Staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room. Plenty of parking. Down sides, restaurant was closed for a function, we did not know until arriving at check in desk. This did not impact us this time but may impact others. Hotel is out of Salisbury town centre, but there are bus stops very close to the hotel . Buses are frequent and very reasonable. This makes the hotel accessible to town. Would I use the hotel again? - Yes

There were a few niggles in my room, but nothing drastic, hence the 4 stars in areas. But the team working, especially when we checked in, were friendly and helpful. The road was quite close to my room, but I couldn't really hear it, so didn't disturb me at all. And travelling for work, often in a truck, it's not always easy to find somewhere that can accommodate this, but The Stones have a massive car park, so this was a huge plus.

There was plenty of parking and the price was perfect!

Hotel has no lift, so disabeled people like me cannot easy to access secon-floor room. Also hotel didnot keep car parking lot for disabeled people, I donot know this kind today ‼️

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary weekend in Salisbury. The check in was disastrous, the service in the restaurant was poor and on our anniversary night the restaurant was closed for a wedding!! As there were no other restaurants within walking distance we went to the garage nextdoor for some sandwiches. Great way to spend your anniversary!!!

Spacious and good accommodation with free parking enjoyed our stay here.

I stay here several times a year as the location is perfect for my place of work, and I make use of the small but adequate gym, the hotel is making progress since its takeover, the menu has changed and there is a nice selection and choice, I do sometimes still encounter a mix up with my bill or room type, but these are always rectified by the helpful staff. I do hope the hotel continues to improve as its generally a pleasant place to stay.

Everything fine but I would not return on principle since absurdly the hotel bar does not accept cash.

Room was clean but stifflinly hot and the windows only opened a couple of cms , it stayed hot all night. It is a cashless hotel. We ate and drank at a nearby pub as we prefer to support businesses that give customers the option of cash or card.

I stay here frequently as I make use of their small, but functional gym, the hotel is fine, staff do their best to help, usually a lack of staff at busy times isn't ideal, but I would stay again

Beautifully clean , large room and very helpful friendly staff

I had a suite with two bedrooms which will sleep six people comfortably, absolutely spotlessly clean, it had a mini kitchen and living room to relax in.

Only stayed one night, and they accommodated a very late check-in of 2:30am due to a delayed flight. When we woke up we were able to appreciate the gorgeous scenery. Rooms were clean and they provide coffee, tea and creamer in the room.

This place reeks of "owned by foreign conglomerate which only vaguely understands how a hotel should operate and has little to no direct oversight of day to day management." I've never regretted a hotel choice so quickly in 15 years. They advertise themselves as some kind of country hotel with a bar and restaurant, but both were completely dead at 1700. The one receptionist was also the bartender. 6 quid for a pint, which felt really overpriced given the rest of my experience. No outdoor area to drink and smoke, so the receptionist said I could use the large patio out back... which was unlit and only accessible through a maze of corridors with automatic lighting and then a fire exit. After all that I just skipped everything else and went to my room to watch the large smart TV in bed. The next morning, reality set in. I saw the showerhead was extremely corroded. When I turned the pressure on, the 12" diameter showerhead FELL OFF, missing my head by inches. So I tried to make a coffee to wind down from that only to see the kettle was extremely corroded with residue in the bottom that looked months old. Complained to front desk and got swapped to another room across the hall, but they coded the key card wrong. So I had to trek the 100 yards back to the desk with all my gear to get that fixed. In the new room the kettle was also filthy. And it didn't have a smart TV. They did refund my first night, but I am just so genuinely perplexed and annoyed by the entire affair.

Could of done with a hoovering as after my shower my feet picked up alot of dirt from the carpet. Alot of noise from outside in the morning and some drunken fool making alot of ruckus late at night with his shouting Shower was nice but limited on the temperature. Located on a main road with petrol station close by. Staff were friendly and welcoming

The room was nice and clean. Very basic unfortunately. Gorgeous view from our room. Bed was so comfy. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Arrived at 9pm quick check in, a couple of drinks in the bar, reasonably priced too!!! Didnt have dinner or breakfast as we left around 6.45am. On the whole very comfortable and clean.

