Old building, which I really loved. Very good service. Had to queue at the bar. Very pleasant outdoor eating area. Great, varied menu. Plenty veggie options. Quite noisy at night due to club/bar next door open late. I didn’t mind but some might. Breakfast very varied and adaptable. Bedroom and bathroom very small. Overall, very pleasant and conveniently placed hotel with great food.

Central and good parking facilities. Excellent breakfast.

Enjoyed. Would stay again. Only complaint, and we have had this issue here bfore. Bar closes earlier than the 11.oo pm as stated.

Exactly as described stayed here several times very handy for picturedrome.parking good food very good. Only drawback, no leisure facilities and bar closes at 11will stay again when next in holmfirth

Central, good atmosphere , very close to the concert venue. Staff more than helpful. Only issue was that the bar closes at 11:00pm. so we had to go elsewhere for a drink after our concert.

Visited many times over the years. Tend not to use anymore as prefer to select a hotel with an EV charger. Room was the smallest single with no windows, only a roof velux. Apparently the last room available? Could not fully cover the roof velux so there was no blackout. At least I didn't oversleep and don't have a problem with this. Staff super friendly and breakfast exactly as requested. My only issues are parking is poor and if you're a late arrival you'll be in the public pay car park opposite or a side street. They have no EV charging and if you're unlucky you get the smallest windowless room. Otherwise, it's a great location and there are plenty of food choices to be had within walking distance.

Loved the room. Food excellent and hot. Only thing we didn't like was no lift..Next time we will get a lower ground floor room. We had the D luxe room brilliant..But three staircases up.not good if you are O A P...we will be back..thanks

This was our second stay at the Old Bridge. Staff are amazing, spotlessly clean and staff attentive on clearing tables quickly. Great location with free parking. We had a room in the eves that was a trek to get to. Poor shower that kept running hot and cold whilst using it. Got back to the hotel at 10.40pm to be told the bar was closed and staff had gone home, rather poor service for residents of the hotel.

Staff were warm and welcoming. The position of the Old Bridge is excellent and so were both breakfasts we had.a good selection of fresh fruit and nice choices on the cooked breakfast menu from Eggs Benedict to Full English Breakfast plus many more. Yes the room was small and some may say dated but it was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Thanks for a lovely stay we would book again.

We didn't feel particularly welcomed upon arrival, despite being paying guests. But the main issue was the room - dated decor, it was tiny, and it was dirty. There was a hair on the bed, dirt in the sink and on the shower walls, mould on the shower ceiling, dirty grout etc. The room was also boiling hot and very dusty. The dining room was also dusty and the teapots were dirty. It was completely overpriced and I wouldn't recommend staying there.

A smooth and helpful check-in. The room (Classic Double) had "tired" decor, and was small and cramped. Had to place one of our cabin size bags in the bathroom overnight to move easily around the bed. 2 x Bathroom shelves, basin & shower ill fitted and sloping with items falling off, some black mould on the upper shower wall & ceiling. Breakfast menu was reasonable, but service on the 2nd morning was poor & disorganized.

Its the second time we've stayed at the hotel, when attending a concert next door at the Picturedrome. The hotel is really nice, with both bar and restaurant facilities. The rooms are a little small, but are clean and comfortable. The main positive for the hotel is the staff. They are excellent. On our first night, in atrocious weather. Our room sprung a leak at about 7a.m. Ten minutes later we were allocated another room with no hassle. The bar.is good with a nice selection of beers and wine. Its a busy spot especially at weekends, but again the staff are great. The restaurant is really good. The breakfast is lovely, can fully recommend the eggs Royale. We had an early evening meal prior to the concert and it was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly. The two young ladies working the restaurant were busy but very good at their jobs...thank you. The outdoor area of the hotel is a little noisy, but thats down to the attraction of Holmfirth for its bars and music venues. If you're part of that crowd then the hotel is ideal for a stay. We'll certainly be back...thank you.😁

Staff were excellent and attentive and the breakfasts were good. Our room was comfortable if a little small and generally clean , although the tv remote was filthy and there was a lot of black mould in the bathroom. Bar closed a bit early even for guests.

