Ease of access from the road network. Convenient parking. Good range of ground floor rooms with disabled access. Friendly, helpful staff. Responsive to needs. Very good food.

Good location with parking (charged £7 per night). Clean with very comfortable beds and quality bedlinen and towels. Restaurant on site, cannot comment as we unfortunately couldn’t eat there as big time delay in food service. Many choices for dining in Salisbury a short drive away. Recently renovated, looks fresh and modern. Long corridors, two floors, no lifts. Our room felt like it was one of the furthest away from reception and up one floor so not great if you have mobility issues or when you get locked out of your room with key card due to computer not updating time after clocks went back. Comfortable bar area but maintenance/construction workers being hosted by management in this area in evening as well as over breakfast alongside guests. Staff generally appeared disorganised, very obviously a new team who had no clear direction. Not quite what we were expecting.

A little funky to find, because the picture doesn't look at all like where you enter, but the friendly customer service was excellent. We were lucky to get onsite parking which was so convenient. While not in city center, it's an easy walk to everything. Comfortable beds. I would stay here again.

This was a type of standard motel. Nothing outstanding but everything neat and clean and near the tourist sights. The only problem that faces the property is the occasional lack of parking. It did not affect our stay.

Booked hotel due to advertised Gym and spa facilities. Both gym/spa are closed EVERY evening between 6pm-9pm, so no good for anyone working. Very disappointing.

Place is under refurbishment so unfair to give an assessment. Only disappointing thing was that we were not informed that there was no bar or restaurant before we arrived, so had to go elsewhere for dining,very annoying and inconvenient.

We had a lovely stay here= the staff and breakfast was excellent! The lower starts are only because the hotel is undergoing a refurb and so a lot of facilities weren't available and the outside didn't look the best due to plant/barriers etc. This will be temporary and I think will be great when all done! We were warned of the refurb atthe time of booking. Would definitely rebook!

Met for a girls weekend and stayed one night. Staff were amazing and really helpful, breakfast was lovely and well stocked with cold and warm buffet. Only slight disappointment was the parking charge of £9 per night, which is also applicable to blue badge holders! …. Pretty hefty considering we were paying guests. Due to our number and the number of rooms we had booked, this was negotiated and the hotel staff were really obliging after we queried. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.

The tea and coffee facilities were dirty and the bed was ancient; quite hard and lumpy. Well-situated for easy walk into town and very friendly staff.

Great location. Easy to walk into Salisbury. Lovely welcome from reception staff. Room was a good size as was the bathroom. Unfortunately the desk was not really as clean as I expected. The old coffee pod was still in the machine, one of our glasses had drink residue in it and there were sticky patches around the drink area. Sheets were very clean. Bathroom floor had hair and dust on the edges of the floor. Just felt that it needed a little more care and attention. We had dinner there on the first night and our main was cold. We didn't say anything as we had had a long drive and just wanted to get to our room. On reflection maybe we should have.

The only room they had available for us smelled like mildew, had peeling wallpaper, potentially dirty sheets, and mold in the shower. After I asked for another room, the receptionist told us they had another room that normally reserved for staff sleeping quarters, but the window didn\'t close. So at 12:30 AM (after we arrived around 11:30 PM), he and I are in that room attempting to get the window closed enough to latch. We managed to latch it, so my wife and I could just go to sleep. In the morning, maintenance knocked on our door at 8 AM. Evidently not getting the message that the room had been booked with a paying guest. They were doing construction while we were there and I\'m willing to forgive that mess, but we will never go back. I asked the receptionists upon check out about the bill, hoping they might knock a few pounds off for our trouble and they told me I didn\'t owe any additional money for staying in the "suite." Gee, thanks. I certainly hope I wouldn\'t be charged for fixing your broken window. The manager was supposed to call me and follow up but I haven\'t heard a peep.

Room was well decorated and clean but stains on the carpet spoilt the look. Shower and sink hot water was tepid despite running it for over 10 mins. Breakfast was plentiful and good choices but hot food on warming buffet style plates was lukewarm.

Although room was nice, small things like cobwebs on thermostats high up and a broken electrical box on the wall let it down The bed and pillows did not suit us for comfort but that was not really a problem

Don’t understand how this can be classified as a 4* hotel. Really run down and dated. Over priced. Had to pay extra for parking. Tap leaking in bathroom. Food crumbs left on carpet. Poor quality breakfast. Only redeeming feature were the friendly staff.

