Econo Lodge Research Triangle Park

This property is actually really good, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the parking lot. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it's close to my job site. The parking lot is small and awkward and sometimes it's hard to find a space near my room when I return late at night, but once I'm parked the stay is great.

It was adequate. Not enough choices in vending

Check in was simple. The road getting to property could use improvement.

Not their fault, but sharing a lot with a restaurant that has pot holes and bad spacing led to a lot of confusion and risked accidents. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Parking lot very tiny. Unkept parking lot. Ripped bottom of front bumper off on a low pole in main line you cant see when seated in a vehicle

Staff was very nice & considerate. Rooms clean but in need of updates. Only one ice maker on 2nd floor of other building. Parking lot in terrible condition. Continental breakfast was a joke, terrible coffee, waffles and honey buns only choice and oj. NOTHING else.

The property was conveniently located. Noise was mild to none. Parking was limited.

Phones don’t work , you walk on the floor and you have to shower off your feet from all the hair that was left on the floor. Ice machine was broken. Good thing was there was a parking spot just on the other side of the 2nd building. But I would give the stay a 3 out of 10

The parking was a little tight.

Parking is a challenge, but the rooms are nice for the price and the staff is always helpful and understanding.

Roaches and broken locks

This place has a deceptive rating. We arrived late in the night so we had no choice but to stay. My room 155 had a strong musty dingy smell. The floors were a combination of sticky, slippery and slimy. The bathroom ceiling was covered with black mold. The floors were filthy and had black mold on the edges. It did not have a functioning exhaust fan, when I took a shower, the shower head was shooting water into the walls and floor which would explain the black mold and musty smell all throughout the room. This room should be shut down immediately and condemned as a health hazard. Terrible experience overall.

The room was still dirty. There were roaches, black mold, and a ball of hair at the door. Definitely would not stay there again.

Older motel, very noisy location, Breakfast was coffee, juice, make a waffle, cornflakes and cheerios. Went out for breakfast. No seal under door, bugs in room, not unusual with outside entrance rooms. Price was reasonable so it met my needs for sleep. Floor sticky. Good for a quick simple stay. Bed okay, linens clean. Nothing special - quick, easy and convenient location. Price was fair all considered.

Musty smell is too strong.

The room was filthy. The footprints on the ceiling indicate that it has not been cleaned properly. I left an hour after I checked in. I was not going to sleep there.

The rooms had roaches everywhere. Not a place i wanna go back too.

The staff were helpful, allowing to extend my stay for an additional night when I was feeling a little ill. Unfortunately, I discovered several cockroaches, 1 in the bed and 2 on the walls. Yes, cockroaches, not water bugs.

Only a smoking room left. I didn't mind bc i vape, but i didn't expect it to be an actual smoking room feel & look. The bed covers had many burnt stains & holes. One of the aheets had a blood stain. When asked to get fresh sheets, i was looked at crazy and questioned. The worker told me The sheets are suppose to be like this. I was like shittn me. The room smelt of cigarettes (like its never been aired out). The bathroom cigarettes burns everywhere. I Dont Think Id Book again. This hotel would be my last option

Always a pleasure to stay here... fast check in, helpful service - rooms are decent and they are always upgrading... love the bathrooms! BIG TUBS with good tile, good caulking around edges, commodes are upgraded as well. LOVE how they are making them better and better.

There were many electrical outlets in the lamps. Very Convenient and Thoughtful. Great convenience when traveling with a dog . Warm showers, clean rooms. Great basic facilities.

It was a good price, the staff that I encountered were nice and responsive, it’s close to I-40, and it was quiet even though the highway is nearby. I didn’t have any issues really. I just wish the mattress was more comfortable and that the blanket was thicker

Budget Motel. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Outside area was well lighted at night. Breakfast was simple but had waffle makers. Good stay for one night.

The room had clearly been painted recently. The fridge and microwave were good. The main disappointment was the breakfast labellel continental. All that was available were cornflakes, Cheerios, coffee, fake orange juice and waffles with limited addition. No pastries or fruit.