Negatives - The room had a bad smell that we couldn't seem to air out like it was in the carpet? Various areas of the room weren't wiped down properly (radiators/ windows) and when we were checking to see if we could link the TV to a HDMI we were shocked to find that it was covered in thick dust. We don't think this was worth what we were charged for one night Positives - The staff were lovely, happy to help out with anything. The downstairs bar and restaurant is well decorated, a nice quiet space to enjoy an evening. The breakfast was really good! Waiting staff were very friendly and accomodating. Great location, just disappointed by the room we were given.

Upon arrival a manager was on the reception and was to busy with a colleague sorting out a shift with him ,there was another couple waiting behind us,hes said.ill be with you in a minute, that turned into atleast 5 minswe were just standing there whilst listening to them sorting out there shifts for November. Went to the room 17 and on first impressions it was ok but very tiny, almost a box room.went to the bathroom, not what i would expect as it was dirty ,dust , grime in the shower, dust on the floor under the sink etc. It was extremely hot in the room so i opened the window and got soaked as the drain above the window was pouring water straight into the room so i closed it straight away the guttering was leaking straight on the window. Went to bed that evening and ended up with a brusied hip as the mattress was lumpy and had a spring that scratched my hip as it was sticking in my hip, i was tempted to sleep on the floor but that was dirty so i stayed in the bed as there was no chair in the room.all in all terrible experience thank god it was only 1 night stay as we only went for a gig in the picturedome next door. Not worth £140 at all .

The shower had brown scum around the base, the mirrors and light switches were dirty and the tea cups had dust in them. Good choice for breakfast, pity the eggs were undercooked.

At £130 for a night this was very much at the top end of our budget. However we wanted to stay in Holmfirth itself for a gig. Our expectations therefore were quite high. Unfortunately as we opened the door to our room and it hit the bed we realised how small the room was. The shower was pretty weak and water didnt drain well. Bathroom shelf was at such an angle that things dropped off it and there were crisps and sweet wrappers down the side of the bedside table. Bed itself was ok. Staff were all very pleasant and we did not make an issue of these things as we knew the hotel was full and nothing could really be done. The position of the hotel was perfect for the picturedrome but I would probably take a cheaper hotel nearby in future and use a taxi

Our room was overlooking the rear of the hotel, which wasn't a problem, but there was a bar outside which was blasting music out until 12.45am. The rooms are clean but need a little updating. Having said that, we would stay again.

Excellent location for us the big downfall was the shower they are really small and if your above a size 12 you may struggle to get through the doors really disappointed for a hotel that seems to have high standards and costs

Room was very small for the price! Shower was tiny if your on the larger side. Had a blackout obviously not the hotels fault but sat for an hour in the dark. Was just very pricey for what it was!

We enjoyed our stay, hotel staff were friendly, Breakfast had great choice Village is beautiful, Only downside was our room. Room 17 is very small, bed blocked door from opening fully, had to enter sideways , This room would be perfect for a single use room not for couples

Upstairs though, the rooms are cramped and in need of an update. Windows needs updating to keep out the sound better. Bed was comfortable though.

Room small but adequate. Shower tiny , about 2 foot square. No room to turn, shower head almost touching your face. I'm average size and could only just get through gap in shower doors.

They do warn you about noise, but at a weekend it wasn't the noise from the venue which was a problem, it was the pub and it's customers at the back where people sat out talking until 2:30. Nothing the hotel can do to control this, but replacing the windows with newer more soundproof would help. The staff were as always very friendly & helpful. Will it stop me staying here? Overall no, but I'd avoid a Friday or Saturday night in the future

Room 17 was so small the door couldn’t open fully. Also the bed was very old and the mattress uncomfortable. A terrible nights sleep.

Neat clean room well furnished and equipped ,great staff attentive polite and jolly, breakfast had a couple of hic-cups but nothing serious no HP or other brown sauce but our server offered to go shopping !

The staff were very helpful and efficient. The young man on bar service was exceptional, did not get his name.

