The hotel was wonderful and in a convenient location in the downtown area. The restaurant was beautiful and had a great array of food choices that were high quality. I did enjoy the self-checkout convenience store where I could quickly pick up what I needed at any time. The room was very clean and most things were provided as expected. Improvements I would suggest: 1) Updtate Google Maps pin as it lead us to the south end of the hotel and not the front. 2) Set elevator doors to delay closing, and close slower as the doors closed too fast when the elevator was already on the floor and it looked like it would ping my hands if I tried to jump in while the doors were closing. This is too fast for a senior and the tablet system does not give enough delay to know which elevator to walk over to. 3) Have signs out for quiet hours. We had guests being noisy throughout the night on our floor that I did not get any sleep. It was likely they were going to the pool, since we were on the same floor and close to the door leading to the gym and pool area, but then there should be enforcement to ensure other guests are not being disturbed. The doors are not thick enough to keep sound out. 4) Provide hairbrushes and other commonly forgotten bath items in the convenience store. I forgot a hairbrush and did not have time to ask the front desk if they had any. It would be easier if they were in the convenience store or provided in the room bathrooms.

After hours of trying to find parking after checking in we gave up at 10 pm as our daughter needed to sleep as she had competition next morning with wake up at 5 am . We are local to San José and we closed to stay for the convenience paying 300 for the night not able to get her to bed until 11 was definitely not a convenient. We are so upset at the amount we paid and the lack of help we received .

Unfortunately valet is still not up and running which made for a stressful start…parking was VERY limited but I managed to get the last spot for my SUV. Mostly compact parking but still very limited. Other than that, the rest of the stay was wonderful!

Unfortunately the two rooms they put us in this time both had smells. One had a horrible smoke smell and then the second smelled musty and gross. Definitely not the same experience as the first time I stayed on my own and was on the 15th floor. We arrived so late that I didn’t want to move a third time.

We stayed here for an event that was happening in the Convention Center quick walk. Our check in/out was pretty smooth, parking is self parking and has in and out privileges. A little disappointed in the room considering the room price even though i reserved it ahead of time, bathroom wasn’t super clean. We only needed a room to sleep after the event but the beds weren’t the BEST. Room only has a mini fridge but microwave & ice machines are located on other floors. I’d probably only stay here again if I came to another event at the convention center

The lobby was nice and really convenient to walk to the convention center. However they put us in an ADA room for some reason and it smelled like smoke. There was hair in the tub drain and I had to call 3 times for extra towels. There is also no valet. But the bellman was very helpful.

The room wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be and it wasn’t kept up either for a Hilton room. It had a lot of repair work that needed done to it. Shower head had low pressure and had a lot of build up. The toilet paper roll holder wouldn’t hold up the toilet paper. There were lots of scuffs and build up dirt in the room. I was very sad about the room.

Hotel was primarily good. Only negatives were you are in a major flight path for the airport and we both had to take cold showers. There was no hot water at 8am. It was very luke warm water.

I really wanted to love my stay here. The staff was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout my visit. The facilities were clean and generally well-maintained, which I appreciated. However, I did run into several issues that made for a difficult night. In the evening, my hot water stopped working. The hotel quickly sent a mechanic who was very kind, but unfortunately couldn’t fix the issue, so I was moved to a different room. In that room, the refrigerator was making an extremely loud noise that made it hard to relax. I called the front desk, and they advised me to unplug it—which I did, since I didn’t want to move rooms again. Unfortunately, around midnight I woke up to the sound of water leaking from the fridge. A puddle had formed near the extension cord for the TV, which was a bit alarming. I called again, and staff instructed me to leave it alone and place towels down. Between that and the loud airplane noise from a nearby airport, I didn’t get a restful night’s sleep. I want to emphasize again that the staff was lovely and did their best to help, but I was disappointed that no compensation or gesture was offered for the trouble I experienced. I hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.

The room was clean and beds comfortable, unfortunately our AC did not work (it just blew warm air) and we were there during a heat dome which made it miserable. The front desk was very nice upon check in and offered me an upgrade, almost insistent to the point where I thought they may have given up my previous room, but I take accountability for accepting a room that went from a king to two queens and an AC that didn’t work. The bar and bar staff were fantastic. The market was nice for access but well overpriced. Great location for the rock n roll race that we came to San Jose for.

