this hotel is a renovated landmark right in the heart of san jose. the staff greeted me like i was a family member. the room was very nice and well appointed. the Mosaic bar and restaurant is attached to the hotel and has very good food. you dont need valet parking since secure self parking is located adjacent to the hotel. no pool, but a relaxing outdoor courtyard.

It’s a small place good for short term stays. Other than the restaurant linked to the building there are no other dinning options. Luckily there are a few places in a walking distance. The parking hard to maneuver since it’s only accessible on a one way street.

It was unclear where parking is for the small hotel (4 floors only). Parking is $45/day and there a few overnight options without walking a few blocks. If you have things that need to be brought to the room and you would have to make multiple trips, there is no offer to help or a suggestion on how to get guest belongings to the room. Breakfast options are limited on Sunday at the hotel. The elevator is terribly slow so it makes the most sense to take the stairs in the small hotel except for the fact that you can't take the stairwell down to the first floor. You can take the stairwell down 2 floors, find the indoor stairs, and then take those down to the lobby.

This hotel would be rated higher if the parking was not $45. Downtown was empty so parking is not an issue, so I felt it was a hussle by Sheraton to charge so much for parking. Probably will find a hotel next time where parking is less expensive. Bad Business Plan!

Horrible experience. The lobby and staff were satisfactory. However, once I exited the elevator onto the floor where my room was located, I was hit with an intense smell of body odor and cigarettes. (I specifically requested a non smoking floor/room). As I entered my room. The smell only continued to grow worse. It got to the point where my significant other and I had migraines within minutes of being there. We immediately left and made other arrangements.

To start, I am a professional house cleaner, so when I tell you this room was clean, it was CLEAN. I dust checked everywhere and not a spec, even on the tops of frames or headboards which is usually missed. The room, the bathrooms, scrubbed and spotless. I was so pleased! The room we got was King and for some reason came with two showers? I have never seen that before but it was lovely, I prefer a standing shower. The staff was AMAZING, so kind and friendly, happy to work with us when we wanted to keep our car on site after check out as we were attending an event. The event was at the convention center which was only a few minutes walk away from the hotel and the area was so clean and felt safe and easy to walk. My only issues of this stay was the mattress, it was worn and not the best for the back issues that I have, but this is the hit or miss of any hotel. The second issue is not the hotels fault, but outside of our side of the hotel was the trolley that ran all night, dining some bell every few hours. It's the only downsides. Despite this issue, I would absolutely stay here again the next time I am in the area. This stay was stellar and is THE place to stay when you are in down town San Jose, I can't wait to visit again.

Room was small but very clean. Big TV, mini frig, coffee maker with coffee and tea. Plenty of electrical outlets. Comfy bed. Large bottles of hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Good location. Pleasant staff. Everything we needed for a weekend of Christmas in the Park.

Property was in terrible condition and smelled terrible. Obvious recent water damage caused terrible musty smell and overall dampness in our room. Don't stay here...much better options at the Marriott, Westin, or Hyatt in very close proximity. We were only there for one night and thankfully were not in the room other than to go to sleep. Terrible experience... Sheraton should have closed this entire property for renovation instead of just the 4th floor. Stay away!!

There was what looked like a dirty towel in the room, but I just didn't use it. Parking was too expensive, so I opted for street parking. It was close enough to walk to everything, so that was great!!

This property is pretty nice bits it’s starting to have problems. For the past two days my room doesn’t have hot water and they can’t seem to fix the problem. The person at the front desk keeps telling me that they will fix it but it hasn’t been solved yet. Too bad because it’s a reasonably priced, clean, boutique style property in a good area. If it wasn’t for the hot water problem I would review them much better. After this experience, I can’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay again.

Overall, this is a nice property. However, having double hung, single pane window in a downtown area isn’t optimal. Super loud at night when all the surrounding businesses receive supplies from trucks in the middle of the night. The trolly blaring its horn all night long doesn’t hel. I had about an hour of reprieve at 5am. If you’re not sensitive to noise when you’re trying to sleep, a very nice property with a long history. If street noise keeps you up, this might not be the place. I should note I live in the country and it’s dead silence at night. Nearly all other accommodations I’ve stayed have never bothered me. This one is just a little louder than the rest.

The hotel has a terrible customer service. They gave us a double bed for a couple for Valentine’s Day and they charge us $50 for parking. The lady at the front desk is has a terrible customer service and so rude but really friendly and not smiling at all. We feel we are not welcome in the hotel and when I ask questions she is sooooo rude. Can’t explain without being rude. You can’t have her as your front desk person.

The street car comes by every 5 minutes with the bells ringing starting at 5AM…. It sounds like it’s IN the room. I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes while someone was sitting on their phone scrolling instagram. She never said anything to me and when someone else finally came to help, she hopped up and acted concerned. Overall the hotel is nice, great location, especially if you manage to not hear the street car.

The lobby is a little old and could use a refresh. The restaurant was supposed to be open daily for breakfast but wasn't. The room was large and comfortable, though for me the blanket was way to light weight. But the real turn off was having a Book of Morman Bible and Bible on the nightstand, which I found completely inappropriate and disconcerting. For that reason, I would NOT stay here again.

Front desk and service people are very friendly. Room was clean and roomy. Restaurant was closed except for dinner even though signage says it was open for breakfast. Tables were left with food and dirty dishes from the night before. Maybe we were lucky not to eat there. Bar was supposed to be open until 11:00 on Saturday night. We got back from our event at 10:45 and the bar was closed. This is not Sheraton quality. Next trip we will stay elsewhere.

I liked that it was close to the convention center. I didn’t like their restaurant hours. However the food was good. The hours were really nonconventional. I returned to the hotel for lunch and they didn’t open til 3. They had a couple snack machines that only took Visa cards and you had to spend $10 at a time. The room was clean and good enough for what I needed.

the hotel and hotel staff were A - great front desk service and the room was immaculate. :) the attached restaurant, however, was odd. service was not great and the food was subpar. i'd stay at the hotel again - but i'd choose another place to eat.

It was cool. The restaurant is kinda weird, but we are it. It was quiet there, no drama, and the tv was nicer than what I've seen in other similarly priced hotels recently. Need was comfy, shower was big and water pressure was good
