The pictures in property description are not at all accurate. There is no gazebo, that I thought would be a good place to read a book or visit with friends. The lobby is not at all accurate. And there is no hot tub. And they don’t mention the dates that the pool is open. Not till Memorial Day. And summer in NC starts way before then.

The outside of the property was super trashy. Used condoms in parking lot. The key pads to get into the hotel didn’t work. And you had to pay a $75 fee that was stated when booking on hotels.com

Comfortable renovated room with a window that cracks open for ventilation. Great shower. But bring your own snacks and maybe a small ice-chest. NO vending machines at this hotel and no fridge in the room. Quiet location near interstate. Tacky-looking corridors and meager breakfast.

No one at front desk at night, staff on phones, outlets don’t work in room, carpet musty and wrinkled (I tripped), elevator painfully slow, grounds in coffee, pool scummy, no chairs at business center, no snacks at fresh market, took act of god to get extra chair for room so I could work, did not get housekeeping for the 4 days we were there, giant pot holes in parking lot, refrigerator in room froze everything even though temp turned down, hairdryer falling off wall in bathroom, dirty walls. I’m sure this place was amazing 30 years ago!

Recent changes made with parking passes… a good friend of mine stopped by hotel to visit for less than 2 hours and we went outside to find her car missing in HOTEL LOT at 8:15-8:30pm approximately … her car was towed!!! Unbelievable!! It cost $350 to get it the next day! She lost a day of work and I paid for it… and I’m upset that there isn’t a more “forgiving” policy when a hotel just changes their rules suddenly… All we got was a piece of paper??!! Crazy! Hope to get this refunded!! Or something back!! Not sure if I can return to this place after that… unfortunately.

The pictures in property description are not accurate. There is no gazebo, and apparently never was one. There is not or ever has been a hot tub. The lobby does not have a huge couch. And the pool was closed till Memorial Day, but that’s not mentioned either. There is also no comfortable chair in the room, just a desk chair.

The rooms were very dirty the spider webs everywhere like you could write your hand in the dust on the walls the drain in the tub with clogged the check-in was not pleasant it's like we were bothering her the hallways were disgusting they smell like trash and they were very dirty there were obvious things in the carpet and trip hazards in the carpet we're head bubbled up

Disgusting property. Rundown pool was a swamp. The entire facility was gross broken elevator whole place smelled like weed loud food in the bed stains on the mattresses. Do yourself a favor and do not stay in the hotel.

Customer service was okay, assigned first room and it smelled like a wet damp room, come to my research-the AC in the room growing mold/mildew, immediately went downstairs to get another room. Assigned my next room and paint stains on the ceiling, went to the bathroom to put toiletries away, there were cockroaches on the wall and crawling around. Immediately checked out of the hotel in disappointment to go find another hotel, expensive due to it being the last minute. Front desk told me, ONLY if the exterminator finds something, a manager would call-no refund or anything, disappointing experience.

What I liked about the Property it was quiet & clean in the hallways & dining area. What I didn't like is that i had a mouse and they poop that they left around the microwave and bathroom area. Also, there were roaches in the bathroom & on the toilet bowl. I informed two reps at the front desk the Muslim lady & the night shift man I also have pictures that I presented to them. They stated that a manager will contact me on this matter..

The smell of stale old cigarettes and weed is so deeply entrenched in the carpet of this hotel that it will never go away until the carpet is completely replaced. I'm glad I didn't have my kids with me. The cleaning was also not very thorough as fake eyelashes were found both in the mattress by the headboard and on the floor of the bathroom. I've stayed in La Quintas before which were nice, but I'll be taking a break from them for a while.

The staff was accommodating and responsive to any request. I had to change rooms after the first night. The hvac system was above the room, very noisy. The new room's sink and bathroom light didn't work. The sink was fixed but not the light. The walls in the bathroom needed some work. The room was clean and warm. Breakfast was good and the dining area was clean. The person doing breakfast kept it clean and stocked. I would stay there again.

I liked the price of the hotel compared to some others in the area. It was noticeable that there was an odor in the front lobby when my daughter and I walked in. The stairway had another different smell in it and the carpeting appeared old and dirty. Possibly where the smell was coming from. The carpet throughout appeared to be old and in need of either cleaning ore replacement. Bathroom doors in the room were more like cabinet doors that didn't close well. Really strange, as I've never seen that before. Room had an odd scent, but not nearly like the poop smell in the front lobby. When I went to my vehicle at night, there was a fairly large group of teenagers loitering outside the side exit door, which made things a bit uncomfortable. Then my card key would not reopen the door and had to walk around to the front to reenter. It was not a "bad" stay, but definitely could use some improvement. Breakfast was pretty good.

The room was decent for the price. I liked that. We had a nice view of woods out our window which was nice. The pool was closed while we were there which was not nice, but I forgot my bathingsuit anyway. The side door would not open from the outside, it was broken. So not convenient to getting to our room with luggage. The carts did not have a bar across the top so no way to hang clothing to avoid wrinles while bringing to room. The doors did not even seal so I could smell marijuana all through the halls and a little near my door because of the gap in the door when it was closed. Nice huge desk in room though. Loved that. Also, I did not receive a gift basket that was supposed to be delivered to the front desk. I don't know if that was ever delivered or if that was the hotel's fault or not. But I never got it. Street lights outside were strobing blinking, but thankfully they had a really effective double shade for the window which blocked out all light at night. Overall, it worked for what we needed and was a bit cheaper cost than the other hotel options we had to choose from even with discounts at those hotels for a wedding party discount. I would say this one is a little less quality hotel than other La Quintas I have stayed in though. Definitely need better doors that seal and side door needs to be fixed.