Room 205, I could only get boiling hot water out the shower, the guy on reception said he had fixed it whilst I was out but then in the morning it was still the same. No remote for the TV I was offered one but would have had to bring it back to reception before 9am. The bin in the bathroom was still full of rubbish from previous guest. Don’t take this room if you aren’t tiny as you will struggle sitting on the toilet it has been squeezed into a tiny space not very comfortable and I’m not huge.

Nice clean, comfortable room. The sound of doors being opened/closed outside in the corridor seems extra loud for some reason. Maybe it’s just where my room was situated but yeah. Found it hard to sleep with all the clicking and closing of doors.

Rooms a good size, but the TV was only via internet log-ins. Shower was not very powerful. Restaurant service was extremely slow. I had to wait 25mins for a drink..

Beds were comfy. We did have a room with the kitchen extractor exhaust out side the window which was VERY loud and asked to move rooms. Other than that it’s a nice place to stay

Room needs air conditioning

Hotel from ground floor was ok and quite modern looking. Rooms unfortunately were dated, incredibly hot (no air con), rock hard mattresses. Breakfast wasn’t much better with the coffee machine dishing out milk with a tiny dash of coffee making the most undrinksble coffee I’ve ever tasted. Luckily there’s a garage next door serving coffees.

We booked an executive double. The room we got was completely substandard. The overhead shower was broken, the window was cracked, the window didn't shut properly, the blind was broken, the floor strip between the bedroom and bathroom was loose with screws sticking up, the hand soap pump didn't work, there was no loo roll holder. On top of this, because the blind was broken, we didn't see that the window was open when we arrived, with a flat roof outside connecting multiple other rooms. This is a huge security risk, especially when the window is broken. Additionally, the room was by the kitchen and it was super noisy; sounded like a generator turning on and off every few minutes. In the morning, when we went to discuss with reception, they confirmed we weren't even in an executive room. While I am grateful we were moved to a better room for out second night, we shouldn't have been in a basic room to begin with and the room was totally unsuited to having people stay in it anyway. I will not be reusing.

Exec room needed 2 comfy chairs and a table. TV did not swivel.Door closers noisy, clunk bang from 6 am in the morning. No air con so if the weather is hot an option of opening the window is a choice of traffic noise or heat. Did not eat in the restaurant as the menu looked very average, A whole side dedicated to Mac (what ever that is).

There was not adequate staff for the services. Both times we attended the restaurant for dinner, we waited nearly an hour & our food order was wrong. The price of the food was steep for the quality. The staff was annoyed with our questions.

We had a 3 night stay at The Stones Hotel Salisbury. The Receptionist Angelina (I think) weekend 13 - 15 July - was excellent She had a sincere smile. She was professional and very helpful. It was extremely hot and she arranged for a fan to be provided. A very pleasany lady. The Executive Double room is roomy with a fabulous large bed with very comfortable quality cotton bedding. The bathroom is a nice size with a large walk in shower cubicle. The overhead rain shower is powerful and large with an alternative hand shower all very simple to use. We were visiting friends who insisted we eat with them so we cannot comment on the restaurant or the food but the menu is extensive. All in all a very nice place to stay and we will return in the future.

I’ve left several reviews for this hotel, the main issue I always find is the lack of staff at busier times, I spoke to one member who was in charge of the reception, bar and restaurant, this is fine if the hotel is very quiet but not so good when busy. Rooms are great though, fairly limited breakfast but enough for my needs.

Have stayed at hotel before. The staff are very friendly professional and helpful, this was one of the reasons for booking again. Plenty of on site parking. We will use the hotel again.

