The most disorganised and chaotic car park lead to trying to find a space for 20 mins at 9pm on a Tuesday night. Then had to queue at hotel check in as only 1 assistant. Who apologised and was friendly. The hotel and room are very beige, brown and drab and a piece of bright artwork somewhere would go amiss. I choose not to shower as the bath did not look too great to stand in. The bed was clean and comfortable, if you like 1 paper thin pillow.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful at the hotel. The room wasn't so great. Room 2127 one of the sliding doors was flapping around and not connected properly, 2 lights in our room did not work, the TV did not connect to any channels, there was hot water in the sink but this didn't transfer to the shower. It was too cold to use as a shower. The pressure from the cold was v high which potentially affected the hot in the shower. The bed was the worst bit which we didn't realise was bad until we go back from our function and then it was too late to ask to change rooms. The whole double had a hard bar across the bed and the bottom of one side was lower than the top so your legs kind of hung down and the other side it was the opposite legs too high. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but no teaspoon so had to use a pen to stir. We visited the pool was OK last entry for children 5pm and out by 6pm. Bring your own towel for the pool or its £1 extra per person. Breakfast was OK cooked breakfast, fruit, cereals and toast buffet style. The hotel also had a bar but we didn't use that. Car park v busy as people stay before going on holiday and leave their cars but we managed to park round the back.

Great spot. The pub had a great atmosphere and food. The gym that's on the property does cost a few pounds to use as it's a membership spot but that was alright for one or two nights definitely worth the price (steam/sauna/pool/hot tub/gym) The only let down was there was no internet in the rooms. You needed to go to the common area to use it. I would absolutely stay here again next time around.

We tried to find a car parking space which was near on impossible as car park was rammed. Checked in and found we were in the lodge well room so small no room to relax couldn’t dry hair as mirror was behind tv, , curtain didn’t fit properly, window couldn’t open. Was worst hotel room I’ve been in before. Asked at reception if I could change room, told no hotel full

It gets 1 star for its functioning toilet and a roof over our heads. Terrible in every other way. No shampoo in dispenser, hairdryer didn’t work, dirty, tired looking, uncomfortable and small bed. Parking on site is chaotic, insufficient and feels unsafe.

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, however the hotel needs a complete refurb. Communal areas need a total revamp. Lots of old, dark furniture. The room was dark and dingy and stank of stale cigarettes and weed. One of the towels had a brown stain on. It made the Travelodge look like Cinderella's castle! Not happy with the cleanliness at all but it was somewhere to lay my head for the night.

We were on a flying visit, literally one night and left the next morning. During our stay the staff were really helpful, informative and polite. The rooms were nice and clean but the bathrooms were very tired and dated but clean. The beds were clean and comfortable and kept us more than warm enough throughout the night. No complaints from us and we enjoyed our short stay here and breakfast was a good morning starter for us all too.

Booked for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Room had no natural light, holes in the duvet cover, mould in the bathroom, the bath had a brown stain in it & the bedroom and bathroom are in need of redecoration. Staff not interested & really unhelpful. Free Wi-Fi is restricted to communal areas only and the parking is diabolical. Certainly not worth the money.

Old, dirty and pretty out of date. Worst place i have stayed and i am traveling fir work every week. Britania hotels are all same grubby and messy places. I did book this place in rush and didnt realise it was britania chain otherwise will stay well clear. Never ever again. Stay away if you have respect for your money and time. Unless they spend tonnes to refurbish it is a s**t …

I am a great fan of Harry Potter, now I experienced how he felt with the cupboard under the stairs. The room is 110 euros. 12 square meters of full blown "days gone by". I do love my wife, don't get me wrong, but together in a 110cm bed in cozy. But then again... Well, it was convenient that we could park on site. But I would not book this hotel. Just don't, let us agree to that OK?

The hotel seems to be modern and offering clean well-presented rooms. The truth is far from it. The room was old and tired and not particularly clean feeling. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom was basic and it was a struggle to get the stand-in the bath shower working properly. No soap. Had to use the shower gel in the shower/bath instead to wash hands. Tea/coffee making facilities very basic. The car park was absolutely jam packed and it took us 20 minutes to find a place (and that was only because a member of staff had finished his shift). We heard drum and bass music playing loudly from somewhere as we tried to get some sleep. Overpriced for what it offers.

