There is no lake view to start. Its a dried up pond. The hot tub was dirty and they dont have a real firepit. They have a propane one but the staff didnt know how to turn it on when we were there. I felt a little misled with this property. The pictures do not match what you get if you enjoy amenities.

Really great for family or groups. So many activities to do on the property including a sunken lounge with board games. A private room with a table to play cards or board games with friends, a mini disco, seceret arcade behind a trap door book shelf, ping pong table, playground, mutilple fire pits, a walk down to the mud flats, a massive hot tub/sauna and bike/surf rentals and surf lessons available in house! They also have a spa area you can book. The restaurant in the restaurant also has fantastic food. If you are looking for a truly unique experience I would highly recommend Hotel Zed Tofino!

We had a very relaxing stay at Hotel Zed. It's a small resort with a number of amenities, including a restaurant, hot tub, a games room (including a *hidden* arcade, a playground "for all ages", and a rental shop for bikes and surfing. Our room was super clean, no issues. The hotel staff were very helpful, very kind, and definitely had a client-first attitude. In particular the assistant manager (i forget his name) and hotel manager (Matt), who helped us out when our car battery died and he even gave me a lift to get the hardware store in town to get a spare battery for car keys. The property is a few minutes away from town, so a car or a bicycle is needed to get to "downtown" Tofino.

We booked here for double the price of a place without a hot tub. Then the hot tub wasn’t working :(((( no jets And the hours for the hot tub could have used another hour in the a.m. and in the p.m.

Where do I start. This hotel blew away any expectations I may have had. From the moment we walked in (4 adults 2 rooms), the staff at check were so welcoming. The breakfast at the restaurant ( breakfast poutine/fried chicken eggs benny) soooo good. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The amenities, these blew mind. From the old school games room, to the on site laundry, tetherball, fire pits, hot tub and sauna. All 10/10. Our rooms had king size beds, these were super comfy. The check out on Monday morning, again the staff were just amazing. I would not hesitate to stay here again as well as highly recommend to family, friends and coworkers. Well done guys, well done⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A little vacation at the sea. Zed Hotel has everything you need. The staff is super! Friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful. The food is excellent with serving staff again knowledgeable, also funny, and engaging. Only problem we experienced was the hot tub was out of service.

Hotel staff and restaurant staff were great. Property was clean. Ample parking available. Laundry facility was great. Coffee was excellent. Bedding was very comfortable. Cleaning needed to be done under the mattress. Sauna didn't appear to be working properly as it would not heat up well. There was also no bucket to add water to heater. Not enough towels available at hot tub. Instructions to run shower for warm water should be posted as people avoided the shower before entering hot tub because the shower was cold. Caulking around room mirror did not look great and it made the room feel cheap (311). Window for our room was hard to open and close.

Hotel Zed in Tofino is an awesome hotel, they’ve thought of every detail in the design up to rotary phones in your room. Everywhere you go there are plenty of little things to see and do. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again.

I had such high expectations for this hotel based on the reviews. I thought this would be our highlight. After a long road trip from Victoria we can in and a first glance i was like 'this looks like a motel'. I still thought inside would make up for it. We checked in and went to our double bunk room. My mood went from disappointment to sadness. The room was old, tacky and way to congested and tight. Could not even move around. It did not even look clean. This ruined my mood for the day. I went downstairs and asked if i could change and upgrade to a bigger rooom. They told me all rooms were basically the same size, only family suite was roomy. What a rip off joint. The arcade was garbage , pure trash. Old 80s arcade crap games. My son did not enter it one time. What this hotel did was make a many rooms a possible add some tacky gamrs for the lure and bam the profit would come in. Its a gimmick and pure trash. This a honest room review, this place sucks. Only good thing is the hot tub, which was beautiful. The walk through forest on the property was also not bad, but not great. One more thing i slmost forgot to me tion; my mom went to mske coffee and found the tea kettle was real dirty. We got a $20 discount after we brought it to the staffs attention. Anyhow do not stay here its trash.

This is a cool little hotel. The room was clean although the hallway rug was stained in several places. The room does not have air conditioning and the window only partially swings open but it was not a problem. Tofino tends to cool especially in the evening. Our room also had an interesting shower situation. It had a large shower that opened right into the room not into a bathroom. There were hooks in the shower to hang a towel or clothes. It would have been excellent if you were showering a small child with you. The staff was very pleasant when we arrived but the info we received was limited although we did get a property map. We found ourselves with many questions…how to get coffee for the room in the morning, what checkout time was, how to use the bike’s etc. There wasn’t info in the room. The hotel itself has some excellent vibes features- shuffleboard, ping pong, arcade games, a place by the mud flats to sit and relax, a hot tub, etc. I think this is an especially excellent place to stay with kids. There is a lot for them to do.

