A bit of a disappointment having stayed more than twice in the past. The room was entirely adequate and comfortable but lacked any real oomph !! A bit bland They now charge £6/ day for car parking, but that isnt actually declared very clearly when booking

This hotel was an old pub that has been converted into a 12 room hotel, We stayed in the family suite which was large and roomy and tastefully decorated, the only draw back for us was that the resturant that Hotels.Com says they have on site has been closed for a number of years and since we were without transportation we had to use taxies to go into town for our meals at a cost of 12 to 15 euro each way so that was an added expensethat we had not planned on. They do serve a nice breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again.

Hotel was ok, biggest issue I had was parking car, when I booked the hotel late last year car parking fee was £5 per day, when I arrived June 4th it had gone up to £10 per day without any warning I expect things to go up but not double, as we were away for 19 days wasn't happy but had no choice but to pay, didn't have enough time to arrange anything else

Brilliant bedrooms but lots of aircraft noise - bar areas very disappointing- need complete renovations but for bed to stay near airport and price we paid very acceptable- limited bar service from a cupboard but friendly staff especially Malibu who was charming and helpful

Oh my days - totally not like the website AND the Airport Car Parking is a NIGHTMARE ! I love the decor of the room, it looked lovely and the fact we had a family room, two rooms, that was fab BUT there was spiders and cobwebs so I asked for a hoover, and I ended up hoovering the whole quite and I am sure it hadnt been hoovered for a while ... awful ! No restaurant or Bar (well a bar in a cupboard but can't really call it a bar...) Parking - well you think it's a great price - £5 a night but then it takes £23 to get a taxi to the airport so that adds another £46 plus price of Hotel .. but the WORST thing is .. we got blocked in ! The Hotel Lady did say Please ensure you park so you do not get blocked in but how do you do that ? There is no car park markings, and there wasn't many cars there (it was a gravel car park) so my husband parked the car but when we got back, there was a car parked one side and another parked in front but thankfully cos my husband parked near the end, no one had parked there so thankfully he managed to go back and forth a few times to squeeze out but it is STUPID ! Why on earth did people park like that .. literally cars were blocked in all over the place ! I would NEVER stay here or park here again ... really really disappointed (and hubby moaned so I felt even worse for picking this place ! Thanks but no thanks)

It's ok for overnight stay for the airport, we had two nights because we was travelling to London. The restaurant is closed till further notice so had to order in. That information would have been welcomed before booking. Breakfast not so great and have to pre order. With it being next to Gatwick Airport the noise is very bad, no sound proofing at all, needs windows upgrading. The staff are very nice. Good for plane spotting ✈️😂

A good base for my 10-day business trip to Crawley. Quiet room facing away from the runway, so aircraft noise was not a problem. Good breakfast and (limited) dinner menu. I will stay again.

Large clean bed & room. Efficient shower. Night receptionist kept us awake to a point where I had to get up and speak to her about her constant talking in a loud voice and her music. I don't think she was aware of her loudness because she was wearing ear phones. Restaurant closed.

This visit was a mixture of great and disappointing! The great bits: - room was huge, - bed was huge and very comfortable - close to the airport and easy to find The disappointing bits: - when i arrived thenroom was unbarebly hot, not atempt during the day to cool down - i arrived at 1.30am and check in wasnt as smooth as the text message made out - the bathroom was filthy! Thenaltro safety floor was all marked and mouldy. - the Aqualisa Shower Valve was faulty. - Breakfast was very disappointing, no hot food, and the continental part was very weak and disappointing. - staff non exisitent and tables not cleared. When staff did appear they looked like a client and not like a member of staff (green trackies and a white crop top)

Very clean room basic but had exactly what we needed. We were round the back which actually really helped because you are right next to the airport so it wasn't as noisy as we expected. Bed was comfortable so bonus points and ample parking. We would stay here again if we fly from Gatwick in the future. The lady on reception who checked us in was also very friendly and informative

The overall hotel was nice. The breakfast could have been better, the jars could have had their tops on as the nuts seemed to be soft which wasn’t nice! And the fruit seemed very soft and tasted a bit funny. More variety of gluten free stuff would have been good. The bathrooms were quite mouldy and the shower looked as though it could do with replacing. But the rest of the room was great standard :)

Beautiful space. Clean and comfortable

The property was clean and the staff was so awesome. We stayed in Europe for two weeks country hopping and this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable place we stayed. Will definitely return

Room 4 was nice, however rooms 5 & 6 (external) smelt a little damp. Some mould in the shower cubicles. Reception lady was very pleasant and helpful.