Good points - Room was clean, good shower over bath and comfortable bed. Big car park and within easy reach of Gatwick. Bad points - Says ‘Free WiFi’ when you book. It’s not. What it should say is ‘Free WiFi in PUBLIC AREAS ONLY’ there is NO WiFi in the room unless you pay for it and it’s £7 for 24 hours per device. Shaver charger in bathroom broken. Telephone so crackly reception can’t hear you. Bedside lamp didn’t work. Couldn’t turn lights on or off from bed. Whilst showering in the morning the room smoke detector went off. Walls are so thin I heard snoring from one side and a conversation from the other. Single glazed window did nothing to cover the noise from the M23. None of the room doors fit too well. I had to slam mine to shut properly as did several other rooms on my floor. All that said it was cheap at £65 for the night, but you get what you pay for!

When we first arrived ariund 9pm we asked the bar staff where was the restaurant we were welcomed with a very cold comment of "upstairs ". He didn't even mentioned that the restaurant was already closed and if we wanted to get something to eat we would have to order from the bar, he also didn't mentioned that we had to order quickly before the kitchen closed. One of the rudest hotel staff I've ever encountered.

Massive queue at check in and only one server. Bath tub was dirty and the place looks a bit run down. I needed a one night stay to go to Gatwick at 6am, they organised a taxi for me very efficiently. Overall I’d say it’s no frills, but for the price you can’t really argue. Very convenient for flying the next day.

Arrived at the hotel exhausted at 1am to be told their booking system was fault and I had no room. Fair enough, I’m sure no one wanted that situation. But to be yelled at by the receptionist as is if was the fault of all the exhausted travellers in same situation was a bit much. Offered absolutely no help or suggestions just shouted at us “THERE ARE NO ROOMS” repeatedly . Oh, and then made life very difficult for Expedia and grudgingly gave refund even though they did not provide ANY service. Can only report on lobby but also, if you really like the 1950s, this is the place for you …

Car parking was horrendous, got checked into an already occupied room, the rooms doors were falling off the wardrobe. The bed was so uncomfortable, what sleep i did get resulted in a sore back and neck.

From check in to checking out, the comfort of the room, the clean room and bathroom, the very helpful reception staff who went out of their way to help with me an urgent document I needed printed - it was an all round lovely , easy and very welcome experience .

We stayed at Europa Gatwick due to an early flight at the airport. We stayed in the lodge part of the hotel. Overall our room was clean and had few amenities such as a TV and a bath (which is very small!). There is a pub a very short walk away which was great. We chose not to use the airport parking facilities as it didn’t work out any cheaper than parking at the airport. Overall I would stay here again if I was flying from Gatwick.

The hotel was nice and enough parking. The reception were very organised. The rooms were large and comfortable and had a good might sleep. The food was nice but the queues were large but it is the holiday season so can expect that. Overall i would definitely come back again if flying from Gatwick again.

Super quick (10 minute) trip to Gatwick, which was ideal for my layover evening between international flights. The hotel was a big out of date and dark, but front desk staff was SO kind and helped me book a taxi easily for the next morning. Would stay again.

Staff were super friendly. Warm and welcoming from the outside. Rooms are outdated but fit for purpose. TV didn’t work and no plugs by the bed but staff were great and provided extension cord. Breakfast was great and well priced. Beds were so so, and quite noisy at night with the doors banging so not recommended if you’re after a quiet break (or request a room further down the corridor). Overall good value for money, great location and check in lady was fantastic.

Some staff friendly but bar staff rude & unhelpful. Building and facilities all very tired. Had to pay extra to use the pool and was initially told children can't use it afterr 4pm, yet check-in is From 4pm! Could not dine in as very limited seating. Breakfast selection was underwhelming: cooked breakfast, croissants & cereal okay. But tinned fruit. Dairy milk only. And the coffee was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced.

Our shower was broken- staff were so friendly and immediately moved us to a new room. Dinner and breakfast buffets were affordable and delicious. Beautiful garden area to unwind at the end of the day. Would definitely stay here again.