Actually had a nice room on 3rd floor next to pool area. But unfortunately also next to pool pump room which caused a constant buzz and a 46DB noise level in my room. When asking the hotel about it there was absolutely nothing to do about it.

I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this property. I attempted to check in through the Hilton app but was told I needed to stop by the front desk upon arrival (I had already chosen my room and entered my card information for parking purposes). I arrived soon after check in time at 4pm and tried to explain to the staff member that I had misplaced my ID during my travel day earlier that morning but I had a photo. I was told a photo was not appropriate with no further empathy or compassion. Another woman overheard and came up to the desk to explain that since it was booked and paid for through Expedia I would have to contact them to change the name under the reservation to my partner. Okay, great - I get that name change done and we go back in to check in. Well no, I was then told my payment wasn’t cleared by Expedia (refer back to me mentioning the fact that the staff member explicitly told me since the booking was PAID FOR I couldn’t make any alterations to it). I tell her that’s weird bc I can see it on my authorized transactions through my bank. Again, they stare at me like I’M the problem here so I contact Expedia AGAIN. The Expedia staff have to call the hotel manager and low and behold they find out the payment WAS processed and they were just confused because the hotel was booked same day. So because they failed to look into when the booking was created or actually any details of my booking, I did not get into my room until almost 6. No apology, nothing. Do better Hilton SJ.

Service staff was terrible. Skipped housekeeping services for no reason and they said it was our fault. Requested towels serval times and got them about three requests later.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. The front desk staff were very rude and I never ever got through to the operator when calling for room service. I almost just canceled my reservation at check in due to their rudeness but I still would have been liable. The male waiter in the restaurant was the best so friendly and kind.

No response to my request for early check in and asked me to come to the desk each hour to check. Finally at 4pm said to come back every 30 minutes. Finally checked in at 5pm & check out at 11:am so not much time in a room that I paid $341.00 for.

Enjoyed our stay and staff was very helpful. While it was a convenient location for the events we were attending while there, there was not a lot to do or great restaurants (Joe's being an exception) within easy walking distance of the property. That is the only minor quibble.

Check-in was smooth and the desk employees were pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and the bathroom lighting was excellent for make-up, a good thing since we were attending Fanime. Bring your own water bottles since the room waters cost $3 each. This is a good hotel to stay at for Fanime since it is connected to the San Jose Convention Center. We left our car in the San Jose Convention Center garage for 2 days and it was fine.

Stayed unexpectedly because my daughter’s volleyball tournament took a lot longer than we thought. parking garage was not big enough for my truck but it was cheaper to park across the street anyway. Booking a room was only available online which is super inconvenient. Would’ve been a lot easier. Just walk up to the front desk and book a room. Bartender definitely needs help on tournament days and drinks at the bar are super expensive $33 for a vodka and cranberry is ridiculous.

Great place to stay if you’re seeing a show at the center for performing arts. Secco restaurant was good and had nice outdoor seating. Beds were very comfortable. Bathtub was a little run down and old because the finish on the interior sides of was peeling. Also the nightstand lamp was unplugged but it took us a while to figure that out. Overall, it was a nice comfortable stay for one night.

Nice staff and the hotel is ok in the looks department. However the water damaged and semi crumbling walls in the room bathroom were a bit shocking. The bar closes at 10 on a Saturday, no room service, no restaurant at night, very limited dining choices in the area, limited access to the pool, no towels at the pool in the morning. No wifi unless you join their marketing program is LAME! Nice beds. Overall not worh the money.

Staff service can improve. Good breakfast. Very good beds to sleep. Must clean up the staircase leading to the Parking. Smells urine. Location is good. Please don’t sell water bottles for $3 when the same bottle is available outside for $25 cents. Not fair business. Thanks.

Rooms and lobby area are fine, but $37 a night surprise parking fee as well as very expensive dining and bar options are a big negative. Rooms maybe less expensive than Marriott next door, but everything else makes up for the difference.
