The room was lovely. When we arrived, and on other occasions, reception was unstaffed with no bell or other mechanism to reduce the 15 minute wait for a key and room allocation. Parking was exceptionally good. The building is characterless but clean and functional. The door fitted poorly and was rigged with an alarm if left open for more than 10 seconds, which was a bother. There is a gym which is very small but well equipped and clean with newish equipment. The overall feeling is of a place in need of a face-lift, including the decaying entry decking, however we had a great night's sleep on the comfy mattress in the generous room.

Stones hotel was conveniently located and offered us a lovely place to stay as we explored nearby sights. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Becca who went completely out of her way to ensure that our stay was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.

This hotel had the nicest front desk clerk, Becca. She was incredibly helpful, kind and professional. The cleaning staff was also very nice. However, in summer, without air conditioning the room was unbearably warm and stuffy. Some of the normal amenities were missing and the restaurant was nothing to write home about. Great location to see the area and with great staff, I would stay again.

I stay here frequently due to the ideal location for my place of work, since the hotel changed hands several years ago it hasnt been the same, its very poorly staffed, often only one or two staff in at any one time, having to deal with check-in, the bar and any resturant needs. I have stayed in numerous rooms and all seem to have no or little regular maintenance especiall the showers where a good de-scale of the heads, and repairs to the controls are neccessary. Most of the staff are very helpful however I feel the overall management of this hotel is the primary cause of the issue mentioned.