Fun hotel, loved the hot tub, games and other fun features, deck on the bay so peaceful in the morning. Beds were incredibly comfortable, great sleep! However, bathroom setup a bit awkward with shower opening into main part of room it lacked privacy for getting dressed and not ideal with teenagers. Was the only drawback to the hotel.

Poor water pressure, awful furniture in the room and a wooden bed base too big for the mattress so I walked into it a number of times and ended up with a bleeding leg at 2am on my way back from the bathroom. I expected a much better quality room at $800 per night. Staff were great but room was a total disappointment. And $20 for a glass of house white??? Will not recommend to anyone.

Overall, the coolest hotel we have stayed in. The vibes were very retro. The room was a nice size and the shower is amazing! No air condtioning in the room so we had to ask for another fan. The biggest disappointment was when we booked the hotel back in April, I messaged the hotel for a non pet room as I have allergies. When we arrived, we were informed that our room was not completely pet free and they did a deep clean of our room. The sauna and hot tub in nature was amazing and the inlet in the back of the hotel was perfect for paddleboarding. Hubby did surf lesson from Swell on the property and Ollie and Lynnae were amazing! Would stay again but communication with hotel could be better.

Very Cool hotel with the 70's themed decor. Rooms could be a bit better soundproofed, you can hear people walking above you. Also if above the restaurant, their music can be heard at times.

Our experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and obviously well trained. The hotel offered many fun and unique amenities, all free of charge. The ambiance was welcoming, the rooms spacious, clean and well appointed. The on-site restaurant, bar and coffee shop were top notch. It’s both kid and pet friendly, with an onsite playground, old school arcade games, board games, etc. live music on weekend afternoons. 10 minute walk to stunning Chesterman Beach, and a 5 minute drive to downtown Tofino. We’ll definitely be back.

Main reason I booked here was so I could just walk down to the restaurant for dinner however is was closed for maintenance. Went to the breakfast bar area at 8:30am and the young woman serving was completely useless and had absolutely no interest in answering any of my questions.

Directions to amenities could be better laid out and explained during check-in. Unfortunately, it was hard to find staff to check in, had to call the front desk through hotels.com to be able do so. During the stay, also had to call the front desk to be able to get in touch with staff to ask for additional information.

Overall good but the reception lady was a bit rude. If you're charging so much, at least be a bit polite. I have an EV and the charging really sucks so if you're booking, try finding a charging spot nearby. I asked for coffee at the bar and the guy forgot about it. Little things like these made me think the place was not for families to stay. The staff wasn't super professional but at least they could've been a bit more welcoming and helpful.

The hotel has everything that should make a hotel great. Good for kids and lots of fun ideas. However staff were slow and unresponsive (apart from one your lady with long dark hair who was great). We spoke to the same lady on the desk a number of times and it just felt like the lights were on but no one was home. Lots of smiles but felt we weren’t being listened to. We requested towels for the hot tub four times before getting them. The bar was slow too. Cool location and in principle this place should be great. We’ve stayed at 2 Fairmonts before arriving here which were nicer and cheaper. Hotel Zed is very over priced for what it is. Wouldn’t recommend it personally …

Funky hotel, great location, free shuttle stop out front to Tofino, quick walk to Chesterman beach. The restaurant has amazing food. There is a French press in the room and a kettle. They give you little mason jars of coffee, cream, milk and tea for the room. There is a refrigerator in the room. Really worth a visit.

Property is looks new annf definitely funky in its decor and is modern. But, it is located a bit out the main area of Tofino. Check in was quick. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Wes at front desk and Brock (the kiwi), the maintenance guy. Brock helped us switch out a tire on our vehicle. Thank you very much Brock for getting our suv to be able to safely drive to Nanaimo.

Excellent design of the hotel and all details. Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the closest beach. Self parking and very easy. There is outdoor jacuzzi to relax in the complex. Staff are friendly. There are outside restaurants about 30 minute walk away.

We absolutely loved our experience at Hotel Zed. Its fun, lively atmosphere was just one of the many things we enjoyed. The staff and customer service was amazing. The food was exceptional, overall we would highly recommend.
