I chose this property based on the ‘good’ rating on Expedia. This property is old, unkept, and rundown. Pulling into the parking lot, I immediately knew this choice was not at all what was presented on the website. I could see, hear, and feel the springs in the mattress. I felt something stick me twice and discovered there was a hole in the mattress and there was a metal spring poking out. The drawer handles were removed and drawers were screwed shut. I was told “that’s just what they do in the basic king rooms” and was given some random hangers. I asked to switch rooms but was told they were fully booked. The drain in the bathtub was clogged so I was standing in a pool of water during every shower. In order to get clean towels, I was required to exchange my dirty towels at the office. Speaking of the office, you couldn’t enter the lobby until you were buzzed in because the doors were locked at all times. This was my first time visiting this area and I was really disappointed in the quality or lack there of at this Red Roof Inn.

The place should be shut down. It’s old and tired. Also dirty and smelly. The elevator is slow and seemed to not be very reliable. The entire property is run down and very dirty.

Price was excellent. Staff very friendly. Had door card access problems (2 times). Elevator had serious shaking problem. Sidewalks were worn (very rough). Shower drained very slowly. This was second stay over last year. Would stay again for short periods. 3-4 days.

We did not have a shower curtain, or telephone. The tub was dirty. The room smelled like weed, cleaner and mildew. We switched rooms. The next room looked cleaner but still smelled like mildew and cleaner. The cement is falling apart under the walk way. Doesn’t look safe.

Building was rusted out. The room I was in had a smell so bad I could hardly stay in. The door was hard to open had to use a lot of pressure on door handle. Cigarette buts in parking lot in front of door to room. Holes in wall not fixed.

We pulled to the hotel parking lot at 3:15pm and the exterior of the looked ran down, we walked to the front entrance and it was filthy in the entrance way and walked to front desk and ask the front desk person to see my room I booked online, he provided me a key to room 109, the smell of feet hit my nostrils and felt sick then the sheets didn’t even cover the mattress like that were the wrong size and the floor had crumbs and stains on them. I went to the front desk to ask for another room the clerk apologized and provided the key to try room 207. We walked upstairs and the outside stair steps were very dark and not lit up and filthy cobwebs and dead bugs.

The lady at the counter wasn't polite at all .did not welcome me to the hotel. Almost acted as if she was bothered that she had to get outta her chair to check me in.. the room was dirty n some areas the lamp didn't work at all no hand soap by the sink...tv was very small and old...I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all

I found bed bugs in my room on the pillow. This was after seeing a used condom outside the door, a broken lock, broken dresser handle, dirty socks and towels on the floors, and hair everywhere. I left immediately after seeing the bed bugs (about 2am) and the front desk person said refunds were only available first shift when the manager is there. I came back the next morning. The manager told me that my pictures and videos of the bed bugs didn’t prove that it was his hotel, and said that a refund will only be given after pest control evaluates the room to see if there are actually bed bugs. Basically accused me of lying and acted like anything I said was irrelevant. Disgusting hotel and disgusting owner.

Our room had black tar stuff on the walls and the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking right onto the toilet. I would describe this place more as a “wet roof in.” also the air unit was covered in dust and mold . Pretty gross and not like the pictures.

The motel overall was less than amazing. The room was a bit dirty. Even though I selected a no smoking room, it smelled like cigarette smoke. The was some kind of gunk on the night stand. The bathroom had several rust spots. The towels looked dirty.

The evening front desk was very nice. However the room condition was GROSS! it smelt of powerful cigarette smoke and room deodorizer. The walls were thin and we could hear the neighbors as if they were in the room with us. The bathroom was small and poorly lit with splatters on the door and walls. After a short while we had to leave and go somewhere else

Tired and rundown; dirty floors and very old furniture. Very soft, old mattresses that really need replacing. Holes in the linens. At least we saw no bed bugs! Service at the front desk was friendly. Would not recommend.

Reserved a non smoking king room. Upon entering the room, it reeked of smoke. The bedside tables were filthy and sticky. I had to clean to room and go and get some spray to kind of get the smoke smell out. It didnt help. Also appeared that there were some long term renters there. Rooms have no fridge or microwave. Was never supplied with the wifi passwaord. Drawers on the dresser were screwed shut. Room is very small. The bed is the whole room.

