Parking was secure. Kitchen was fully equipped. Room was very spacious. The only complaint was there was very little water pressure in the shower. We were on the top (penthouse) floor so that might have had something to do with it.

Staff was excellent! They however need to upgrade website as Moxies resturant no longer exists in hotel and the pool and gym were closed! The amenities were a big reason for booking room for 4 days and it left us disappointed!

The property was under construction, but they seemed to be doing all possible to minimize impact. This was my first of 2 stays in the same week. For this stay i had one of the older rooms but was placed higher up in the tower so no real construction noise. The room was clean and comfortable although dated (ergo the renos). Staff was friendly and quick checkin. The only drawback that won't change even after construction is there is virtually nowhere to park to checkin. There is a laneway ar the hotel entrance that is to narrow to permit parking as it is the roadway from one side of the building to the other. One side of the building has a restaurant with clear signage that parking is for restaurant guests only and violators will be towed. On the other side of the building is hotel parking that is designated large vehicle parking only and was generally always full with large trucks. The only empty spot was handicap parking. There is an underground parking area but no signage guiding guests to checkin parking so a little confusing if you are not familiar with the property. Once checked in, you can use your room key for access to a secure underground parkade.

After parking on the P2 level, there were two doors leading to the elevator. However, there was no sign indicating which door led to the elevator, so I entered the door on the right. Unfortunately, that door led to a stairway, and when I tried to exit, I found the door was locked, and I couldn't get out. I ended up having to ask a passing customer for help by knocking on the glass. This experience was very inconvenient, and it also raised safety concerns. If the door leads to a stairway, there should have been a clear sign indicating "Stairs," but there was none, which added to the confusion.

Property was ok. A good deal for the price. Room was clean but the maintenance of the rooms seemed pretty amateur. Needs some drywall work, paint and caulking. could be better but price is right and staff were great. FYI trucks won't fit in underground and limited outside parking.

They are in the middle of renovations so some floors are inaccessible limiting room availability. Although they make it up with their friendliness and dedication to your stay. I wish they had EV charging for J1772 plugins. Parking is TIGHT.

Unsecured parking. Parking lot broken up concrete. Closed restaurant. It was really rundown and just kinda eerie. Staff was friendly and helpful. It seemed like it was still in the middle of Covid and everything was falling apart. Quality of rooms and beds weren’t worth the price. Just uncomfortable

We stayed in one of the Penthouse suites, which was less expensive then most regular rooms in the greater Vancouver area. Large bright room with a living area, full kitchen, and separate bedroom with king bed. Walking distance to Guildford mall and restaurants, yet close to number 1 for easy quick trip to downtown Vancouver. 10 minute drive to skytrain station with a large amount of public parking. The room was very clean the furniture appeared new. Was very quiet. Free secure underground parking.

The staff was nice and helped us change rooms when our first one was dirty. The property is under renovation and dirty in spots. The lobby had a lot of mosquitos! The AC is only in the living areas in all rooms and the bedrooms have fans which are pretty much useless on warm summer days. We were there mid July and the fans didnt help at all so the bedroom was hot and we couldnt sleep. They just sent a technician to teach us how to use the fan but nothing beyond that.

It was very dirty in our room. Bedding was dirty. We stripped the bed and used our own. We also had no bedding for the pullout couch which was gross too and the mattress was awful. We had 3 adults and the stay was not the greatest.

The hotel is old, the rooms and furniture is old and I see remodelling signs but I think it is only the lobby. We got the penthouse and the space was great but again, all old furniture- although clean. Great view. I did love the robes and the slippers they provided.

The hotel rooms are a bit shabby. But overall clean. Major complaint is that there was no AC unit in the bedroom portion of the suite. The AC unit was in the separate living room. So we had to keep the door between the bedroom and living room open all night so that it would stay cool. They should have separate ductwork for each room. The location however was great and convenient.

The room was clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The major concern was the hide-a-bed. It was so uncomfortable that 2 guests ended up sleeping on the cushions on the floor. Other than that, the room was satisfactory and met our needs.

Honestly, I liked just about everything about Sandman. Clean, quiet and friendly staff. I've spoken to 4 different staff members while I was there, and they're all friendly and respectful. That's a plus in my book. I'm definitely going to stay there again when I'm in Surrey.

Check in was super easy and fast. The individual who checked us in was so friendly and went above and beyond. She even called the room 30min after we checked in to make sure everything was to my liking. And brought us extra blankets and pillows that evening as well as my daughter who was cold. I will definitely be making this my go to every time I'm in Surrey. Room was updated and very clean.

Awful - give this a big pass. Undergoing renovation but no notice about this or alternate services available. When I asked about the advertised business services, was told to go to the mall across the road. No help or support for the business services that are required for the next day either. At a minimum I would’ve hoped for a late checkout so that I could continue to work in the room. I asked to speak to the manager and was promised he would phone me the next morning. When that didn’t happen I went down and asked again and was told he was in a meeting and will call me afterwards… Still waiting…

It is my 2nd time to stay. This recent one was fine but on my 2nd day, the staff (not sure if that was the manager), knocked on my door using his keys so it wasn't that obvious it was a knock. I checked to make sure it was a knock and the guy already opened the door to my room. He was with a crew of people, telling me that they are there to change the curtains. He said he knocked 3 times. I told him, he cannot just open the door. He should have informed it to me by phone call or proper notification ahead of time. When guests are occupying rooms, they should not conveniently decide to change curtains or whatever they need to do in the room in just a whim. I could have personal items that may be all over the place in the kitchen and living room. Or I maybe sleeping or in the shower and be surprised to see people inside the room. Keys used for knocking at the door, could hardly be heard. and considered like light knocks or scratching.

I called in for early checkin, they told me to come at 1, i came at 1:30 and there was shift change the the desk and the person was like, you need to come back at 4. I drove all the way from downtown what do you expect me to do till 4? Ridiculous, they dont even communicate, he said rooms were not ready, after an argument i was told to come in 20 mins. What a joke having the room and not letting the guest in.