We arrived at 1pm having checked in on line. We couldn't get in our room till 3pm so went round holmfirth. When we went back at 4pm our room had been given to someone else. We were offered a twin room in the heavens but we had paid for a double so we werent happy. We were then offered another double which smelled of damp and the carpet was wet so we refused that as my wife suffers with asthma. After trying to find us alternative accommodation at another hotel, which were all full, we came to a compensation agreement and stayed in the twin room. Heidi was excellent in trying to sort the problem and very apologetic, we enjoyed a great stay and the unfortunate experience didnt spoil ourstay.

We were house hunting in the area & stayed one night at the hotel. From the minute we walked into reception, we were impressed how warm and friendly the team were, with a special shout out to Tate & Hollie who made sure that not only did we receive a lovely welcome, but then also took care of us during our dinner (which was fabulous!) as well. After a stroll around the town, we settled in the bar before dinner. And again, were delighted how friendly the bar team were... and it was great when they were able to seat us early for dinner, despite being rushed off their feet. Our room (18), whilst a little small, was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a brief stay. We would definitely stay there again, and if we're lucky to move to Holmfirth, we would also recommend it to any visitors who couldn't fit in the house!! :-) *Tate / Hollie, no news yet but we're keeping our fingers crossed!

1.Receptionist curtly said “Check-in is at 3” & turned her back on us when we arrived early 2.Ordered sandwiches at the bar. Told there was an hour wait for food. 4.My cheese & pickle sandwich, had dry, stale bread, commercially shredded cheese & tortilla chips were stale. My husband also had stale tortilla chips. Returned my sandwich & asked for my money back, the staff were unsure how to give a refund. 5.At 2:50 my husband went to reception desk & was told “Oh the rooms have been ready for ages”. 6.We went up to room #17 to find the door wouldn't open halfway as it hit the bed. Had to turn sideways to enter room. 7.The shower cubicle was about 2-foot square, no ventilation & there was black mould in sealant & on ceiling. 2 towels were threadbare & frayed. 8.We complained at reception & was told that there were no other rooms available. This room was a health hazard. In an emergency, it's not possible to get out in a hurry due to the restricted door opening. 9.In the evening we ate in the restaurant-fish & chips – me the small portion and my husband the large. I doubt there was 4oz & 7oz respectively. 10.We ordered eggs and bacon and Eggs Royale for breakfast. Back bacon was brown and impossible to cut. Poached eggs were undercooked. Sent them back and they came back the same. 11. At check-out, I repeated my complaints. The woman said she was refunding my money to my card and took my card to do so. That was on the 7th. As of today (14th) no refund.

Great location to stay over if you are attending an event at the excellent Picturedrome venue literally next door. Cracking bar with selection of ales. Nice food. Room we had was small but fine for just one night. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Perfect place to stay if visiting Holmfirth - all the staff are wonderful and take care of you as soon as you walk through the door. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed both meals - again staff and service superb! The only negative was that our room was at the back of the property and the bars in the lane were rowdy until 1.30 am - so request a room at the front of the hotel to avoid this. Would definitely recommend and stay again without hesitation.

Poor choice of gluten free food i brought my own cereals. And lunchtime choice gmhad very little for anyone who is gluten intollerant. I didnt eat there for dinner so i cant coment on that. Otherwise everything was fine

Found easily and parking was great. Very good customer service in all areas. Very attentive staff in restaurant and bar. Breakfast was great as was dinner. Very comfortable public areas. Room was compact but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Room smelt of dogs. Orders had mistakes. Again bar shut at 11.00pm. Short staff. You are losing money.

Good, the staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast really good couple of issues with the evening meal and bed a bit to hard for me everything else ok central to shops and bars

Great hotel in the centre of Holmfirth. The food was excellent as we're the staff, they worked so hard and we're always on the go. Only downside was the room was very warm, however there was a fan provided which helped a little bit. Good stay and would stay again.

Brilliant food two nights in the restaurant. Excellent cooking for dinner and generous fine breakfasts. Everything faultless!

Sunday roast dinner was fantastic, room 27 was renovated and comfortable.