Original room was incorrect so they moved us to a double room which is what we reserved. At around 11:30 Pm a staff member opened the door to the bedroom without knocking, asking who we were. In the morning I questioned the reason that was done. The person who switched the rooms put one room number in the system but came us a key to a different room. Thank goodness I was with my husband and uncle because this could have been a reason to say someone is in one room but do something to them in the other room where their reservation is not found. Scary, never staying there again.

We drove more than 8 hours and finally arrived very late in the evening. We were so tired and ready to sleep but next door room was so noisy that we could not sleep at all: kids screams and shouts, TV was loud. Asked lodge employee to talk to them with no avail.

Filthy place inside and out. Felt incredibly unsafe based on residents and area. One day my key card wasn’t working so I went to the desk and they only asked what room I was in and reactivated it. Didn’t ask who I was, no ID check, nothing. I could have told them any room I wanted to enter. Scary! Room walls were filthy, outdated, outside area unkempt, whole place smelled like weed. If my stay was longer than 2 nights I would have left and moved to another hotel. I felt like I was staying at a crackhouse. Not worth it to try to save a few bucks. Go somewhere else and pay for safety and professionalism.

Food is horrible due to sanitation . Lots of unhygienic people staying there. Roaches in the room. It’s a what you pay for is what you get. Two of the gentleman in the front the younger ones very nice . There were two older employees there one which I believe does laundry, very rude and mean. When I will ask for towels he will signal me no! I did not want people going in the room to clean because I was sleeping at the time. I had brain surgery a few months ago and due to that I can’t sleep at night and tend to sleep in the morning. So I would try to clean the room and due to that we’ll have to go. Ask for clean towels or toilet paper. The rude employees will tell me that I should get that from housekeeping when they come by. I still needed a room for another two weeks, but decided to go somewhere else. As I mentioned not all employees were rude. No matter what I paid, if all I asked for was towels or toilet tissue I don’t see why I should’ve been treated with an attitude for asking. I checked out but this was the first time I had to buy roach spray to stay somewhere. I thought I would use the fridge so I can eat there and save a buck from spending at a store but with roaches you can imagine my appetite .

Staff was awesome

Older hotel but nice and clean room. Perfect if you need a quick nights rest coming off the highway. Service was prompt and friendly.

The afternoon front desk man is so helpful!! He gets you checked in quickly and is pleasant to work with...

Just your run of the mill discount hotel. A lot of illegals are sleeping there after working all day. The rooms could use a deep cleaning and an update. There were some old cabinets or something in the hall by the ice machine. The AC in my room had a broken front cover and a lot of dust and grime. The desk staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Convenient location; I'll admit to being a bit wary when we first arrived, but overall it was quiet and comfortable. The gentleman who assisted with check-in was pleasant, and the room fit it's purpose. Yes, it's a bit worn, but for the price, I'd stay here again.

Nice people perfect location 💯

The bldg was close to a main road, which made it convenient, but the heavy traffic could be heard in the room. There were what appeared to be several homeless individuals in and around the area which made it feel very sketch. The room itself was clean, but it was very old and smelled of a dirty mop. It also only had 2 very flat pillows on the bed. We had to ask for additional towels, etc. to accommodate 2 people in the room.

Didn’t get breakfast. Probably it’s just for show or little amount to attract guests (as we were).

Free breakfast only included orange juice, waffles, and cereal. Other than that, no bugs and AC kept us cool.

Waffles were the breakfast, they also come in and clean the room daily if you want that.

It was a non smoking room but a. s soon as I walked in it stunk of cigarette smoke and musty. For whatever reason they stuck me on the highway side. Traffic noise was horrendous. I went for the "Continental" breakfast. What a joke. The only thing that was there was the waffle maker. Not a bagle, donut,, no fruit, no juice. Ridiculous. The room didnt even have a "Do not Disturb" sign.

Well, it is an older hotel but the rooms were okay. The main issue was that there was no breakfast - just a wafflemaker, juice and coffee. They could easily put in a toaster, some bread, bagels, etc.
