Travelodge by Wyndham Golden Sportsman Lodge

The room was clean. The area was well lit at night. There were eggs for breakfast. The bed was comfortable.

Rooms were wonderful; clean and recently refreshed and the staff were very friendly. However, there were two disappointments; no pool and poor breakfast. Unfortunately the pool was closed for the weekend we were there due to maintenance. There was no record of the planned work when we booked and we had booked this hotel because of the nice looking pool with its circular slide. Very disappointing for the kids. Apparently Hotels.com was informed of the pool work 5 days before our stay and we were not informed. The breakfast was also disappointing as it consisted of scrambled eggs and toast or pancakes … no sausage or bacon or hash browns. The coffee machine was good but the juices are heavily watered down. So much so that you could barely make out the orange juice as orange. It was the same for the apple juice. I’ve given this hotel 3 stars because the room was clean and comfortable but it’s too bad the poor food and closed pool is what our family will remember. We visit Golden regularly but will not be staying at this hotel on the next trip.

Property is outlived,breakfast is in a crowded room. No restaurant.

Very pleased but parking could be improved.
