Great staff and the gym is two floors full of amazing equipment. Better in person than the photos of the website. Very clean and nice rooms. Lovely beach out front of the hotel. The included breakfast buffet had great variety.

What a beautiful way to see Tofino! Excellent location right on Mackenzie Beach, and every room has the ocean view and balcony. Spacious comfortable room and beds. Included breakfast was excellent, hot, fresh, good variety and quality. We couldn’t use the fire pits due to the provincial fire ban but they looked really nice. The hot tub is small and sometimes crowded. But overall a wonderful stay!

Loved the walk out to the grass area and on to the beach. Perfect location and set up with a dog! Resort and housekeeping staff so friendly and accommodating. It was my birthday during our stay and they went out of their way to make it very special. Restaurant food and drinks were top notch. It was nice to have a little cooking area and coffee in our room too. The only downfall was the hot tub was closed during our stay and I would have loved to sit in the hot tub! Overall a fabulous place and it had everything we needed or wanted and will definitely stay again :)

Hotel is clean and the location is amazing. Good for dog owners. Hot tub is not really hot though. Breakfast is okay but during our stay there was only one staff and even thought she did her absolute best with a smile, she had hard time to keep filling up.

Due to my mobility issues, we purposefully chose this property for the hot tub overlooking the ocean. We even phoned ahead of time to make sure it was operational. Unfortunately, they closed it on the Monday of the long weekend for repairs with no advance notice or compensation. Very disappointing. Other than that, the resort and restaurant were wonderful.

Found the hotel very pleasant, clean, great location. My only issue is you had to pay for wood if you wanted to start outside fire and for the sauna as well.

Beautiful property. Stunning beach setting. Only complaint is that it was a very special stay... for my sons 1yr death anniversary, and the room was very dirty. Brought the concerns to front end staff, and they were quick to take care of it, however it could have and should have been all avoidable to begin with. Considering the situation, i feel as though some sort of compensation is not out of the question!!

Access to the beach is extremely easy if on a ground floor room. However, the floor of our room however was not clean. Sand and dog hair everywhere. I understand the sand. You're literally steps from the beach. Because it was vinyl plank flooring it wouldn't have hurt to run a mop across the floor. Upon further inspection, there was dog hair literally everywhere. Slept with a t-shirt over the pillowcase. I'm not a dog person so I will never understand why the dog has to come everywhere. Dogs. I guess it was better than cats. Oh people.

The bed was very comfortable, the food in the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were friendly & helpful. However, there was no privacy in the room, which had huge windows onto a common lawn and anyone walking past could see in. It was inappropriate to close the drapes during the day and net curtains would have solved this issue. Curiously, everything in the room was too short - the clothes rail, the drying line, the ironing board and even the shower curtain that meant the water from the shower flooded the bathroom floor. The room servicing needed more attention to detail, for example, the puddle in the bathroom was ignored, our mugs were not cleaned on the first morning, and the milk was not replenished on the second. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant place to stay with beautiful surroundings

It’s a nice hotel, easy access to the beach Rooms were clean, area around is well maintained Disappointed about the morning breakfast. It’s nice that it’s included in the stay but it was not hot, it was warm barely edible. The dining room was cold so the food got cold very quickly. We had the room clean one morning, they did a great job of cleaning up and making the beds but the glasses and cups were left unwashed or changed. It would’ve been nice to have fresh cups and glasses to drink from. The kitchenette is nicely stocked with coffee machine and a kettle, microwave. Mini fridge but no freezer in the mini fridge Overall we had a good stay !

Rooms could use a sheer curtain. Was on the ground floor and closing the curtain meant no longer able to view the beach and a dark room but opening meant no privacy from passersby on the path. For a the price a happy medium and a sheer. Ritson would be greatly appreciated.

A very nice option for staying in the Tofino area. Room was neat and tidy, the bed very comfortable, had a great few nights sleep. The included breakfast was tasty, with a couple of different foods every day. Plenty of seating also. The view was very relaxing, and a short walk down to nice sandy beach. The available fire pits and barbeques is also a nice option. The only downsides we had were a rather smallish bathroom, and not very good room lighting. Both of which were offset by the many other pluses the facility had to offer. Would definitely book the Tin Wis again!

Great view from the room overlooking the water. Amazing access to the beach for a nice stroll along the waves. Cool fire pits to relax at a the sun goes down and the temperature cools. Such a great property with a very cool vibe!

The best part about the day was the view. The fold out bed in the loft suite was incredibly uncomfortable, and we were unable to sleep on it. But they will charge you for every person staying in the rim above two people even though it sleeps six I imagine they do that to cover the breakfast cost, but the breakfast wasn’t good. Either scrambled eggs made from liquid egg, which was more like a scrambled loaf, sausages that left a very strange taste in your mouth, and packaged waffles that had hard clumps of sugar cubes in them.