Good stay with friendly front desk personnel throughout my stay. A little more attention needs to be placed on coffee pot that gets cold quickly and on the carpet toward he elevator going to the room. My room was very clean and even cleaned when I made a request. What was missing was a comfortable chair. The tv is too small for this room. It’s not ergonomic when on the bed, worst seating on that chair. A better and bigger screen would make a better experience. Toilets have a perfect A+. The only thing in the comfort of the room is the chair, a softer would have made it much more comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and clean. The room overall needs a renovation mainly the bathroom. Everything seemed clean just the bathroom had rust in the bathtub, ceiling had water damage and the sinks water came out very fast. The hall carpet outside is coming up and needs replacing. Breakfast was basic including waffles, cereal, oatmeal and bagels. Front desk employees were somewhat friendly, I do want to give a shout out to a you d gentlemen at the front desk by the name James he was super helpful.

I paid for my 2 day stay ahead of time and arrived at 1am to find that my reservation no longer existed. In the 4 years of traveling to Chapel Hill from NY, I have never had this happen. We had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. I asked about the second day and they said my room did not exist. I am so upset and disappointed. And now this survey is asking about my stay!!! Wow

Overall good stay. Our first room did not have working AC. We called downstairs and the attendant came up right away. He was not able to get air fixed but he was prepared and moved us across the hall. Customer Service was Excellent

I was told at checkin that I had to pay a $75 deposit and charges had to stay on my card because they didn’t take cash. At checkout I was told the deposit would take 3-5 days to come off my card and that I should have read it on the paper posted at the counter. I was also told to get the parking pass out of my car and return it while checking out. A paper hanger with parking pass written on it with a magic marker. No trash can outside I case you need one. Friendly NO! Location not easy to access.

The check-in process took almost 40 minutes because there was only one person at the desk. Then i was overcharged, which I caught. The lady was reluctant to refund at that time and said she'd do it at check out but after me expressing my discomfort with this, she refunded it. If you overcharge someone you should correct the problem immediately. It was laziness and poor customer service.

No one knew the channels on the TV. No one knew how much laundry was on 3rd floor or payment or quarter availability. I requested a wake up call so not to miss my flight~ no phone call. I left something in the room was told someone would call me no one did and when I called again to check I asked was it found~ uhhh I said yes or yes despondently. 100% sure no one wanted to be there and could give a crap about the reason they were being paid to do their job~ other than the utter do not care from staff all else I would give a high rating customer service ruined it.

I have never been to this La Quinta location and I absolutely love it. It sits off the road get still close to everything as well as it’s by the railroad tracks which I thought was beautiful. The pool was nice and clean towels were offered, and there were parking stickers all of which I truly appreciated. We didn’t stay long, but I’ll stay was perfect. The beds were great. The room was very nice and I love looking out of the window to the courtyard. My cousin and I will remember this location the next time we visit relatives in Durham.

Do not park by the back door of this hotel. There are no lights or cameras. My car was vandalized during my overnight stay which has made an affordable stay much more costly with window replacement.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Knew immediately it was a bad idea but I went in anyway. The exterior of the property was very lacking. Was right beside a rail road track and assuming because of its location, by the tracks, looked as if transients were most all the time. There was losts of garbage on the ground at the entrance of the hotel. Walking into the hotel it smelled like Marijuana and looked like it was from the 1960s. The windows were dirty. I probably shouldn't have but gave it a try. Checked in and went to look at our room. It was horrible. It was so dated, dirty and need of repair. Curtains were broken, looked like blood on the window seal, bath tub was dirty and corner of the bathroom coming apart. Went back to the front desk and told them i couldn't stay there because i was not comfortable with the state of the hotel.

Overall it was good one however the next morning, breakfast was half missing. No eggs & sausage at all… was there at 7:15am for it but nothing (or fruit?)… Another guest walked out because much was missing that usually is offered. Stayed here before and it was good so thought we try again… not sure now.

Hotel was very dated but clean. Room was clean but again very dated. Hotel is in need of a make over, like new carpet throughout but it's safe and comfortable. It's a nice basic hotel for a few night stay. Breakfast isn't good. Watery powdered eggs and sad looking sausage. But if you're looking for somewhere clean and safe to stay, this place is pretty good

The staff were awesome, our room was super clean, breakfast was decent. Water pressure was terrible, first floor ice maker didn't work, elevator is super slow, carpet in hallways was lumpy, lots of sketchy people around.

Juliette and the breakfast staff, cleaning staff were very kind, hospitable, the coffee was running out every morning, but at least there was coffee. Thank you to the day shift staff, for being so curteous and accomodating.

Great stay. Clean, quiet, and fantastic for the price. This will be our go-to spot when we come to the RDU area. One small quibble, breakfast ended at 9:00, a bit early. Just a small complaint, everything else was fantastic.

The hotel was supposed to be smoke free but there was constant cigarette and marijuana smoke. We were in the hotel for one week and nobody cleaned our room. We asked the cleaning lady twice and she just replied “no”. We asked the front desk and they hung up on us. The continental breakfast was inedible. The eggs smelled of sulfur. Terrible experience. Would not stay again.

When I checked in I was told that breakfast would be served from 6am-9am. On the first morning they cleaned up breakfast at 8:30am didn’t eat, on the second day they cleaned up at 8am didn’t eat. I did not try a third time. Horrible

See above for what I liked. What I did not like: TERRIBLE breakfast! Even ran out of coffee! cereal, waffles, plain bagels. Not good. And elevator barely worked- we took steps and got to 3rd floor WAY faster. It took 3 minutes to even get the elevator to the floor we were on, then a while to open, then forever for the door to open on the floor you were going to.