Grubby room,in what looked like old garage. Restaurant old tables. Orange just and apple juice in old glass container all night. Jar coffee with lid open left open all night and next morning. Continental breakfast a joke.

Can't fault the ladies at the desk, really polite and helpful however the room let it down. The hairdryer was so dusty I had to clean it before using it. There was a mini fridge in the room which was also very dusty on the top. The bathroom floor wasn't in the best condition and there was mould in the bathroom shower. Other than that bed sheets were clean, had all the facilities and offered a really nice breakfast. Free parking was excellent too.

Room was spotless and a decent size. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Beautiful building with lots of character and nice grounds. Very convenient to Gatwick airport.

Pleasant stay but needed the winows open which made sleeping very difficult due to aircraft taking off right next to the hotel on the first day slightly quiter on the 2nd day with a change in the flightpath, however to be expected with a hotel so close to Gatwick airport

The hotel is very convenient for the airport. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom very nice.

We booked a king size room and we’re put in a small room in an poorly insulated extension which became terribly hot during the day and stayed hot well into the night. The air conditioning unit was temperamental, members of staff did not know how to make it work and the fan we were given incredibly noisy… certainly not a great experience

Well appointed, large room. Remarkably quiet given position of hotel opposite the airport.

Lovely, pretty rooms, with large comfortable beds. Rooms are stiflingly hot, and need air-conditioning or to have fans provided. I did ask, but was told they didnt have any. Windows do open, but unfortunately being just off the flight path do make this quite a noisy option. Great for Plane spotters though! Bemused by the fact there are no hangers or wardrobes. Very odd. Lovely toiletries, and good choice of tea/coffee in the room. Only a short drive from Crawley town centre, with lots of choices for dinner. (No dining available in the hotel, and no bar). Hotel does allow you to order takeaway if you wish, and will set up a table in the unused restaurant. Continental breakfast was more than adequate, and a nice touch. Hotel just feels a bit unloved. Could be excellent with a few inexpensive tweaks such as fans, hangers, ear plugs !

Stayed for 1 night before our early morning flight. We got a family room which comprised of 2 bedrooms. Both rooms was really nice, both had TVs in then and looked like it may of had a recent refurb. Thick carpets, radiators kept the room really warm. Great selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Staff were also really nice on check in and check out. Although the restaurant was closed they gave us many choices of restaurants in Crawley along with takeaways. If we fly from Gatwick again I'll be sure to book here again

room itself was tiny. Enough space at the foot of the bed for the in room mini fridge and my overnight bag. Enough room along the side of the bed for me to walk and then a tiny bed side cabinet, cost is for proximity to airport. Adequate parking. bed was spotlessly clean, bathroom was huge and looked and felt airy and clean. parts of the room, like the tv remote, the windowsills and top of the mini frodge, looked like theyd not seen a duster in months. And the mechanism for the roller blind in the bedroom was broken so i was unable to enjoy the natural sunlight outside Bathroom was clean, as was the toilet but the toilet seat didnt look/feel clean its in desperate need of replacement. whilst you could hear planes taking off, the sound was far far less than ive had coming from boiler rooms in other hotels ive stayed at. wasnt enough to be considered a disturbance. Breakfast, limited in range, but satisfying. The dining area has an air of romance to it. I would recommend a stay here. Overall, its a Bed and Breakfast... i slept well and had a decent breakfast... thus it delivered on what i needed.

That coupled with thin walls means it’s not for light sleepers! However, breakfast was brilliant. Cooked-to-order Full English and continental options. Room was clean and basic.

You could not be closer to the airport without being in an on-airport hotel at double the price, so especially if you have a rental car to return anyway, this is the place to stay. I've stayed in a few Gatwick area hotels, some large, some small, some in airport and some in town. This is the only independent hotel I'd return to: it's clean, the staff are super efficient and genuinely friendly, the rooms recently renovated. Yes, it's close to the runway so you'll hear the planes in the morning (but not overnight, there are few flights), otherwise dark and quiet. It said 'free parking', note that is only for first night. Breakfast by small hotel standards was excellent, and happened to be included in our rate. Choice of cooked items selected on check-in, plus yogurt toast good croissants juice and solid coffee choice. And for those from North America, this is an older building with lots of ups and downs and stairs and corners and small bathrooms and odd-shaped rooms - basically it's got character that a chain never could. An extra lamp or two and a couple of paintings and it could be fancy, but then it would cost more. All in all an excellent find! If it's not full next time I'm through I would definitely stay there again.