The hotel is pleasant and is in a great location. The rooms were basic but clean. On arrival the member of staff on reception didn’t have a lot of knowledge when being asked questions. Breakfast times as one example and had to go and find out. Perfectly polite but just not very informative or seemed confident in her role. Breakfast on our first morning was a little strange being asked what we wanted to eat before we’d even sat down. The bacon had a funny after taste and the mushrooms were from a can and not very nice. We didnt have breakfast there again and wish we had t spent the morning on the one for the first morning and gone elsewhere. When asking for a drink from the bar at 2pm with our group of friends I had to ask the person on reception as there was no one at the bar and I was told that it was not possible as there was nobody from catering to serve us. She did then attempt a coffee for two of us and we had to send one back as it tasted like burnt milk. We also were made to feel like we were just an inconvenience even asking for a drink. All in all there just weren’t enough staff and one person on duty for the entire hotel lounge, bar, restaurant, just wasn’t enough. Such a shame as it has so much potential.

The hotel is really nice, but the people working there are AMAZING. The two girls at the reception were so lovely and helpful (I think one was called Kelsey, sorry! I’m terrible with names). Check in and check out on point and when we asked for some towels we got them in minutes. I recommend this place without any doubt.

I asked for a quiet room as I was in a business trip. But next door was noisy at night and being lound. I tried to reach the reception from midnight to 1am in the morning. No one was there. Basically you can do whatever you want at night and no one can help.

I've stayed here many times over the years, nothing much has changed since my last visit, the rooms, food and most of the staff are good, however on this occasion I had an issue with my door access lock, one evening I couldn't gain access to my room, unfortunately the person in charge didn't handle the situation well, she clearly doesn't have any hospitality experience or customer facing skills, she eventually got the manager in from home and they did manage to open the door before a locksmith was going to be called, I didn't get any apology for having to wait an hour when I needed to get to bed. As I've mentioned before, this place could be very good if the right management were in charge.

Great shower. Close to Stonehenge and Salisbury. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff.

Seemed like a good choice for visiting Stonehenge. However, without a car, it was a bit in the sticks. But it was an economical choice, even with the 13 pound charge from the train station. The other issue I had, and raised with the staff was, without any businesses around the hotel other than a gas station, there should have been some accommodation for purchasing sundries. Also, there was no other choice than ordering a full breakfast, as I asked to buy just tea and toast, which wasn't possible. This, added to the fact that there was no ability to make coffee or tea in our room. This was a real shortcoming by the hotel, and I told them so.

It was ok and clean and comfortable, I was hoping that there would be food available or room service but not during the day, plenty of parking and was quiet, I would recommend for a short stay as convenient for Salisbury and surrounding area. the room was a good size.

There was a wedding during the day but they didn’t tell us that the restaurant wasn’t open for food in the evening. Either email or twice on reception when checking in and asking question about other information. The light on mirror wouldn’t switch off ,which shown into the room. Very noisy in the room as next to main road, better windows would have helped. Disappointed for the price

Such a great place to stay when visiting Stonehenge and surrounding area. Lovely room, very kind staff, and convenient location if you have a car. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The hotel has nice common areas and the staff were lovely and helpful. I wasn't super impressed with my room. Considering the price of the rooms, it was small and had cracks all over the walls and was in need of upgrade. You could hear everyone outside of the room and it was unbearably hot, even with both windows open. It was not a particularly warm night outside so I'm not sure how the heat was so intense in the room. The restaurant is not open on weekends or bank holidays so we were unable to dine in which was disappointing but there is a lovely pub down the road. I would recommend the hotel on deal but I think for the high price point it needs an upgrade.

Good food, has a bar, bed is comfortable, shower was wonderful

Staff was nice enough. Dinner in the restaurant was meh for the pricing. Ordered a steak and kidney pie. What we got was a mushy gravy in the crust. Didn’t eat any but they wanted to charge us for it anyway. Otherwise it’s a clean hotel.

Good location and check in staff were great. Good room with excellent bed. Basic breakfast was expensive (£12). Water pressure in the morning was at a absolute trickle (and cold) which was not good.

Very nice room,comfy bed. Very helpful staff, seemed very short staffed though. The 2 ladies were doing everything - reception, waitressing and bar! Disappointing dinner, frozen pie.

Everything was well presented. The evening meal was excellent and very tasty.
