We stayed the night at the Ibis before an early morning flight from Gatwick and could not have had a more seamless, enjoyable stay. The HB1 shuttle (£5 per trip per person) leaves from the south terminal and took about 10 minutes to get to the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the lobby area with bar, restaurant, and lounge area with a large selection of travel books was, clean, quirky, and inviting. The bar was open 24/7 and the restaurant was open until 10pm and reopened for breakfast at 6am. The room was spotless with crisp white sheets, a large-screen tele, and a blackout blind. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this visit and will stay again.

It was a lovely hotel, quite close to the airport, thus why I chose it. The room was decent and quiet and alll the facilities that I needed for my stay worked well. The car park was cramped, not much room to park, I had to get out of the car on the passenger side. So that could do with a bit of improvement. Nonetheless, the price for parking was reasonable compared to other hotels nearby.

Was shocked to be told the car park was an additional £25 !! very expensive and its the first hotel I stayed at for over 50 years which charged for car parking Very very poor

We felt very refreshed ready for our flight. the next day. Check-in went well, but we had to explain that we had already paid extortionate 15 pound parking for a very small parking space, and the shampoo was empty but apart from these couple of things, everything was marvellous.

The rooms are nice but just be aware it has VERY LIMITED parking on site. We booked it as it advertised parking so that we could get to the airport early the next day, we arrived late in the day and there was no parking on site. We were told to park a 10 minute walk away in an unsecured car park which we were not willing to do as we had our suitcases in the car. Eventually the manager found a place for us to leave the car as we were leaving first thing but we very nearly walked out and found somewhere with parking on site.

This hotel is close to Gatwick but could do with a better breakfast option. The parking fee was excessive & should have been free. The staff were great but breakfast, parking & lack of a kettle or water in the room didnt help.

Staff were lovely and helpful, the room was smart and very clean. The only fault was that the room was a bit warm and the AC didn’t seem to make much difference but that’s neither here nor there. Perfect for a one night stay before an early flight.

Really clean lovely rooms, there isn't room service but you can order food and take it up to your room. We had pizza which was a nice touch. Close to Tulleys farm. Staff were friendly and the hotel was Clean and quirky. Would definitely return!

Staff all very helpful and in the restaurant too.Room v clean. Just one thing - we couldn’t turn off bedside lights so slept with them on. In the morning asked reception and there is a small button which we didn’t notice under the light. Pity it didn’t tell you that in the room.

Like: very close to Gatwick (7min average drive time) and there is paid shuttle bus service every 30min by 3rd party company, if required. Room was clean. Shower and sinks were clean. Slept well. Dislike: breakfast was dry (bacon, sausage) and some items were cold (scrambled eggs and mushroom). Food was bland. When it was topped up with hot eggs it tasted bland. We had a cobweb and spider in the shower. This must be one off, but worth mentioning so housekeeping can look into this.we didn't see any cobwebs in other areas. Windows locked for safety? Would be useful to open windows a bit. Some hotels put a safety lock to ensure windows cannot open fully to ensure safety whilst still having fresh air.

The check in was very very slow. After waiting a long time, we checked into a room on the sixth floor. We needed an early night as we had a flight early the next day but everytime someone ran the water anywhere, the pipes made a strange humming noise. This was irritating and intermittent the whole night until most people had gone to bed. We didn’t get a great sleep at all. We needed to be up at 4am.

Room was very warm even with air con on its lowest, bed was very had and pillows very soft making it an uncomfortable sleep. The extractor fan was also very loud and did not turn off all night.

The check in was very very slow. After waiting a long time, we checked into a room on the sixth floor. Arrived at property ready to chill out before flight in the early morning. Expedia hadnt paid for our room or half board. .The staff at the ibis were very professional never once made us feel awkward.Eventually expedia paid hotel The hotel is very clean a comfy bed especially pillows.There are extra pillows if needed. Food was very tasty theres a bar on site by reception. We enjoyed our stay dispite mess up. Thanks again to the great receptionist .

Clean and convenient but staff quite inattentive. Asked for luggage rack for room and told they don’t do those yet our travel companions had one in their room. No follow up when we asked for them to look into. No iron or board in room.

Arrived early and could check in early for minimal fee. Room lovely, clean and everything needed for the one night stay. Ate at restaurant and food / service great. Easy walk to some shopping. Front desk arranged taxi for transfer to airport but also shuttle right outside the door too. Had a hiccup by leaving back pack in taxi and hotel helped arrange for me to get this back. Overall great experience and customer service. Highly recommend this hotel

The restaurant downstairs had very inexperienced employees, as I my husband 3 times got up to get our food from the window as it had sat there at least 15 minutes each time... One person walked around to each table asking everyone "is this what you ordered" even though the tables were all clearly numbered and the waitress' insisted on putting the number on the order slip! Took forever, very confused. However, room was great! Close to the airport but not on the grounds. Loved the hotel itself.

I like that the hotel was just 10 minutes away from the airport and 5 minutes away from shopping centres, malls, Cineworld, etc. I also appreciate that they have a shuttle service to and from the airport/train station. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and I appreciated that since this was my first time in England.

This property is perfect for a layover between flights. Close to the airport with a shuttle that leaves every 40 minutes to take to the hotel or back to the airport. The cost of the shuttle is about $7 each way. Much cheaper than $30 for a cab.

Good stay with easy shuttle to and from London Gatwick airport, swanky clean and comfortable spaces with door security in the evening. I just found that the continental breakfast from 4am-6am is way overpriced for what is available during that time. Otherwise great value.