It was fine, even to arrive in pouring rain. Staff helpful, it being my first vist there.

This was a great hotel for an over night stay before heading to the airport early hours of the morning! The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Check in was very smooth and the lady informed us we could move our car to park right outside our room. The rooms were spacious and very clean with a massive bed which was very comfortable. Both myself and my partner felt very safe staying here. Overall the hotel was lovely, comfortable and cosy in a great location!

Overall ok, couple of issues, 1, breakfast very basic, 2, try and avoid room 1 noisy as right next to front door and reception, to make things worse just after midnight had to go and ask receptionist if she to keep noise down as was constantly talking and giggling loudly on her mobile which seemed right outside our door

No one was available to check us in as we arrived late after F1 Silverstone despite calling and emailing the property. Had to find another room at last minute.

The front staff were very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We reserved a king bed and did not get it, our room had a queen bed. We would not stay here again

Arrived late. Didnt get upgraded room, free bottle or late check out as «promised» in the app. Atleast they should apologize if it was impossible to deliver this. Hotel is otherwise good in general. Staff nice but again we were promised and payed for something else and th staff should have handled that. Be aware that the location seem «close» to the airport but it really isnt. You can not walk there and no buses. So its 25 pounds each way to hotel in taxi, so add that to your booking.

Terrific hotel - fantastic customer service - nothing was too much trouble.

The location is very handy for Gatwick airport. There is a member of staff there all the time, parking is totally stress free, and if you have to leave early they leave you a breakfast. In our case, the lady just prepared everything a bit earlier than normal and left it all out for us to help ourselves. When thinking about costings, I think the parking was £5 a day, but factor in that you have to then get a taxi there and back, which is £17 each way, so add £35 on when deciding if it’s best to stay somewhere initially more expensive but with a shuttle….

Wonderful stay just a few miles from Gatwick. Very convenient for a stay before or after flight into Gatwick.

Great location when flying in or out of Gatwick. The restaurant was closed while we were there but a short drive or cab ride to Crawley and there are plenty of options there. Rooms were fairly large and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is not a lot to do in the area, but it is convenient when flying from Gatwick.

Property recently updated, clean - i had a tiny room, which was fine, just needed a room near the airport. Great bathroom/shower. Great continental breakfast/coffee. Despite being less than a mile from Gatwick, Uber was $30 at night and $17 the next day, and took about 15 minutes.

Property is clean and receptionist was nice. My issue was the cost of a taxi from the airport and back, £26 each way. Would probably have been cheaper to stay at airport hotel. Driver has to pay £7.50 at airport for collection and drop off.

Very convenient from Purple Parking Gatwick. A far better option to driving home when exhausted late at night.

This quaint little place is conveniently located closer to S. Terminal at Gatewick Airport. Considerably quiet considering the runway is very close. Nothing to eat within walking distance except for the small breakfast they serve for a few hours. The bedding was clean and comfy.

Nice and friendly staff. Nice room, clean and fresh. Good English breakfast.

Loved it! The room was fantastic for our family of 4 and the full English breakfast was delicious.

Stayed here night before catching a flight. This was perfect for what we needed. Nice room, tastefully decorated with small ensuite. There was a fan in the room if required. Thick heavy curtains which kept the light out. Being so close to the airport means bound to hear the planes but it didnt stop us sleeping atall.Comfortable, beautifully clean, lovely big bed & fresh white linen. Staff were very helpful. Although the hotel isn't currently doing evening meals theres a good chef & brewer just up the road where we had a nice meal. You can also order in takeaway & use the dining area if you wish (takeaway leaflets & list of resteraunts provided in the room). Had a full english breakfast at the hotel & there was also a range of cereals, juices, toast, croissants, yoghurt & fruit all included. We were able to park our car at the hotel for the duration of our holiday. Will definitely stay here again next time we fly from Gatwick

Great location: right by the airport, but in an area that feels like its out in the country. Wonderful room, very clean, modern, and spacious. Excellent breakfast.