The property is located on the ocean and all rooms have ocean view. The room was spacious and clean, with an electric fireplace that put out a good amount of heat, a well-stocked kitchenette, and comfortable bed. I was located on the second floor and was relieved to learn that there was an elevator to bring luggage to the room. The restaurant was good, hotel staff friendly, and it's not too far away by car from town. I would highly recommend a stay here and will revisit when I'm in the area.

Great waterfront property, rooms were nicely decorated, and breakfast was included which was a great convenience. The beach is spectacular, a nice walk even in the rain. Great beach for surfing. I will definitely be back!

We were able to check in 3 hours early. After requesting a ground floor room, we were offered one with a kitchenette. Free upgrade! After talking to the maintenance crew, it was suggested it was the manager Destiny who hooked us up. Her smile and vibe was such a great start to the trip and we found ourselves choking back tears after seeing our room.

We came for a three night stay. At first it was great, we were so busy with a family wedding, we spent very little time in the room. On the third day, wedding was wrapped up and we had more time to chill. A storm had started and Tofino lost power, so no fault of the hotel. However other hotels have a back up generator and this one seemed to have no back up plans. So we literally sat in the dark all night until sometime in the middle of the night when the community got the power back on. When I went to get an update from front staff, they were rude. They didn’t put a sign on the front door, yet yelled at me for opening the front door and said I should use the side door. I didn’t even know the side door existed. They didn’t have any information to give and were rude when I asked questions. They wouldn’t allow me to check out and get a credit for the last night. They wouldn’t offer any information on where we could go to eat dinner that might have back up power. And they were annoyed that I was asking any questions of them. There’s very little cell service at this hotel, so we relied heavily on the hotel wifi, but when that went out with the power outage, we had no way to do any research ourselves. So don’t book this hotel when there is a potential storm or power loss because they aren’t prepared. Up until the power loss, it was great.

It was my birthday and I got a lovely birthday card and a gift from the reception team. So thoughtful! We had a great stay. Room with terrace, so we could walk out of our room straight to the beach. Wonderful! Great restaurant, delicious food, helpful staff. Would book again!

Amazing staff! Amazing experience! It was out 20th anniversary and they even wrote us a nice card and gave us a bottle of wine. Which was so thoughtful, we enjoyed it on our patio watching the ocean. Would definitely stay here again!!

To wake up with that view to the sea is unbelievable. When we arrived, it turned out that something had gone wrong with our reservation. The staff in the frontdesk were helpful way over what was to be expected. Thanks a lot. We had a wonderful stay (and we loved the cosyness in the restaurant as well).

Although the restaurant staff were amazing, the hotel front desk staff were not friendly, helpful, or attentive. We had to wait for 30 minutes, while the front desk person was on the phone with someone. He did not acknowledge or apologize for making us wait for so long.

The view is absolutely beautiful! Incredible beach, and the grounds were very well kept. Even though the resort was at capacity, it still felt pretty private. They need to put a sign on the Highway for clearer directions. There is a sign for the "Social House" Restaurant, but not for the Resort. Just a little tidbit for those who drive past the entry :)

Location is great. Beachfront - like you literally wake up and walk down to the beach. Fire pits and perfect spots to star gaze. Also the hotel is located pretty much halfway between Long Beach and Tofino town so you’re pretty central and have access to all areas. Would stay here again and recommend to folks looking for a spot with easy access to a beach.

You can’t beat the location. It is ocean front - you don’t have to leave your room to see sunset. We got an ocean view room with balcony. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. She offered us the map and gave us lots recommendations on dining and things around the town. Highly recommend!

The room was lovely and the view of the pacific was exceptional. Doors open from the room onto the garden with a direct access onto the beach. However, the breakfast service let it down. When we arrived at the restaurant they had just let in a large group of walk-ins. This caused utter chaos in the restaurant which left guests, including us, without any clean crockery and utensils. This meant having cups of tea in cardboard cups and wooden cutlery for eating cereal and buttering toast. Not the standard we expected for £350.00 a night and not at all acceptable. Staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic during the chaos that had evolved. Many elderly people were struggling to find plates, bowls and utensils. Residents of the hotel should always come first rather than allowing outsiders in which then compromises the satisfaction of residents.

We liked the location the most. It was right on MacKenzie Beach and the views were amazing. The room was ok, nothing special, but had a musty odor. We opted to have breakfast included in our package and were looking forward to it but were disappointed. It was cold and the tables were all dirty. We had to clean our own table. Even the coffee was terrible. We would have liked to use the hot tub but it was under maintenance when we tried. Overall, not worth $700/ night. Would try elsewhere next time.
