We love it here very great place cheap rates and pet friendly and they don't charge for a pet also and there is a lot of activities here to do at the hotel swimming arcade playing games and pool tables open lounge and restaurant here and some within walking distance as well a lot of places to go to and great food places near by great burgers at kewpees as well.

Hugh hotel with large atrium. Would be excellent to bring family with kids. Indoor swimming pool in the atrium with lots of activities for children. Great breakfast with the most attentive gentleman minding the patrons and food I have ever had. Room was large with great bed. There were a few common areas that could have been cleaner but we did arrive late in the evening so may have been earlier in the day. Very reasonable price . Overall I would recommend.

Breakfast staff was amazing, and helpful and kind. Pool was a lot of fun, sad there is no jacuzzi but sauna did the trick. Also games were fun bonus but needed a cash and we didn’t have cash. Still a great stay overall.

This has been a nice discovery and now my favorite place to stay in the area. Breakfast was good with very helpful staff, a pool area, game areas, and a vending machine for ICE CREAM! Room was quiet and there’s plenty of places around to choose for dining.

I enjoy coming here when I visit family in Lima. The huge spacious lobby with pool and games makes for a nice atmosphere to get together. The rooms are also updated and clean. Glad to have a quick breakfast in the morning too.

Very nice hotel with the pool, billiards, ping-pong table, air hockey, and social gathering in the center interior with rooms looking down on it. Very clean, great rates and continental breakfast included. Will stay here again!

Hotel and rooms were old and not terribly clean. Example, dirty grout, dirty hallways, gross elevator. The bed was fine and tv options were good. Breakfast was so so. Rarely was the coffee hot. It seemed like the put 6 containers of coffee out the night before or super early as only 1 of the 6 containers would contain hotter than look warm coffee. Pool looked nice but we didn’t use it. We would not stay again as we have stayed at much nicer 3* hotels.

I liked the overall cleanliness, however, our room smelled like stale dog! It was bad and had to switch rooms! Secondly, we tried to check in early and was willing to pay the $40 extra dollars to do so but they said I had to wait until 3pm because there was no rooms or clean rooms available. There is absolutely no way every room in this hotel was occupied! So we waited 4 hrs to get our room which was disappointing.

Blood on my bed was disgusting..... large period blood they put the fitted sheet over. It showed through. Changed rooms and the matress cover on second room had blood spots on it too. My dad was in critical care in icu so honestly i didn't have the energy to request a refund and leave. I slept on towels and used my sanitizer on pillows. It was bad! Just dirty

Very kind staff but maintenance is needed. The phone to call the front desk is not operable. There was sewage backed up into the tub when I arrived. They moved me to another room and did not seem surprised. They gave me the room next door. We know that plumbing issues are not room specific. The 2nd room tub did not drain so I was was standing in who knows what. The water was also not hot. Very unsatisfactory after a 12 hour drive.

The service staff is great. Very friendly and helpful. I was told that they were in the process of remodeling. The pool was closed. The room was pretty nice but had some issues. It definitely wasn’t as pictured online. It looks like maybe they started to remodel this room, but never finished it. I attached pictures of some issues that I found with the room. Torn carpet, stains on the wallpaper, dust, bunnies on the air vent, etc..

We had a great room location on the ground floor, near a side exit, near we parked. The plumbing in that part of the building was very “musical” all night. We also listened to the room HVAC “groan” at the end of each cycle. The desk lamp was so loosely held together that I was afraid to turn it on. Although I chose a 2 bed room, my husband and I struggled with the small size of the bed. Unfortunately the bed we chose had also been made “short sheeted”. Although hilarious in college, we were not amused.

There is something very nostalgic about staying in a hotel like this. The interior-facing rooms with balconies looking down on the pool and game area definitely takes you back to the hotel experience of the 80s and 90s. It was unlike anything my 8-year old had ever seen and she was absolutely thrilled (and mad we didn't stay a second night). Altogether we had a great experience. Cons were that the beds are a tad on the small side and that it was tough to be in the pool for too long because the air in the pool area was far too cold.

Carrie at the front desk was amazing when checking us in. I believe a good start to the stay is the tone that is set when checking in. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was amazing. I have back issues and it was the most restful sleep I’ve had in forever. The breakfast was delicious. Wonderful options for a gluten free diet when traveling. The fitness room was nice and clean.

Place was clearly a lil older but the basic maintenance was most certainly done. No bugs, no weird smells, beds were dead comfortable, although there may have been something wrong with our shower or I just never saw the switch for the vent. But that aside, was a wonderful trip and a perfect place for the weekend. Staff was nice, check in was easy and I was contacted directly by the hotel even though I booked via Hotels.com. Overall, can't complain, would gladly book another stay again if circumstance permits!

It’s an ok place to stay. Very good for the price. Atrium area can get loud and crowded, but it closes at an appropriate time so it didn’t bother us. There are plenty of things to do in the hotel and it’s fun. Bar was nice and reasonably priced. The plugs in the room were terrible. Half of them didn’t work. And the beds are TINY. I’m not sure what I expected a “double” bed to be, but I was thinking closer to a full or queen size. These were not much wider than a twin. Expecting two people who are not children to share that size bed is insane.

We really enjoyed the set up of this hotel. It was nice to be able to have a balcony looking down on the activities. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were a few minor things that I was not a fan of. For instance, the drain clogged during my husbands shower. He had to screw something back in to fix it in order to drain again. Also, the floor behind the bathroom door was dirty. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and it got extremely hot in there after my shower. The computer chair seat was worn out and ripped. The TV wasn’t set up. One of the side tables by the bed was unplugged so it took a bit to figure out why our phones weren’t charging. Some of the rooms have chairs on the balcony and some do not. Ours did not. Other than that, we really enjoyed the large lobby and the friendly service.

Nice property - a little dated but well maintained. The layout is unique and kind of a throwback to multi-function hotels of a generation ago. It was nice to walk through the main area and see a couple playing air-hockey. Staff was exceptional! Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. BL, it was a good stay and a very good value.

Room service barged in our room while we were sleeping and woke us up. Room service came back again while we were in the bathroom and insisted we wait while she changed the bedding and took out our garbage. So awkward and she did not understand we were asking her to leave, so we could have privacy. This was an hour before check out. We told her we were not ready for check out and she insisted we had to wait for her to finish. Not impressed. For breakfast there were no protein options. The man running the breakfast was very friendly along with front desk staff. The hotel misrepresents themselves by the pictures and it’s not as clean as we thought it would be. I would not recommend this hotel.

There was a power outage. I woke up at 430a to a very hot jolted room. When I approached the workers, at 830a, they were not polite or helpful with getting me, my belongings or my pets down the stairs. I was left to my own defense. My animals cannot do stairs. I’ve always stayed at this hotel. Unfortunately the lack of concern or help from the staff will be the cause/reason I will never stay again at this hotel.

What a hidden gem. You don't of a place like this when you think of Howard Johnson's. We had a great stay. Everyone was super nice. Our room was clean. Breakfast was good. We ate at the bar as well, surprised how good it was. Will definitely stay there again.

We were passing through the area with our dog and needed a decent place to stay. Lima HoJo was a GREAT place to stay. It was pet friendly with a good grassy place to walk and for pottying. First got there didn’t have a remote in the room. Had to go to the front desk for them to find one. Took them a little bit but found a remote without a back to it. Stated that they would bring one up but never did. The shower wouldn’t drain properly and found a a huge clump of hair clogging it. If they cleaned the shower they would have been able to see that it would not drain properly. Even after removing the hair the drain did not work properly. Some of the wallpaper was peeling. Breakfast was not conducive with people with dietary needs.