The bathroom light strobed every time we turned it on. We couldn’t use the shower because the light kept going on and off. We were nervous that one of us was goi g to have a seizure because of it. The drawers in the room were all locked shut, so we couldn’t store any of our belongings except for the tiny table right next to the door. Overall the room just felt very dingy, dark, and unwelcoming. The lady that checked us in was very kind and polite!

We have stayed here many times before, although it has been a few years, we will not stay again. When we entered the room the smell was pretty bad, like a mold smell. It's an old hotel so we look past it(our first mistake). The beds were so uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. We could hear everything around us. From TV, voices, cars, fighting and people doing the deed. You could smell the weed from outside coming in through the air conditioner(this is of course not the actual hotels fault). We make due because we were in town for a funeral and exhausted. The next morning only one of us could take a shower(the bathroom was just big enough to turn around in) because the tub would not drain. We check out and tell the front desk. They could careless. After we left about 2 hours later we discovered that we left our own pillow in the room. We go back to the office to get it on our way out of town. Low and behold no one has seen it. The room has already been cleaned but the pillow is missing. The front desk and workers were not nice at all. They wouldn't let us go check the room ourselves. Which, yes it is our own fault but really?! You want someone elses pillow that badly... come on. Needless to say, never again. My advice is go elsewhere. This location needs a big overhaul.

Won’t stay again. Below my standards. But if you want a less expensive alternative then it is okay. Convenient to main drag and restaurants so good location. Outside needs sprucing up so as not to look so third world. A simple paint job would do wonders! Matress not comfortable. Thin and obviously worn. Pillows thin. Clean overall. Ammenities sparce, one very small bottle of conditioner shampoo and one lame bar of soap, no lather or scent. One bar of face soap that I didn’t use. no daily maid service, had to request that (eco contribution I suppose). Water pressure decent. Had to pay $15/night extra for refrigerator and microwave which aI didn’t appreciate. 2 star comfort quality. Reception men were nice enough.

The front desk person made my check in the easiest and smoothest I've ever had - ANYWHERE! And as I overheard him helping a phone customer, he was very professional, calm and courteous. The only thing that was disappointing was finding fast food trash in the parking lot very close to the office.

Staff was very rude, upon checking in the lady up front was not nice at all. I got there walked to the door and she ummm it’s locked wait, and then proceeded to say of course as soon as I walk outside to smoke somebody else comes to ruin it.

This was probably the worst place I have ever stayed,and they charged me an extra $200 on top of the $77 room stay for a smoking fee and I havent smoked in 5 years..to say I was ripped off is an understatement, so this is a warning to anyone trying to stay here.

The review for this property on executive drive in Toledo Ohio is completely wrong. There was old food frozen in the freezer. The room was dirty and completely run down. On a Wed night, there were people knocking on the door all night long. I believe this place is used for all kinds of activity. We left the next day and forfeited the cost of the next few nights as we did not feel safe. In talking to local residents, they said yuck and said everyone avoids that area as it is well known to be a sketchy place. The property did offer to relocate us but it was just not the right environment for us. Since we booked through Expedia, they would not refund the next three nights and Expedia declined as well saying the property declined to refund. Pointing Fingers!!!! I will not ever stay at a Red Roof In or use Expedia again for planning trips. Avoid this location at all costs!!!!!!

We were down to Toledo for Jeepfest weekend. We always stay here because its central to anything, safe, and the rooms are pretty good for the price. If you want luxury and extra frills, this place isnt for you, but if you want an affordable place to crash it a good area with lots around you this is it. We will be back next year

Red Roof Inn in Toledo off of Secor is centrally located to everything i wanted to do and see, the rooms aren't spacious, the bathroom is little, but it's nice and clean and at a good price. I'd stay there again.

Decent for the price, located conveniently, I was only here for an 8 hour sleep break while traveling so I didn't experience any of the amenities. There were a few suspicious folks hanging around, make sure you lock up all your stuff.

Its actually a great place for the price. Excellent deal and pretty clean. No stains on my bed at all. Linens and towels are all clean. Its an older building and its in the middle of town. You can walk to any place from here! It has Culver's restaurant, Steak house, 5 guys, starbucks, McDonald's, Goodwill, a bar/pub around the corner... you name it, its walkable. Great place to stay a few days & relax!! Front desk staff (David,Megan,Jimmy) are awesome & very accommodating!! I would definitely recommend.