I found this hotel disappointing on my two night stay at the end of July. Having booked and paid for an ‘executive’ room, I expected it to have something special about it. However, it was much the same as a standard room in any average hotel. The room was not very big and had no view, looking out directly onto a flat roof. There was no luggage rack so I had to open my suitcase on the floor. The bathroom was very small. My breakfast on the first morning was very disappointing, there was practically nothing left on either the continental or the hot buffet style, serve yourself, breakfast and I ended up with a plate of almost cold scrambled eggs, there were two rashers of bacon remaining in the buffet which I declined as they appeared too undercooked for my taste. There was more available on the second morning but, although it was edible, I would not rate it very highly. On checking out I found I had been charged £9 a night for parking in the hotel car park, despite the hotel website advertising parking at £5 a night. On pointing this out to the manager he refunded the parking fee. On asking about the ‘executive’ aspect of my room I was told that it was graded as such because it had a flat screen television and air conditioning! The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it is in a good location, being just a short walk to Salisbury it’s centre. I would not stay there again, or recommend this hotel.

The hotel kindly let us have an early check in as we were attending a wedding. We chose the hotel as it had air conditioning and was close to the wedding venue. The executive room was spacious with plenty of plugs. We arrived back just after midnight and the room was hot and stuffy and the window can only open about an inch. We switched on the aircon. The aircon however was awful - it was situated next to the main bed about 2 feet up from the floor and 3 feet from the bed side on. It was hugely noisy and too much so close too even on the lowest fan setting. I can’t understand why on earth it was positioned there, completely the wrong place. At 03.45 I switched it off as was struggling with sleep because of the noise and its proximity. It needs servicing attention and repositioning. The bathroom is old and it’s a step in for a shower with a fixed shower head and a horrid plastic bath shower curtain. Water pressure poor and shower head needs de calcifying. Bed ok and comfortable, pillows ok but of the thin firm nature. Tea and coffee available in the room. Relatively inexpensive at £110 a night and would have been good if the aircon had worked and the shower a lot better - otherwise not so good

Lovely hotel, helpful staff, spacious room and modern bathroom. The only thing to improve would be the air conditioning which was not working. It was very hot in the room though the hotel did provide 2 fans. Ideal location for walking into Salisbury and parking was great. Will definitely stay there again.

This property is definitely a Tale of Two Hotels. The front is a beautiful historic building with a lovely bar and rooms, the restaurant in the middle more modern, and the back of the hotel had more average rooms which arent shown in the pictures. Our room was a bit tired but it had a new AC and the bed was very comfortable. The website listed laundry but there isnt a self service laundry on site, rather a laundry service which we dodnt want. The staff are amazing and the hotel very convenient. We wish we had paid a bit more and stayed in one of the nicer rooms!

Staff were friendly and accomodating. Paid for an executive room, and it was dirty and run down. Be aware there’s no elevator. Dirty bedding, marks all over walls, there was no way to turn off the overall heating so the room was much too warm, couldn’t fully open the window, and when trying to put on the aircon it was full of mould and dirt which isn’t good for someone with breathing issues like myself, nor anyone for that matter. Overall it was fine for one nights stay but I wasn’t really impressed.

No Wi-Fi connection despite it being advertised in the itinery. Shower didn’t work so we couldn’t shower. Property not responding to our emails asking about these issues.

The hotel is exactly as described. The staff were all incredibily well trained and gave outstanding customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were incredibly welcoming. A delightful place to stay

Lovely hotel for a few days break. The manager John and his assistant were so helpful to ensure we could park even though they had a function booked and Lucy the receptionist was really helpful. Very close to the centre which has a great selection of pubs and restaurants also only 10 mins from the cathedral, good value for money too. Worth a visit

Staff were excellent, especially Lucy at the reception, she helped us with booking printouts and satna problems we incurred.

We had a lovely couple of nights staying in a more than spacious standard double room. Breakfast was included in our stay and we could not fault the food nor the proximity of the hotel to Salisbury centre.

Really nice hotel location and central to the city. Easy to get to. Sat nav takes to the road before so don’t turn off as it’s on the main road after the junction. We arrived early as lunch booked and staff booked us in and offered to call when the room was ready. I really like Salisbury for having an easy weekend stay, god pubs, restaurants and small walks in between. I love having a beer near the rivers and watching the world go by. Market day Saturday so the city was busy but just a nice place to visit. Will return 👍

Breakfast was a shambles, lukewarm hot buffet breakfast, what was there, uncleared tables, and i was asked to move whilst eating because they needed to get in the cupboard.

The room was extremely comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was lovely, carefully thought out. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre of Salisbury which was great. The breakfast was good and varied. My only criticism was the evening menu was very pedestrian. We ate there once and it was well cooked and presented and good value but the choice so boring.
