There is investment being made into the property to freshen it up, which is good to see. Staff is friendly. 24-7 coffee is convenient. Elevator tone could possibly be changed to something pleasant (very minor detail). May want to put the parking lot on the maintenance/improvements list. It gives the first impression to guests.

Room had what we needed and was clean and very quiet. Beds were too firm (hard) for both of us. Could use better towels. Hotel is being renovated so boxes all over the lower hall. Breakfasts were OK. Staff seemed very small (like 1 woman on desk all the time but once). Plenty of outlets in the room. Small facility, adequate parking. Room had frig and microwave.

Good, clean hotel. Furniture was a bit dated, but it was clean. I’m sure they would charge more with updated furniture, so I’m not fussed at all about dated furniture as long as it is clean. We had a room on 1st floor which opens to the outside. These rooms are the pet friendly rooms. If you are staying with pets, make sure and call the hotel directly to make sure one of the pet rooms is vacant for your stay. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Pet deposit was $150 refundable and $20 per night for each pet, limit of two pets.

Hair in the shower/tub. Ceiling paint flaking. Terrible noise. There were workers on SUNDAY before 7 AM working right outside my hotel room door and also outside my room window. Apparently replacing mattresses. Speaking loudly and calling each other. Hotel should have shut down for remodeling or they should have started the work at 9 am on a Sunday. Instead they charge us full price for a terrible experience. The point of going to a hotel is to sleep. I was not able to sleep because this awful and inconsiderate disruption. I was not warned about this situation, otherwise I would’ve gone elsewhere. I should be getting back the full price for this poor experience.

The room was NOT clean. Stains and debris on the bathroom floor, trash behind trash cans, gunky handles on locks and microwave and very dusty. I liked the convenient parking, it was a quiet location and the rooms were quiet. Friendly staff. Not likely to return due to uncleaned rooms.

Our bedspread had coffee stains on it and two of the pillowcases looked like the had makeup or fecal matter stains and we had to switch them out. Our room seemed "surface" cleaned but the baseboards had dust on them and the office chair legs had dust on them and the bottom of the shower curtain was gross. It's clear they do a basic cleaning, but need to perform deep cleaning at least once a month.

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was decent. However in the room there was hair on the floor in the bathroom so it clearly wasn’t cleaned very well. And the Shower was completely level to the rest of the floor in the bathroom so when you shower water pours out and under the door and into the entryway to the room. This is a terrible shower design and makes a huge mess of water any time you want to shower.

The room was pretty gross. The baseboard was missing on half the room so just glue was left, bathroom floor was dirty, but worst of all was the disgusting bug on the wall when we woke up. Had we seen that the bight before we wouldnt have stayed

After checking in to our room, noticed a musty/weird smell and then also found several ants near the window and AC unit which we had to request them to come spray for. After settling down for the evening my husband found several bed bugs crawling around in his bed and my daughter's bed. We notified the staff and they came to the room to see, but said they could not confirm or deny if they were bed bugs (they clearly were). We had to wake my daughter up and then we were moved to a different room. We tried to see if our first night could be refunded or partial refund, but didn't receive one by the hotel or hotel.com (basically told we wouldn't get one unless they confirmed they actually had bed bugs). We then asked if hotels.com would move us to a different hotel but they said we would have to pay for it. So after thoroughly checking the new room and being paranoid for the rest of our trip, we stayed. Bed skirt in the new room had something nasty smeared all over it, and couple gnats flying around.

The property is undergoing renovation, it would seem - lots of supplies on the main floor, dumpster outside. Some areas are now very nice. Unfortunately, not (yet?) replaced are the room windows, and they let in a lot of noise from the busy US 30 outside. The room overall was large and had all of the standard features, a nice walk-in shower, but the wall finishing in the bathroom was poorly done and the bathroom vent cover was coated in dust. Breakfast in the morning was fine, pretty standard for the price point. Desk staff was helpful and courteous. For the price, it was a good place to stay! I would probably stay here again.

The walls are very thin. Felt like the neighbors were having a conversation in our room. The highway also seemed exceptionally loud. We even questioned if the windows were open because it seemed so loud. Speaking of windows there was no ability to close the curtains and the sun blazed straight into your eyes as it came up every morning. Back to noises…the elevator ding was so loud. Seems like a random thing to complain about but we could hear its ding at every floor in our room (several rooms down AND across the hall). Positives-the staff was friendly, the grounds and room were clean. It was convenient to Indiana Dunes State and National parks.

Couldn't help but feel sorry for the front desk workers, who were both very cordial and helpful, but it was FREEZING in there. The desk is right in front of the motion activated entrance door, which opened every time someone moved. In our room: the bathroom door was just silly - a sliding barn door that didn't lock and didn't stay on track. The bathroom had some kind of crumbs or peeling paint or something in two corners of the floor. Breakfast was decent. Seating area too small & cold.

I did not like the sliding door for the bathroom. Bathrooms need real doors. Also, big boxes of renovation materials in the hallway and lobby looked junky and made me feel we were in a work zone. I felt it was overpriced and did not match the photos advertised. Also, it was loud and we heard everyone walking past the door.

When we arrived the Internet was not working so we had to wait a substantial amount of time before we got our room. The hotel is under remodeling and there is stuff scattered all over. breakfast was not very good and the staff were not very helpful.

Dirty furniture, beat up bathroom fixtures walls etc…bathtub faucet didn’t work properly, TV don’t work, no manager on duty on a weekend. Front desk screwed up after moving me to another room didn’t enter in system. The room I was moved to showed it was empty and needed to be cleaned. Three times starting at 11 pm, 1 am and 6 am front desk pounded on my door. I went to the front desk and was asked how I ended up in that room. No regard for being woken up three times. At the second attempt a pass key was used to open the door. Thankfully I have the security latch in place or they would have walked in my room

Nice place to stay for the night between travel locations. Currently under renovation. The room was nicely done. Nothing fancy but all new furnishings. Clean. Bed was a little firm. Had a good stay. Bring your cell phone as the staff wear many hats. So they might not be at the desk when you arrive.

Needed an easy overnight stay after being at the Dunes. Hotel was clean and staff was kind. Applebees right next door made it easy to walk to dinner, eat, and go right back to the hotel. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Had a nice stay, though it was only a quick layover. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was in the middle of renovations so it was a bit of a mess, but totally understandable why. The floor our room was on already had the flooring replaced and it looked very nice. Only issue we saw, was that in the breakfast area there were ants all around some dropped food that likely a previous giest dropped. We notified the staff and they were quick to address it. Breakfast tasted great and we slept well.
