extra blankets which did help.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Costa de Oro hotel in Mazatlán. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view. The staff members were all friendly and always ready to help. The ceviche we ordered at one of the restaurants was delicious. However, we were not very impressed with the breakfast buffet at the hotel. The variety and quality of the food could be improved. Thank you!

I didn't like that for the all included you had to get up and go eat at the buffet, couldn't order in the pool area or to go. This really sucks, I have children and it was difficult to get them dress after swimming to go fetch good.

Nos gusto que el hotel tiene variedad de restaurants el desayuno buffet del hotel esta excelente asi como el sushi y los snaks, hay tambien restaurants cerca del hotel, la ubicacion del hotel es muy buena, cuenta con alberca y playa, el personal muy atento. Las habitaciones estan muy retro el diseño muy viejito por ser un hotel con 50 años, como que no han tenido remodelaciones sin embargo son muy amplias y limpias. Mi unico tema fue una gotera del clima en el area de cocina, nos comentaron que era por el clima de afuera y por abrir puertas y ventanas pero no fue el caso porque la habitacion se mantenia cerrada solo se abria la puerta en salidas y entradas que es lo normal.

My family stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. The food was decent, pool was great and the view was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is how stiff the beds were. I woke up each morning in pain.
