Parking was fine. This was the first hotel/motel I've stayed in that didn't have a coffee maker in the room. I liked the price but I would have paid an extra couple bucks if to have a coffee maker in my room.

It was very nice area with trees around it. Pet friendly, very good snacks and drinks selections. It has a washer and dryer. The staff was friendly. Will stay again when I go back to Durham NC.

An adequate back up plan when Chapel Hill hotels are mostly sold out but this hotel is very basic and dated with some minor maintenance issues. Coffee is available in the mornings in the lobby but it tends to run out and not be refilled. There is no hair dryer in the room but one can be borrowed at the desk if available. It is just off the highway so there is road noise. No elevator but it’s not very tall. Well-insulated windows do a good job even when ice crystals form on them outside. It has a picnic table in a stand of trees but I didn’t feel comfortable sitting outside there. People were loitering outside the time I considered it, and the road noise keeps that from seeming peaceful.

This hotel is disgusting & Expedia should not even partner with it. The first room (113) was so coated with filth that I was afraid to touch anything. Light over sink broken, AC broken, room phone broken, no hair dryer. Moved to Rm 234- still very dirty, no hair dryer (office finally found one for me to use), threadbare towels, no Kleenex, furniture battered. The only hotel ice machine was broken for 2 days, as well as the washer & dryer. Misrepresented online. I asked for refund after seeing the rooms, but was told "non-refundable" because I booked via Expedia. I realize Red Roof Inn is a budget-friendly hotel, but for $100/night one should expect at least basic cleanliness & functioning and basic hotel amenities like hair dryer and tissues.

Apparently I am required to put something here. This is a budget property, and you should be aware of what you are purchasing. If you want the Ritz, pay for the Ritz. This was exactly what I needed. So far, it seems likely to be quiet, despite proximity to the Highway. I could tell it had been recently cleaned/sanitized as soon as I opened the door, and there is no stench of cigarettes - direct or attempting to be hidden.

Absolutely disgusting. Bugs in the light in the ceiling, horrible smell that smelled like mold/mustyness, the bed felt like cardboard that you sank into, the mirror was sideways, the bathtub stained, and there was hair on the bed sheets. And they declined a refund when we checked out 30 minutes later for our two day stay. We will never book again. Also, don’t book through hotels.com because they will only go to the hotel asking for permission to refund which will be denied.

No staff on site, had to wait to check in. Staff was gone again shortly after i checked in. Toom was disgusting, looked like it hadn't been swept/vacuumed in ages. Appeared to be blood on the floor by the front door. Hair and dirt on the shower walls. Blankets and sheets were dirty. Saving the best for last, the room had what i see as a pretty serious bedbug infestation.

My handicapped room was malodorous and sticky. The sink light did not work. The fan in the bathroom was incredibly noisy as was the AC. The towels and soap were like prisoner supplies. The baseboards and floor were all bashed up. The room has not had new carpet or paint it appears for years. It had a very high ICK factor. They made you sign some no smoking agreement you needed a microscope to read.

I had to pay $250 a night for this hotel due to a nearby college graduation. It was ridiculous. When we checked in, we were given a key to a room that had not been cleaned. The front desk was accommodating and gave us a new room. However, it was not clean and it smelled. There was hair in the bathtub, toothpaste in the sink, and black flecks of something on the bathroom door. I understand that the facilities may be managed by a corporate office, but a clean room is within the control of the people who run this hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

As soon as we pulled in a gentleman was yelling that somebody tried to steal his jeep off a trailer and how dangerous it was around the area. It had a horrible smell and felt dirty. The light didn’t work properly above the sink (would randomly turn off and not turn back on), the tub was stained and the bathroom door looked like it had been chewed on. The smoke alarm was missing. It was NOT worth $125.

My expectations weren't high since it was under $100 for the night. Room/hotels was run down, but clean and the staff was nice. Upon check-in, the room was very hot and the A/C blew out hot air. They got me another room. That room was cool, but the A/C was loud. Again - expectations weren't high due to the cost. Thanks.

Fast efficient check in. Clean room and bath. Only reason I gave 4 stars was the bed. Cheap and lumpy w no support. My backs been hurting all day! But had a microwave,fridge and safe. Another negative is no coffee in room. Overall a nice clean inexpensive room.

The whole place could use some updating. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained and damaged. There were spots on the floor that looked like dried blood. The in-room safe was not working.

When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk. It took quite a while to check in, and I had to do it through a tiny little window. When I was leaving, there was again nobody at the front desk and nobody answered the bell. I was unable to get a cup of coffee. This will never be my first choice of a place to stay.

Solid RRI-type of place. Other than unkempt look and some noise from reno, it was as expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some traffic noise, b/c right next to intersection of 2 busy thoroughfares -- I-40 and Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. No eateries w/in walking distance.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. The only thing i had an issue with was the fact that there aren't many food options in the area. Also make sure to have the $50 cash deposit when you check in. The front desk clerk is really nice. I would stay there again.

Older Red Roof Inn. No security lights on at elevator corridor; elevator not in pristine condition; king bed very uncomfortable, have a backache today from same; shower leaked, very little pressure; auxiliary shower head did not work. So much water had leaked that drywall had rotted, and pole behind same was rusted out...continental breakfast was only coffee...NOTHING ELSE!!! parking okay; grocery store baskets for carts; Ac/Heat unit unclean, full of dirt and lord know what else... Desk clerks were not very friendly

There was no counter top in the bathroom to put personal items on. The hangers were mounted to low 4’ high. There was no TV listing sheet and the TV remote didn’t work too well. No mini breakfast just coffee.

The location is close to restaurants but driving is required. The Chapel Hill/Durham highway is fairly busy particularly during the rush hours. The motel exterior is appealing however the rooms could use some renovation.

It was definitely overprized for this Red Roof Inn! No coffee in the morning! Smoke Free Hotel and it seemed to be that almost everbody smoked in front of the door. A lot of dog barking in the morning. Bed was soooo soft.
